Considering the Ancient One has died and that was a plot point in Shuma Gorath coming back, I'd say it's a high possibility. It would also serve to showcase something vastly more horrifyingly dangerous than Dormamu.
Here's a bit of useless trivia: Did you guys know that Shuma's first color palette in Marvel Superheroes was actually an Error? Shuma's original color is not Pink with a green iris, but the opposite... He's Green with a pink iris. This was later fixed in MVC2 :)

In this history wise: Tony knew Thanos Would come for the Gems, then he in a space station he tries with some gems create a weapon capable of killing thanos but he summoned Shuma, Shuma avatar, Shuma defeated Tony, but before Tony send some gems to Avengers, so Shura goes and defeat and pick the gens of 2 avengers, then Mephisto and Black heart tries to steal he´s gems , beatwen that Dr Doom feel it( beacause he can sense magic ), so with that Dr Doom designed a trap for Shura using Hulk, after the Black Heart defeat, he come to Hulk in New York abandoned park, Hulk with a Gem of Tony destroed Half of the city in the battle, but the plan of Doom isnt compleat, só he enchants Steve Rogers with magic so he can buy some time( for Rogers, he is trying to revenge half of New York ), when Rpgers loses, Shura is teleported with magic to a Spaceship going to Titan, Dr Doom knew he would lose, so if the gems are going to someone evil, Thanos would Kill only 1/2 of the population, when Doom dies, the Spaceship hits Titan and The Mad Titan uses the manopla to recover the gems, the battle for the gems start, but then, Shura defeat, because he is not from this universe, so the gems wasnt so powerfull against him

Evidently his throws replenish health which is unheard of in the game. Gorath also has excellent anti-air super rush. Just nasty all over.
