The right system implements parts of both. Pure capitalism or pure socialism is not the right way to go imo
I agree, capitalism has great advantages but it is just not right to have the levels of inequality that we see today...
If you let a system go for far too long it will collapse in on itself
@BernieEinreb371 But the problem is, some people are lazy to make money even if making it is easy. That is how capitalism fails. Human laziness.
@MR. Poo Head you have no idea how much i agree
@BernieAwesome but... but i thought it was socialist countries were laziness was an issue? isnt that what you guys have been saying for basically all time?
The thing in starting their own business, like the bakery, what stops the Big Bread company from buying it out or pricing so little to run the bakery out of business
yep it happens if you offer the exact same product like the bigger company. they always have advantage because they buy more inventory from suppliers as well getting cheaper prices. smaller companies have to do something differently and find their niche usually that bigger company might not do (like produce a bread thats different in some way from generic bread). if a very big company already exists that produces what ever product you want to produce, its probably not worth starting a business producing that same thing unless there is still a massive need for that thing
Hipsters exists
The more capital you have, the more you do, simple. Markets don't regulate themselves and that's a fact.
Sadly, nothing stops these big companies from doing what you're explaining, it's happening all the time...
A company that buy others Is al most in all cases, lossing money. Only if the bussines of that company Is to Buy others or if the company buying Is in the field of the buyer, becouse the Buy has to happen with a primiun. And to Sell low Is a fast Road to broke. Yes you hurt the rival company, shotting yourselft in the foot. And when the rivaly company broke, what aré you Gonna do?, if another borns, and another?. Only with the help of gov aka More socialism the full monopoly can exist.
After what point is it worth buying the competition instead of competing
Only problem with socialism is you run out of other people’s stuff
Only problem with capitalism is other people run out of their lives for rich people's greed
Nope try again communist.
Also if you want to “own” production then invest your own money into a company then come talk see how easy it is.
I wanna know who does more
The owner who:
Comes up with the idea, makes the product or service, makes sure the business is in compliance with regulations, hired legal professionals to make sure legal paper work was in order, established the corporation, then if all that went well took on massive financial risk via using his own money, bank loan or worse an investors money. Then got a patent, trademark and or copywriter information done along with the companies branding.
Or
The worker:
The guy who the owner hired and paid to help scale his product or service
@@stayswervin554 Are you alright?
None of these apply to owners of a business, your listing the potential responsibilities of an entrepreneur, half of which involve already having a lot of money and the other half rely on using the other half to pay other people to do the work for you.

Capitalism is of course theft because capitalists do not really pay for what they take. Capitalism is an economic system profoundly at odds with a sustainable planet. The exploitation of nature is as fundamental to the profit system as the exploitation of working people. The capitalist economic notion is that the air, rivers, seas and soil can be treated as a "free gift of nature" to business. No. That is why the capitalists are carelessly polluting the rivers, the air, over-fishing the lakes and oceans, and destroying the soil with chemicals, etc., etc. So this is all criminal theft and future generations have to pay for all this damage.
When low end wages jobs are automated and done by robots and everyone learns new skills and are on the same level. Then what? Won't some people still be extremely wealthy?
@@ashleypugh9032 Right, this is what politicians repeat again and again, "the working class is not properly educated, there are millions of vacant positions but the majority of people lack education". No. When all 157 million American workers would have an up-to-date university degree there would be no change. What would happen is that job-centers are exposed to lying: There are not so many well-paid jobs for so many people. The exact same amount of people would end up on the poverty line. This time jobless academics. And yes, the rich always get richer no matter what.
@@ashleypugh9032 everybody will be on welfare...
@@lenny108 you are wrong, those high end jobs that are vacant and pay a lot are not easy to do. most people don't want to do them. its very stressful and you have to work very hard and study a lot. even if you give people opportunity to go to any school they want, they still wouldn't do it. Because they like free time and stress free life. there aren't a lot of 20 year olds who want go to college, read a lot of medicine books, work in some hospital for multiple years dealing with patients to become a good doctor one day for no reason. unless they are extremely interested in it or they want to get paid a lot (which already happens but there still isn't enough doctors so even money doesn't motivate people enough)

Capitalists are paid more for their exposure to risk.
Wealth inequality is a sign of prosperity and not an inherently bad thing; if someone earns enough to ensure the security of their following generation, that’s great, and shouldn’t be demonized. What matters more is the baseline for society, some coverage for the most vulnerable.
Socialists don’t care about the poor, they hate the rich. Everyone is looking out for themselves, capitalists want to create something that will benefit them which in the capitalist model is creating something that others need or want. Socialist want others to take care of them.
so it's not a bad thing that hundreds of millions of people are barely not starving to deeth?
socialism benefits society for free education and some other benefits for everyone. "capitalism creates innovation" that's only 10% true cause most of technological innovations were made by the military😂
also correction on that "socialist don't care about the poor"
capitalists dont care for the poor and only seek to exploit every single penny from the poor.
Can low waged jobs hurry and be automated and be worked by robots. Everyone learn new skills and then what will we have? Or what can we rely on when others are still extremely wealthy?
its not just about learning the skills, you have to actually want to do that work also. nothing stops you from quitting your low wage job and become like a programmer and make a lot of money. you can learn that stuff from online, dont even need a school. but the question is do you even want to be a programmer? Would you be willing to give some pros and cons. I see so much online trying to research this topic that the only real way I'll get any true answers is from someone who is living in a socialist government. Is corruption still a big thing like it is in America? What about health and homelessness? Is there a way, do you think, that there could be a country with both socialism and capitalist economics? We have something like the last in the us but we are mostly capitalist.
@@q.t.gamingfamily I am from India. Ours was a socialist planned economy until 1991(It still is to a very high degree). Out of desperation, the Central(Federal) Government decided to free the economy. Until that point we had this red tape policy called Sarkar Raj. When we got independence from the British the power was handed down to a few socialists whom immediately nationalized all big companies. For example, Tata Airlines became Air India and a few Rail companies became Indian Railways etc.
The only way to start a company was by bribing someone on the government. Corruption in the government and the bureaucracy is very high even to this date. There are too many government organizations and officials that poke their nose at everything. Including personal life!(I do not know to this day why are there so many government organizations) There's no freedom of speech even though it is on our constitution!
Let's talk about health and homeless. India has centralized health care by all state governments. And it sucks! If you are in a government hospital and wants to get treated you'd end up bribing the doctor there. I do not wish anyone to go to a government hospital in India. Thankfully we also have a private sector!
Millions of people were lifted out of poverty after the liberalization of economy.
India was one of the richest places on earth before colonization and after the world wars it became the poster boy of poverty. And socialism helped sustain poverty for so long!

Good education does not always equate to a better future. Owning a business will
Millions of businesses are going under right now. Better to learn a skilled trade.
true, but owning a business doesn't either. everything is a risk and depends how much effort you put into usually dictates how rich you get (or u just happen to get lucky). Anyone who says capitalism doesn't work and watches youtube is a little uneducated if you think about it. Anyone who listens to music and supports a certain artist is supporting capitalsim and that artist cannot support socialism because they are using capitalism to its full extent. Capitalism allows for a better economy because poverty lines in America are about middle class in some socialist countries. The economy cannot be sustainable if you give free education and healthcare to everyone because then people would be paying for someone elses education and the person with the most expensive education benefits from it but the person with the cheapest education pays for it. There would be a terrible economy under socialism due to high taxes and no competition between companies. Production would be low quality but high quantity and everyone would be equally poor. It would be impossible for people to have a lot of money or a livable wage because they would have to be paid the same. Not everyone can be rich and you have to have classes to have a stable society. I hope we can all agree the Nazis Soviets Chinese and Cubans were wrong. Im talking about their governments not the actual ppl to avoid ppl calling me rascist.

@@moefriends1093 in a capitalist society, charity is not encouraged. those living in it who want to give people a better life do. democractic socialism is a far better way to improve the living conditions and equality in a society.
@@eugenelubbock5478 capatalism doesnt encourage charity but socialism discourages people from donating and name me 1 good democratic socalist country that hasn't failed
@@moefriends1093 why should people have to donate to have lifesaving surgery given to another person? its disgusting. if the state is worth anything, it should be situations like this that it acts on and introduces universal healthcare to all countries. and norway, denmark, and finland are good examples. not socialist, but social democratic.
This is not a good explanation. Far to simplistic in one regard as it pertains to the main difference of each system and unconsciously biased. Or maybe consciously biased and trying to seem fair. Either way a poor explanation of the two systems. For a simple analogy, capitalism bakes more pies and everyone takes proportionally what they have earned, while socialism distributes the pies that currently exist without making more until there are no more pies.
lol, sure this explains a lot.
One side effect of BITCOIN, a.k.a. the transition to non-fiat money systems, will be that Socialism will thrive in that scenario. People will be able to work and save all the potential energy of their labor and not worry that it will deflate or be lost over time. If you like Socialism, then buy Bitcoin. Also, if you don't like Socialism, buy Bitcoin. It's good either way.
i don't like socialism
@@crypticfyre9885 then buy Bitcoin🙄
Aged well. Glad I never took this stupid advice
I just accidentally found this site. You forgot to mention socialism usually comes at the end of a gun
If teacher is capitalist he and she cant explain socialism
You should rename this to "capitalism - those who want to destroy the earth vs Socialism - those who want to preserve it"
This is bad.
Topic A. Socialism has never worked. I mean venezuela used to be more socialist and it was a worse country.
America becoming more socialist is bad. Why? Because let's try a system that has literally never worked ever long term on argueably the strongest country in the world. Which would obviously magically work this time and would be no problems. Unless there were problems and we ironically self create one of the largest power vacuums the world has ever seen. But obviously all are neiboring countries are good friends and wouldn't hurt us. That's why a power vacuum doesn't matter.
There was a point in your life where you couldn't walk; did you stop trying? Walking had never worked for you before, so I'm assuming you just gave up.
And yes, we should totally just continue to allow all the wealth in the nation to slowly trickle up so the rich get richer, and the middle class to sink into poverty. Good point.
@@robertvaughan1147 but you know that if there was socialism in the US, the middle-class wouldn't stop being more and more poor? Socialism is absolutely good for the leaders and people who have the power, for example Russian oligarchs who were basically the only people who didn't want (and don't want) the end of socialism.
@@robertvaughan1147 yeah lets try destroying a couple nations with socialism.
whats the worst that could happen?
nuclear war probably
@@robertvaughan1147 you do know why the rich are there because they started off being poor worked for several years dedicated their life to their work sacrifice gone into debts I will be where they are I think they deserve to be rich for the amount of effort they put in. If you don't want the rich to be richer then don't use their products
@Ramen Lover when u think of socialism you probably think high taxes/dictatorship/lost of some freedom (for the better of humanity)they will say. no one is stopping people living like the Amish while socialism forces people to give up some kinda of freedom.
The main difference is that capitalism works and socialism don't.
Exactly .. failure after failure that it surprises me how some people are still debating about the matter

People are poor because they don't find a way to be rich, while there are tons of rich people who start from nothing. The poor are still poor due to the lack of financial education and desire to be rich. As simple as that.
