Love that post-reaction conversation from you both. Loki being the stepping stone for other's greatness definitely is a shot to the ego. Time for this Loki to carve his own path to greatness......hopefully. Definitely got some Mass Effect Citadel vibes as well.

"Pruning" is the act of cutting away the undesirable bits of a decorative plant or tree. It's what makes a bonsai tree what it is... In the show's parlance, it means to eliminate the branch of time which is found to be anomalous or, more specifically, that which caused the anomaly.
I'm really enjoying your channel. Sonny is a great master-of-ceremonies in that he sets up the episodes very well, drives the conversations and keeps things moving. Kat is very insightful and I have revisited quite a few episodes of some of my favorite shows after listening to her comments and have found new joy in seeing them through her eyes. Please keep up the good work!
Love how they set up that there are way bigger things out there with just the one scene with Loki and Casey and the infinity stones. Also wonder if this indirectly sets up the way for Kang in Antman.
First of all: Kat, your hair looks fabulous! So great! The Multiverse of Madness could not be on better hands with Michael Waldron. This was a great start to the show. The writing, directing, the melancholic score and Tom's acting is just *chef's kiss.* Great reaction!
To prune is a weird verb in English because the most common use of the word is the noun “prune” which is like a fruit. The only time I hear the word prune as a verb is for gardening such as “pruning the hedges”. It means to, like, cut in way to fit something. To fit a shape or in this instance, to fit the time line
Yeah, I definitely think they're going with the idea that the timeline has branches, but since there's only supposed to be the one Sacred Timeline, any other branches need to be pruned.
Hi 👋🏻 from Canada 🇨🇦 So happy to have discovered you guys & Major Dad 🥰 Kat you are rocking that hair! There never has been & never will be ANY other LOKI but Tom Hiddleston’s Loki 🤩
I’m with Sonny, I think the Loki fugitive variant is another actor, probably (hopefully) Lady Loki. I also think! That the kid in the church was that or a different Loki variant who had shape-shifted and was messing with Mobius. So he would have brought that gun with him, as opposed to being gifted it. I’m going to be on the lookout for that gum going to Someone in future episodes....
well... I watched the episode in English with Spanish Subtitles and the translation of the "Variant" was refered by Mobius as a SHE "A Fugitive Variant" = Una variante fugitiva (spanish Translation) - Una (She) - Un (He)
For sure- I think it’s Lady Loki. But Loki can shape shift into any being. So if the variant is Lady Loki, “she” would have been correct. Even if Loki shifted into a little girl, they might have used that variant.
I love how by the end of this episode, the phrase "burdened with glorious purpose" takes on a whole new meaning. It really *is* a burden for him. He feels like he needs to constantly keep up that illusion, as he called it, of being destined for glory, all the time, to cover up his insecurities. Must be exhausting.
Long time since a Sonny & Kat review for me as I’ve become accustomed to Major Dad for Falcon and Bad Batch. Nice to see you guys again. Really love this show so far. It’s going to be an intense mind trip!

In the comics, the Asgardians aren't true gods, but aliens that were believed to be gods when they visited Earth long ago. They faded into myth when they stopped traveling to Earth. 06:50. Talking about a "Nexus event". I just realised one of the commercials in WandaVision is for an antidepressant called Nexus. Having checked it out, that commercial talks a lot about reality, including "anchoring you in your reality, or the reality of your choice". Coincidence? Please.
In the comics, it's established that the Infinity Gems/Stones only work in their own universe(s); they're powerless anywhere outside it. If those stones came from universes/timelines that were erased, then paperweights would be about all they're good for now.
I have been waiting for this reaction the most because I want to see how actual Scandinavians react to Loki and the MCU version of Norse Mythology. Personally I wish that the MCU would’ve stayed closer to the source material because in both the comics and actual mythology Loki has 3 children of massive significance. Hela was not his sister she was his daughter, Jörmungandr the world serpent was his and Angrboda’s son, and his son Fenrir the wolf (who is Hela’s pet in Ragnarok) is actually the one who kills Odin. Also I hope Disney sells the Infinity Paperweights someday.
It would take too much time explaining all that and Hela is the only one who was going to be important so they just merged her with Angela and made her Odin’s child.
I think LOKI now has to help the TVA to make sure that he does not do useless gesture to become someone he was not meant to be. This is touching moment for LOKI to realize that.
Remember in WandaVision, the commercial about the "Nexus" anti-depressant? You might want to watch that, again. :) Also, this takes place *years* before the events of WandaVision. Others already covered the verb, "to prune." I also think Agent Mobius wanted to see if Loki could bring himself to break through his own profound self-deception, and acknowledge the deep flaws that drove him to make such terrible decisions. A Loki unable to acknowledge those flaws just needed to be destroyed; you can't work with someone like that. That said, Loki remains Loki, and your insight into his motivations are pretty good. :) This will be a fun series, I think.
I have a feeling that while they will find a number of Loki variants, it is really a Mobius variant they are hunting, one who as Miss Minutes says maybe started an uprising.

Maybe as a bit of information on why the infinity stones don't work at the TVA: The stones only work in their respective universes.
