- Replacing the cross fader in a Pioneer XDJ-R1 is a fairly simple process you just have to be careful and take your time. There is no soldering required .

Fantastic. My channel 1 fader is acting weird, cutting the volume at strange times when pushed up.
I saw a nother video where a guy basically dismantled the entire unit to get to it. I had a strong feeling that wasn't necessary. Now I know for sure. Thanks for posting!

Sorry For the late reply as the buttons are I assume are soldered in place this would not be an easy fix. Did you get your XDJ repaired?

Sorry I did not see your request for help till today. I hope you sorted out your power button problem I’m not sure I could have helped in truth.
I have used my XDJ-R1 at hundreds if not thousands of gigs. I have mainly used the USB with an ipad.
I having been waiting for Pioneer to produce an all in one unit with a touch screen and internal ssd/ plus USB but as you may know so far they have not made decks like that.
I have now bought the Denon Prime Go the computer software is not as good as Rekordbox box. Sorry for the overly long reply
