I wish they sold these here, I would absolutely get one
You can get one online
@@Ours89 where online?
@@l4b3nd3ot0kki X2
@@Ours89 Also depending on what country you live, not every phone has the same connection capabilities. There are many channels around the world for phones and most areas don't support all of them. Every phone is limited to the channels that the hardware allows it to connect to. That is why different phones have regional versions and why phones made in Asia usually can't be used in the US unless the specify that it can.
Even though you might not be able to get the exact one there are some simmilar ones here
I switched to an iPhone 11 after using this for more than 6 months. I will say you become really patient, your screen time reduce tremendously and... it's aesthetically adorable. For what it is, it's worth it if it makes you happy. On the long run... you might struggle a little when you really need your phone to run fast for something important. Nonetheless, it was a very happy period for me and I enjoyed it very much. Hope you're enjoying the experience so far!
Edit: This model is called the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2.
This is NOT the Z Flip Flagship phone series. To those spreading misinformation stop it.
This was the main reason that I switched to a flip phone! Majorly decreased screen time, and the joy of using something cute when I was sending a text or taking a call; I totally recommend the switch. But, I also really agree - I still use my old iphone for Google Maps because the flip phone is NOT cutting it lmao, and I recently had an internship that required smart phone functionality for some of our IT infrastructure, and once again, the flip was not delivering. I think that the new samsung flip is a nice compromise for both functionality and lifestyle purposes, but that price tag is disgusting.
@@GrassCannibals does it lags or smth while taking a phone call or texting?
@@530hg Why would it lag? It’s a $1000 phone. Android isn’t what it was in 2011
@hottiekavani9421 I think you have the wrong phone, this is not $1000
@@MultiColouredVagina I meant the Flip 4 lol
I am still praying that flip phones and normal keypad phones make a comeback. It took me years to decide to get my first smartphone just because I never really liked how they looked and because I loved my Motorola Flip at this time. I know that in Korea a few Android Flips got released, which looked really cool, but were never really available here in the West. :(
I felt quite nostalgic watching this.
Sooooo true. The physical keys and the small sizes phones are what I really miss a lot!!!!
Motorola got a new flip phone! Touch only, looks like the Samsung flip but pure nostalgia
@@sweetlove3391 this is the reason why physical keypad is a thing of the past, due to users complaining about how the touchscreen was too little and how physical keyboard took a lot of space, while there's a built in virtual keyboard.
More than flip, I'm praying Sliding phones with smartphone features would make a comeback.
The reason that (at least until recently) flip phones are still a thing in Asia is because the physical keyboard makes it easier to type in characters. Not sure about Korean specifically since iirc Hangul is just a type of alphabet but Japanese is much easier to write on a physical keyboard
You know what I miss? Does anyone remember when we were able to add the dangling charms to your phone? I loved it!....but I was also the one that got the glowing antennae and battery in the design of a dragon lol
oh there are cases you can get these days with two little holes to loop charms/lanyards through !! so you can attach charms even to smartphones :D
I've seen this on smartphones too!
@@sayac.1737 I guess I will have to find those
@@user11871 I didn't find any good ones and I saw that they plug into the USB port
@@sinceritydjp I currently have one and i got mine on shein, I wasn't looking for one but it came on the case. Tons of charms too on there
As a '95 baby, this unboxing was a surprisingly super nostalgic trip to memory lane. It really reminded me of my 11 y.o self getting her very first phone-- a flip one ofc! It was the cutest thing, that's for sure. But texting friends was also a pain in the ass 😂 I actually miss that silly thing now. Loved your video 🥰
'98 baby here. My first phone was also a flip phone, a tiny LG! Texting for me was good, though. I was pretty fast as it
92' here ✌️😁
@@rani.andretti that's so funny, my first phone /was/ a tiny LG flip phone too 😂 you were definitely more skilled than me with texting haha
You are almost thirty, why are you calling yourself a baby 😉
@@tatianami3891 oh don't worry, I stopped feeling like a baby for a while now 😂 but nostalgia sometimes makes me feel like I was a kid just yesterday! Life sure goes by fast...
Same!
same here with not a tiktok user, but i hope Samsung is just like here have a folder 3
Also not a TikTok user but what does TikTok have to do with this video literally at all
@Edgelord this phone is trending on tiktok that's why
samsung (a korean phone company) recently released a flip phone with touchscreen.
I was always obsessed with old school Japanese Keitai flip phones. I had one in Highschool (DOCOMO Sharp SH-10C lol I can' believe I still remember the name) and it had a lot of limitations but it was still one of my favorite phones ever. To this day I don't think any of my other phones had a better camera. I got another Keitai a few years ago, it was a smartphone hybrid very much like this one but the screen could flip around and fold back down so you could also use it as a regular smart phone (FREETEL Musashi was the make and model). Now I own the Flip 3 lol. I hope someday Samsung will bring these back!!
wow, did you manage to make it able to make calls or connect to wifi? im in the US so I don't know if it would be possible to use any kind of docomo phone or keitai in general functional here.
@@allisoncvsgfsgsgfddfh imported phones always have a tough time using networks from overseas I think, but even though the reception wasn't was good as it could've been, it was still totally usable; calls, text, internet and all!
(I'm in Canada, I use Rogers and they work with pretty much any unlocked foreign phone)
i hope they make a refreshed 2023 or even 2024 release of this phone. it would be good for people like me who only really use their phone outside the home. im usually on my mac/computer when im at home because i prefer the bigger screen and it would be great
omg this was recommended in my page and honestly i get so many nostalgic memories about this phone. back then there's no touchscreen in the flip phones so you have to use the keypads really well. some phones have protective covers since the letters could fade out.
texting using this phone is also easy! you can type out any messages without looking as long as you memorize where the letters and punctuations are and how many taps you need to insert the letters. i hope you have fun using it! ❤
I remember the ones I had
i hated texting them
it takes so long
@@giseleroza9795 well its quite fast if you're lucky to be texting in a "popular language" such as english, because they used to have a better predictive text functions. You didn't have to click three times for, like, a "c", you could only click the main buttons. which is pretty cool that there was an autocorrect of sorts back then.
Seriously! I was an expert in typing blind lol.
My parents were divorced so I got my first cellphone in kindergarten. My mom bought me one so I could call her when I had to go with my dad since he wouldn’t let me call her. I used to call her when I got scared and she read me stories over my little blue flip phone she got me. I still have it and it still works. I miss my old little flip phone. I love the smartphones, but a flip phone was so nice with how small they were and how you could go days without charging them.
I WAS JUST- I WAS JUST LOOKING INTO THESE KINDS OF PHONES THE OTHER DAY BECAUSE I MISSED THEIR DESIGN AND HOW CUTE AND FASHIONISTA YOU COULD GET WITH THESE PHONES I LOVE IT !!!!!
I am a Korean and I felt proud to use this Galaxy folder phone abroad. I currently use the Galaxy A53. Might be awkward using a translator
this is adorable! i love the shots of this, the bgm choice and overall, the editing of this, and the phone itself is absolutely cute :D
i love how samsung is lately going back in flip phones, as a flip phone sucker too, i really love how they merge modern smartphones with them so they aren't only for calls and messages 👀
also little note, happy late 2023, i hope you can upload more this year :) take breaks whenever you need them, take your time to make these videos great, and don't stress yourself ^^
Great review! This is much more informative than the other reviews. Love how you decorated your phone. So cute! 😍
Your nails are so pretty and your voice is so calming to hear. From the video thumbnails, the video itself, your room (?), decors, everything just screams cute and lovely.
Putting stickers on the plastic sheet is genius. Thank you for the review. This looks great for millennials and older who have tiny hands 😅
Why is it great for millenials
@@tfkdandsvkc because usually that's usually the phones of the millennials back then in the early 2000s
For fellow europeans, there actually is a newer phone like this on the market. It's the Nokia 2720 flip and comes in a few colors :)
Oh! My first phone was a Nokia 2760, a small clamshell phone too. 2720 must be the new version!
So this phone wont work in Europe? Yk with the internet and all that?
internet (wi fi and 4g) works. it has youtube + some other preinstalled apps. also a browser but it's a bit primitive
@@copheemoth ah okay thank you, do you know if it has the play-store app?
I have it! It's not an android (KaiOS) so it has its own apps for things like UA-cam and twitter/facebook.
The very fun thing with the KaiOS is that instead of figuring out how to make apps work, they basically build a very good browser, and asked everyone to just make html-pages instead of an apps.
So apps there are like sites that are fully saved on your phone.
All the functions, that dont require connections, will work without one, and building your own apps for it was very easy, since writing sites is way easier then writing android/apple apps that require of your a lot of knowledge of an android/apple systems (and can quite working on you after android/Apple updates) (this moment is kinda fixed nowdays, after pwa implementation)
It's a shame that they restricted developer mode quite tightly in some of the OS updates.
Im kinda paranoid with my data leaking everywhere and don't enjoy the way that modern smartphones OS is forcing you to share a lot of data.
So this model is just the best for me.
I really hope that phones like this will stuck around
I always wondered if something like this existed. Unfortunately, they never released where I’m from but these seem great!
@@moonDa-eun but can it be used outside of Korea?:0
@@totallygre probably!
i keep coming back to thiss videos cuz i'm obsessed with the idea of getting a flip phone like this,. my first phone was a samsung galaxy ( i forget which version) but i grew up in the ipod touch, smart phone era. but i genuinely feel like I was smarter when I was a kid before I had these devices,. i need to get back to that version of myself where i'm not spending my life away on an electronic device
Let’s hope that if these stay “trending” (I don’t use tiktok lol idk if that’s an actual tag that an algorithm gives on there or just another slang term) then they can get released in the west bc these are adorable!! I bet a bunch of people would get them, and apple would either try to over modernize it after taking the idea or just not take it at all.
omg these r literally so cute! my fave type of phone frr
Great to see you are back and with such cute products!
I love this! It looks like a super cute phone but looks easier to use than the flip phones from back in the day lol. I like that it has a touchscreen! That's something that would've been super helpful on my old sliding keyboard phone from high school XD and I too love putting the stickers on something separate than the case so you can change it whenever you want! I usually cut mine out and just try to place them down and put the case on top as carefully as possible so not to move them too much lol. And unrelated but I have the same galaxy theme by soymilk!! I also totally remember the days of the launchers I had sooo many! I was impressed when I went back to android that they actually had a full theme shop now!
I feel the exact same way as you in the intro. There is no way I would actually daily drive one of these but just having one on my desk to play around with seems fun.
I like having a big screen because I use my smartphone a lot.
But damn, if that flip phone ain't the best combination of an actual keypad phone and a smartphone. The features, the light touch response, the yes call decline button, the shortcuts through navigation buttons and all that give me another kind of nostalgia.
I'm going back to give a little love to my spare keypad phone
She alive!!! Welcome back, Chonnie 🫡
Her voice is so calming but more importanly welcome back! and happy new year everyone!
I wonder why, but that is an aesthetic I saw sooo often when I was in Korea, the small bears, bunnies etc on phones and as just general accessoires
Everyone has a favorite phone from their youth lol. I love seeing this revival of old tech, for years it felt like so many people would get rid of perfectly working phones just to have what's new. It's nice to see the old stock get a second chance at life from people who appreciate it!
omy gooooood chonie i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee your vids this channel is my sacred place im so glad ur back
the phone is literally so cute!the phone after it was yassified was even better
Your video has answered my questions. Thank you very much for sharing this method that works for all platforms.
Que legal! Sou de 95 e aos 15 anos ganhei meu primeiro celular, era um V3! Era muito satisfatório terminar uma ligação e fechar o celular hahahah
Wow hahah this reminds of my teenage days of the lollipop phone, bought entirely because i was a bigbang fan 😂😂 this phone looks so cute!
I want this so baddddd but damn TikTok for getting it so expensive again!!!
I am so happy to see you back here on youtube!! Your tiktok was recommended to me and then I had to come here and say hi!
This reminds me of when the iphone first started becoming more mainstream, I temporarily bought regressed back to an Razor flip phone because I missed T9 texting and having phone charms (and overall aesthetic). These days I think everything I do, including my calendars, bank apps, world clocks, etc etc is too ingrained in my phone as a mini super computer for me to ever go back to anything less. I do like the social media-reducer part, we could all use more of that to be honest
This is sooo cute! I would've totally gotten it if I didn't get my z flip 3 last year. I honestly love flip phones and every since I've gotten my z flip 3, I feel like it's the phone that I've felt is really mine and caters to my taste. I don't think I could go back to the traditional flat iPhones or galaxies.
I feel you! I have the flip 4 and I would seriously consider the galaxy folder 2 as a secondary flip phone.
i have the flip 3 too! how is it holding up for u?
@1-800-multi it's good so far! Although the battery runs out faster than other phones 🥲 I don't really stay on my phone too much throughout the day so it doesn't bother me too much. Overall, I like it because apps respond quick and the camera is really good imo
@@lindy10 I agree! There are a lot of tips online to improve battery life and it helped me a lot
Hi! May I ask, does the screen crack in the middle on the newer z flips? Since the first z flip I loved how they look but I can't handle the screen cracking. Whenever I search this up there's completely different answers so I figured asking someone who actually owns one would be better lol ^^
i wish flip phones like these would have a comeback
i am obsessed with phones like these but it's impossible to find one that can be used with my mobile carrier😅
omg, these could be great to have as like an extra/emegency phone! and I think it's more of a justifiable purchase that way too, haha. lovely video chonnie, great to have you back :> ♥
yo, i was literally thinking without even actually thinking about holding the hang up button down and then you said turn it on with that button and my mind exploded. It's crazy how i had that muscle memory still even though it's been more than 15 years since ive had a flip phone.
This made me miss my old flip phone so much, I hope companies bring back flip phone with numpads like these. They don't make typing & keyboard dictionaries like they used to.
I'd love flip phone like this! I have a zflip and love it, but gotta say I'm more a fan of the early 2000's flip phone aesthetic.
This was so cool having real keyboard and touchscreen at the same time
amazing
Even can play spotify and using google playstore
OMG
I had one very similar back in the days, except with no internet and barely any storage in it 😂That being said, one of these would be great for my mom who refuses to get a smartphone because she hates touch screens, but I don't think they're sold in my country.
Your other newer Samsung flip phone you showed on the video looks great too, I love those, I see them in every kdrama that I watch.
Is that their crazy flip phone? AKA, the z flip??
I got my first ever phone in 2005 and it was a flip phone (Nokia 6101), so this was sooo nostalgic to watch... I hope this style of phones comes back in more affordable variations (samsung z flip is adorable but pricey $$$) since I love how you can type anything without looking at the keyboard and it's much easier to put it in the pocket. But it would need more memory, sadly 32GB is not enough for me :(
And 256GT is not enough for me.
I use my dad's flip phone from time to time, and yeah, I really like it. UA-cam works, social media works, and I've been thinking about switching to a flip phone. I think this just convinced me 😭
스티커 꾸민거 너무 귀엽고 이쁘당...💓
As a 93's kid is funny to see her struggling for just light up the phone x)
Aww I'm so happy to hear that you're a fan Totally Spies!!!!
I like the phone a lot! I subscribed since i love these kinds of unboxing and your voice too hahaha ❤❤❤
I d'ont care if pepeols say it's old it's small it's just cool and the aestetic💅🏻✨
It's so interesting to me that some people haven't fitnessed regular mobile phones. I still have muscle memory for the buttons because I texted so much around 2009-2012 TT
You know why I love your videos🤔,
❣️Short videos top notch.
🤍Overall quality of voice/voiceovers.
🖤Very aesthetically pleasing.
💚And great editing and contents.
The way you decorated is soooo cuteeeee❤
I used use dumbphone growing up is was my Godness favorite, I love small screen because it can fit in my pockets but these phones also helps you stay away from your screen more longer (the charging is slower than these present phones)
wow that's the kind of flip phone I needed and hoped for, not fold and square like one :( I hope they arrive one day here too
Me encantaría tener uno de esos también, se ve interesante. Es un smartphone mezclado con un celular clásico
this phone is actually so cool and exactly what i’m looking for!! the camera is decent IMHO. i don’t use social media apart from youtube. the only reason i don’t switch phones is because the music app i use is exclusively on IOS but otherwise i’d switch in a heartbeat!
I had the motorola razr v3 in green when I was in grade 3 that was one of my first phones to ever use and get. I was obsessed with it then in grad 5 is when I got my first touch screen it's crazy how different phones were back then to now.
Mine finally came in I’ve wanted this for years! I got it from eBay though. I’m gonna charge it up fully. I already have the accessories so once it charges up I’m gonna go full decor.
Was it good from ebay?😊

Flip phones are making a come back and I am soo here for it!! Just reminds me of my childhood, though funny enough I never had a flip phone I had a small Nokia.
I got the smasung z flip 4 rn, which of course isn't as old school as this one but I'm here for it either way hahaha
Loved this video! And the end about forgetting your tik tok password was so cute!
I used to have one and it was so cool! I actually used the touch screen more than the keypad though but it was so cute!
I never knew anyone was still making phones like this! I wonder, how long does the battery last for you? I looked up the specs and it seemed atrociously small, but maybe it all balances out with different processor and software?
The novelty and aesthetic of having a flip phone is there but God damn I don't think I'd actually be able to do it 😭 I don't miss taking 10 minutes to send out a text at all
it has a touchscreen
@@MattsFans a tiny one
There's this kind of charm with flip phones that touch phones cannot replace
I love that the screen is still a touch
crazy that theres people that exist that dont even know that flip phones existed 🙃
Fr lol I'm 13 now born in 2010 and I can still remember having a phone like this lol
honestly beside it being a cute side-phone, i could really see myself use this as an MP3 LMAO!
i grew up with phone and music player being two separate devices and since this flip phone runs spotify/youtube, is compact but probably not a replacement for our regular phone-usage, i would absolutely use it as a MP3 like back then with iPods ♥
Ikrrr!!!
I'm really tempted on getting something like this. Is the perfect mix of a phone that allows me to use apps like spotify and google maps while still disencouraging me to use social media because it would be too much work to use it in that device.
This is so gorgeous!
It's too cute! I would like to know where I can buy the case and the flip phone T T
i thought i was the only one w/o and iPhone 😭
IT'S SO CUTE!!!
Omggggg, first time saw this flip phones at junior highschool and now phone is viral. My childdream's rise up again
Wait? “You can use social media” …..”it’s great if you want to disconnect from social media” ….. “the biggest disappointment is that it doesn’t works well with social media” ???? 😭
It reminds me of the phones sold for elderly people (which might explain the simple software and low storage). I think it is awesome.
They can still use it as a common phone with big numbers, and also have WhatsApp and other Apps to keep in touch with loved ones.
Omg im so happy youre back
PLEASE I NEED IT AGH GOD I WAS HOPING THEYD MAKE ONE STYLED AFTER THE OLD FLIPSSS
my first flip phone was a nokia. you know when you answer and then flip it open, i feel like a different person on an important phone call 😂
Omg the flip phones and old phones are really a thing in East Asia, China rn has these touchscreen phones called Qin Ai and they're so cute sjdjdj - I feel like the novelty would wear off since you can't type as fast, but theyre so nostalgic omg
Would defo buy this for taking pics. The quality looks good😊
oh my god as a korean this is soooo nostalgic i remember i used to use this like exactly 12 years ago😭😭😭 not only the time but also i just miss the phone during that period these days phones are too heavy for me and i dont like the design either😢 anyway loved ur video and aesthetics!!
The best part about flip phones, or at least the one I had, were the strap charms 💖 You could strap as many as you wanted lol
All models can be extended with a memory card so buying a 16GB is okay cause you can expand to 128GB, which is what I did.
I was a teen to young adult in the 2000s and I mostly had Sony Ericsson with T9 keypads and never had a flip phone but my dad had many so I occasionally used his. I moved on to the blackberry and eventually android. If this phone was available in the west I would totally use it, I still kept almost all my old phones as well cause I'm a lover of old tech.
I picked up this phone on ebay and I adore it after obsessing over Japanese keitai flip phones for years, even getting into cellphone novels (RIP TextNovel) but bummed out they wouldn't work in the west but I discovered this phone and the LG wine and was deciding if to buy it but suddenly the price shot up. I discovered it was a trend amongst Gen Z so I bit the bullet and bought it before the price got too insane, it reminds me my old Samsung Galaxy S3. The removable battery, radio app etc. It really does bring back such memories. Makes me happy.
I contemplated on this last week, and a few Japanese brands too. But in the end, I strangely decided on the very retro, very hard to find Ericsson R310 (known as ericsson shark on its heyday).
Idk why honestly. I had been eyeing flip phones for the longest time but something always held me back from purchasing one. But for that legendary vintage piece, I bought it very expensive online (wayy more expensive than these flip phones) and instantly felt right, it's the secondary backup I would trust as reliable. Even if it can only do basic calls and texts. This older phones got the strongest signal while modern phones fails, have this untraceable property for some, water resistant and anti break, and is beloved of those outdoor lovers and adventurers in its heyday. Got it in green/tosca, in a VERY hard to find mode. I'm very pleased about it.
Now, I just watch flip phone videos to entertain myself but I don't want it anymore 😅😊✋. If I want my latest technology, I'll just use my regular smartphone(s). But if I want to dream up outdoor adventures, then I have my vintage piece. Maybe I'll collect some more retro phones, dream up of starting a business with the olden days' old ways (backed up with the smartphone, of course), and watch it become reality coz I love role playing. I might take that R130 to travel to Egypt also. Gotta test the signal strength in the middle of the dessert, up on a camel's back 💚.
Flip phones make me dream too. But about Japanese doramas. And it gets pretty boring. I studied in Tokyo and absolutely hated it, very depressing. And these phones reminded me of my days there.
Just sharing, cheers.
Edit: It used to be cool when I wasn't around in this world. But now it's called garakeis or garaho, short for galapagos phones, easy phone or dumb phone. And those who uses it was because the plan for smartphones is expensive (in Japan). And because of this, it just hits different rather than if I were to use it on its golden days. That's why I opted not to use it.
AAAA the feature phone teasing continuessss!
I really want the red one ugh
I know I wouldn’t be using it as an actual phone, but I need to feed my nostalgia 😭😭😭
Oooh interesting! I thought about getting a flip phone because social media is slowly devouring my life. But I don't want to miss Discord (I have lots of friends there). How well does Discord work on this phone? It's so cute 👀
I remember these kind of phones. I was born in 1993, so i knew them and used them, even though it was a little time.
I really hope flip phone makes a comeback. Its such a vibe...
Oh my god I'm such a 2000s lover and this is just perfect I want it so bad but I live in the UK
It looks a lot like the LG Ice Cream. I had that back in 2010 before finally getting an iPhone. I still have it in a box somewhere lol
I still have mine. I bought the baby blue color back in 2011. I swear I loved that thing so much and I still keep it on my desk just to look at. To me, it’s one of the prettiest phones ever made. Tbh i wish they did a 2023 remake because I’d buy it so fast.
Is it possible if you can ship it to me , in need of a aesthetic phone
I've been using this for 2 years even before tiktok, I don't have tiktok and didn't know it was trending there .I have no case or headphones. Bought it for 5k second hand the wine red version. And I even chipped it during a roller skating event You can definitely use the keypad for messenger or kakaotalk you just have to double press it down and when you see the blue bar you can start to type.

ITS SO CUTE! I WANT ONE!
While the most of my classmates already had smartphones, I kept the mobile phone until 2016-17 when I was 14-15 and I understood things were hard to manage without it. I had changed many phones, from usual, to flip phone, I even had one phone with a small joystick.
ahhh thank you for this! ^^ Glad i'm not a weirdo for using a flip phone in this year and age lol. your phone makes me wanna sell mine so i can unscratch the edges and have it perfectly shiny again (TOT)
not sure how bad it is but there area products for fixing scratches in plastic. you might have to look into products that are meant for automotive purposes but there's usually stuff for interiors and such that can fix/fill scratches on rubber. it never looks perfect perfect but it does freshen the look
OH THAT IS SOOOO CUTE!! I want it!
OMG! It's so cute! I've been wanting to have a phone like this. I wish they also sell it here 🥺
