My dad passed away 11 months ago in cancer. When I was a kid we used to talk about traveling together. Just me and him. But I grew up and we never did. All my life I have been disappointed that he never made any real time for me. But then he made a promise. Actually we promised eachother. As soon as we both had the time we were going to Canada. Climb mountains together. Canoeing rivers in the forest.
But he got sick. The cancer in the spinal cord made his legs paralyzed and he had to use a wheelchair. The future was very uncertain. We didnt know if he was going to live or die. But my dad knew. He was going to live. He looked at me from his wheelchair, promised that he was going to get through it and as soon as he got better we were going to do it. Have an adventure together. I jokingly said that he wouldn't need his legs for canoeing rivers. We shook hands on it. The time before his death was the most horrible. As he got worse I couldn't bring myself to bring it up with him again. And then he died.
Ever since that moment I have had this almost unstoppable longing for escape. Thinking a lot about the future. To flee into the unknown. I think about it every day. I have bought a motorcycle capable of traveling the world. Soon I have a drivers license, and Im about to make the journey of my life.
I painted this piece about 2 months ago. I painted myself holding the hand of my future son and our favourite pet dog. Escaping together. At least thats what I thought it was. It wasnt until far later when I looked at it again and everything became clear to me... What really made me paint it in the first place.
The tall guy is my dad. The little boy is me following him, as he makes his journey to the afterlife. Into death. Finally having that adventure we promised eachother. The dog is just a happy spirit, telling us that everything will be OK.

I would visit him everyday. So i would know, just keep moving forward and we'll make it there someday. We all will :D

My father Died 2 years ago, when i was 12. You made me think about him and about the fun times we had together. Now that i was sitting and thinking about him, i realized that all he tought me when i was a small kid actually came into effect, without me realizing it.
For example he encouraged me to learn English (the english in schools here is terrible). he made me learn how to play guitar, how to ride a bike, how to craft and paint. and all this only happened after his death, without me realizing it was all thanks to him.
All this came into my mind after a read your message and it got me thinking about him alot. Thank you, and the image you plaited is amazing.

I lost my beloved father April 27, 2022.
I had listened this playthrough a few months ago attracted by the name "Heaven" and the image.
At the time I hoped he would, by some miracle, beat the disease.
I saw this image and Heaven again in my recommendations. April 29, 2022.
I can picture my father running free of cancer with his puppy I named Summer somewhere they have escaped pain.
I am not there with them and I am an adult woman, nothing like the boy holding his hand.
Still I see my Dad and his puppy (all his dogs and horses and my kitties) I hope they are there for my Mother, my brother and me when it's our time.
I love you Dad.
I don't know how to live after you are not part of our lives anymore.
Forgive me for using your video to pour out my grief.
I came to this video in the past and prayed that this day would not happen so soon; now I am here to hope that Heaven is a place where my Dad exists now.
I'm quite sad that's over, that was a wonderful two and a half hours and I couldn't have been insomnia-ing with a more pleasant soundtrack.

That ending seriously though... after that 2.5 hour journey we just had, all those memories, thoughts, emotion flowing through. And the ending makes you feel like something is over but yet something is beginning... so you kinda just take a look back one last time, not wanting it to end but you know it will so you just enjoy it as much as possible.
I keep finding myself listening to this mix over and over again...ITS ADDICTING!!

This mix is really helping me reach my inner heaven.
Today I learnt a new term, "Chillstep". And it was good.
So I'm 18 now, I've moved out, my dog has gotten pretty old and my dad isn't as agile as he used to be. The thumbnail hits deep at memories from a different time, I'm kinda of sad with nostalgia but at the same time the feeling is bittersweet. One day they'll both pass on, but such is life. All I know is that I can say for certain that when my time comes, I'll be reunited with my family; happy as can be like in the thumbnail.
Life is pretty ironic when you think about it, we all want to be closest to our most treasured moments, but time always goes against us; alienating us from the axioms of our happiness.
Call me young and naive, but its my inexperience that allows for this glimpse into the perspective of a youth.
