I treat the tile like a regular garage floor. I have dont oil changes and all. I really need to get my shit in gear and just do a proper video about this rather than a short. But yea. I have not "washed" the floor in 8 years now. it's due at this point. no regrets other then the amount of work it takes to put down. Cheers!

@@BonBon770 Nothing was done to the subfloor just a thorough cleaning. I used a very narrow toothed trowel but it basically turned into a flat trowel to get as much coverage as possible to avoid potential bubbles. it was a lot of work but the key was to not leave any bubbles under the tile. The floor is 8 years old at this point. I drive on it spill things on it. drop heavy things on it. no issues.
How much was the material? Tile etc?
*That looks really good for seven years. I would like to do this in my garage. I wonder how if it would stain from oil. I change alot of oil.*

@@SebastianBalos Oh really . Thats great . i think i may price out the materials for mine . Im sure i can get some friends to help me out .
That is a very lightly used garage. If you are a car guy meaning you do your own work this is a nightmare waiting to happen.
I think it would’ve looked much better with grey grout, nice job though👍🏾
Would it be safe to put your car on jack stands on the tile or use a floor jack?
The floor gets used as it would normally. Jack stands and all. You would be fine
What sealer did you use?
Sorry, It was 8 years ago and i cant remember at this point. There are a lot of options out there. It was from Home depot.
@@SebastianBalos Okay. Thanks!
What did u used under the garahe door?

It’s been good for 7 years. As long as all you do is park cars in there carefully. C’mon man.
This floor is a shitshow.. follow and ill eventually do a vid on it.. hammers, oil changes all day long.. dont give a F.... Cheers...!
Did you put a crack suppression underneath it?
Nothing, just thinset. The key to was to make sure that you have 100 thinset coverage. As in 0 air bubbles between tile and subfloor.
@SebastianBalos okay, so you did not key in the substrate? Or directional trowel, Or flat trowel all the back of every tile?

@SebastianBalos that's awesome!, I'm a tile guy, sounds like you did a better tile job than most Tile Guys👍👍
Just epoxy it. Most garages are gonna crack
I mean, he said it has been seven years.
Residential epoxy typically lasts 10 years and this tile still looks awesome.
Smoke crack everyday
We don’t like epoxy at all!
@@blanchardbien-aime9649 why?
7 yrs??? I dont see how that grout isnt dirty. White grout inside a home gets dirty! Smells fishy!
its been 8 years. Grout was sealed. its also never been washed. grout in homes is never sealed and get dirty largely from mopping crap into it.
Drop a sledgehammer and that ship gonna crack, not just chip like concrete or epoxy
Porcelain is denser then concrete.
It doesnt need to be porcelain
