That was a wonderful visit Rob! Many thanks to you and Bob for the visit to such a wonderful layout. That is such a great tribute to Bob's dad's hard work with the railroad! Cheers, Dan
Superb layout. I dabbled in buying US O gauge stuff on ebay a few years back, but soon realised there was no way I would have the room for it. I still have a soft spot for it though
Dennis Baran You sir are a master craftsman. This is the best layout I have ever seen! There is something magical about 3 rail trains that I grew up with and you took me back there.
I have visited many O Gauge layouts and this is one of the finest. It features continuous operation and realistic operational design, which is hard to do in this scale due to space limitations. Great attention to detail coupled with track and switches from Gargraves and Ross and the DCS system is a recipe for years of trouble free train operation fun! Thanks for sharing, it is inspiring to us O Gaugers!!
Excellent execution of O Scale Hi - Rail operations and detail. Single-handedly you''re keeping MTH, GarGraves, Z-Stuff for trains, Woodland Scenics, and Ross Custom Switches in Business. Just keeping all the track clean is a full time job. Enjoy retirement!
Impressive and huge 3 rail layout! One of the nicest 3 rails layouts I have seen on video. Kudos to you Stephen for filming a nice long and a detailed look into this layout. Many videos are 5-10 minutes long this video I didn’t get tired watching even at its hour length.
Lovely video....even if I am not found of the Lionel style O gage, a bit too cramped in my taste and all the extra visible electricals!....Great craftsmanship by your host! Well done!
I was kind of surprised when I saw the title, but it was an awesome one to say the least. It’s nice to see some variety with the different scales/gauges. Thanks for sharing. It’s nice to see Pennsy stuff when I model more Southern US railroads.
This is a beautiful layout. I a recently inherited my older brother's Lionel Trains. He got me off to a great start with 18 engines, 3 being Steam Locomotive. The layout that I am working on will be based on the Ethanol Plant I work at and my home town. I have a lot of work ahead of me. But layouts like yours have given me ideas on the design of my layout.
Incredible! I spotted the “Reddy Kilowatt” character. I haven’t seen one at least since the early 60s. Congratulations for all the dedication and hard work.
That's impressive. The thing with O-scale is that it's so big, you really need a lot of space to do what you want. On the other hand, you can get into a lot more intricate details that are near impossible to do in HO. My HO-scale layout is in a 12-by-40-foot room that was built with the layout in mind, and the thought of trying to squeeze an O-scale layout into that space makes me nervous.
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else trying to find out building a model railroad try Stiklind Model Train Fixer (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my partner got great success with it.
The switches I agree but I disagree on three rail statement as a three rail system is efficient and looks very good and realistic as the black color of the center rail makes it stand out less but that is just my opinion and you are entitled to your own opinion
Just incredible!! and just when I was starting to get comfortable with the look and feeling of my layout. :)
I still say this is one of the best big layouts I have seen......superb
Beautiful layout. I can only hope mine turns out half as nice. Stunning
This is what I call a Master piece
Beautiful layout

Indeed it was, and Bob is an awesome host. What a cool layout!

Beautiful layout Bob...Thank You for Letting us see it, And Thank You Rob for bringing it to us
It was my pleasure Tom- layouts this good need to be seen and appreciated!
Hey Rob is that the GE plant you work at?
I used to work at GETS in Erie, but then moved to GE Power. And now work for ABB, as our division of GE Power (Industrial Solutions) was sold to ABB.

Wonderful they started with the schematic first then history. Well done videography! Watch out for the breathing! EXCELLENT!

Fantastic layout Bob with amazing detail. Well done!
I think O gauge is the king of model railroading!

WOW THIS A GREAT WORKING LAYOUT !!! WISH I HAD THE ROOM 👍👍👍

For O guage,...one of the best I've ever seen !
Fantastic layout. 1957 I had two state of Maine box cars. Layout took up my bedroom.

Wow! Awesome 3 rail layout!
The thumbnail photo of the E6s Atlantic is enough to lure me in

Finally a O gauge layout!Now we're talking.
LOL, yes it is something to see these rather massive trains!
Great layout!!! Beautiful shot at 31:48.
Very, very nice.
Even giving me some ideas for a future layout.

Very nice: • Cheers from The Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂

Excellence!!
A trie 3 rail master piece.has this lsoyoutbbeen in any of the model railroading magazines? A great video! Thanks!
Nice railroad.🚂🚞🚞🚞🚞🚞🚞
Very nice!
Nice layout I have a question how did you do the pipes for the chemical plant and the tanks are they all kits ?
Nice layout. If it were mine I'd use scale size trees, paint the rails, and weather everything.
Wow!
How do you keep it looking dust free
You should check out the Snowhill Model Railroad Club in Pocomoke Maryland. It's a O scale PRR Layout
GE plant has Westinghouse transformer on car in front of it.... lol
For a steam-era layout, it is rare to see one NS ES44AC 8102 on it
That’s awesome, but all that Pa detail and not one GG1:( wrong place in time maybe??
Linda
For the price Menards buildings are very reasonably priced as opposed to the hobby builders
Fantastic layout other than the trackage I find the third centre rail and the switches look very toy like.
The switches I agree but I disagree on three rail statement as a three rail system is efficient and looks very good and realistic as the black color of the center rail makes it stand out less but that is just my opinion and you are entitled to your own opinion
My freand Richard frantz would be proud of u, he runs ho scale u ask him about any steam engine he tell u
Lot of money involved in this affair....
