    I couldn’t agree more with the need to combine bio-, psycho-, socio-, spiritual-, and perhaps cultural aspects together in the process of combating the mental health problems. I am fascinated by the research about possibilities opened by nature itself (psilocybin „ concoction”) which seems to embrace bio-, psycho-, and spiritual avenues in healing symultaniouslhy. And I am far away from the idea of competition between mentioned approaches. From my perspective unity is the best answer.

    You don't know or haven't even heard about "The Lady"? She buys the Stairway to Heaven...I thought we all knew her. I'm in my 4th decade of this life and have been aware since before grade school indoctrination. I didn't allow brainwashing as authenticity is what I pride myself on. Anyhow...Led Zeppelin sings well of this wonder woman in history's greatest song(in my opinion).
    Sidenote: This is the first I've viewed content from either of you. I'm glad the encounter happened this way otherwise I may not have been so interested. I've studied Jung, Plato, Aristotle, etc...amount of old wise guys since middle school. I can't seem to find like-minded others, ANYWHERE. So glad to have stumbled upon this accidentally...it's more than just a breath of fresh air amidst all the pollution of narcissism swirling about. I don't usually make plans, but am allowing you both to be one for my future... continuing now.
    Thanks for the knowledge you bring and the connection we foster. Take care. Love&Peace Be With You.

    I have a ritual process that you could take and tailor for yourself. It requires the 22 major cards from the tarot and a big injection of personal creativity. I make a challenge up for each one and then shuffle them up and pull random challenges to do. Fasting, exercise, meditation, acts of service etc.

    I'm loving your podcasts so much. It's been really good listen too when I've been sick and my nervous system can't seem to stand the sound or visuals of anything. I'm also going through really intense sleep paralysis all night every night at times and really struggling with trauma integration, social integration and spiritual and neurological stuff. It starts to feel really isolating. Been sort of isolating, hardcore meditating and reading then watching these. It's nice to hear people talking more about these processes as it's something that was forced upon me and I've had no choice but to dedicate myself to practice. Would love to watch/hear your thoughts and guests talk about the individuation process in survivors of extreme trauma as most ashrams and retreats turn us away but I've found this way essential in my recovery and development, the same with psychedelics.

    Really interesting podcast. I have to say it was hard to hear my favorite bpd advocate singing Duncan trussels praises, as I strongly suspect him of having blocked me from joining his discord during a really vulnerable point in my life because I was very active in bpd communities at the time. I was genuinely heartbroken for years afterwards I’d looked up to him so much.
    But I really respect this pairing because if there’s one thing I want to explore and understand in this life it’s the wildly dynamic interplay between spirituality and mental illness. Understanding spirituality from a grounded place that doesn’t ignore or minimize the darkness we all carry and the importance of forming a healthy relationship with it is something that I’ve never managed to do, but Jung was just the perfect doorway into exploring these connections.
    Thank you for seeing the human behind the label, I adore seeing pairings like this and look forward to exploring more life maps through your content in the future. 💜

    Love all the stuff you discuss and my comment is not specific to this discussion, I resonate with so much you discussed. but Deep Nature Connection is the ultimate sojourn, all religions and spirituality and the psyche are ultimately rooted in Nature. Too much modern spirituality is anthropocentric and egocentic and not ecocentic or truly soulful. The hubris of humans and disconnection from Nature is the reason why our society has no soul, not to mention the ultimate cause of nearly every major problem that we are experiencing from climate change to war to AI. Nature is the only reason I survived my insane challenges with bipolar and trauma. Society failed me and as Terrence McKenna stated that 'culture is not your friend'. All true spiritual paths lead to Nature, so why not cut to the chase.

    Listening to this podcast is a refreshing window in a long string of synchronicities in my life.
    Rapid and extreme changes which haven't allowed time to mentally process, are shifting my physical and psychological reality. My creative endeavors have not covered my bills, along with my job, and I am forced to leave my home and get into a housing program.
    It is a real blow to my ego, but thanks to a spiritual awareness and growth, which I highly credit to what I've learned from CG Jung, I can grasp a perspective and be humbled and encouraged at the same time; disillusioned but not defeated; a necessary chapter to propel me forward.
    All in all, it's an opportunity.

      If you're searching for a connecting practice or at least a work that connects one to the wider existence around I encourage you to check out Heron Michelle's The Pentacle Path of Elemental Witchcraft. I've been reading through and trying it on for size and it has soo much good info and contextualization it's worth a read - even if not into witchcraft or esotericism. I feel she brings the world to the craft and the craft to the world.
      In congruence but also alternatively, a Place "capital P" based spirituality is so rewarding. Taking time to observe and reflect on the scales and cycles of lifeforms where you live or connect with has soooo many knock on therapeutic effects. I characterize this as gaining deep knowledge of a place, integrating ones' life experience and forming regular experiential connections and setting "appointments" with these places to reconnect and contextualize. These important places in our life are psychological and spiritual "touchstones" one can use as reference points and places of safety and power. Everything is absolutely connected.
      Personally, I connect with the native Sycamore trees where I grew up. They are very personally sacred to me and hold importance. They wear their life on the sleeves (bark) and are the lowland redwoods of California.

      @@THIRDEYEDROPS it's in regards to you two touching on that subject early in the discussion--meme about having the confidence of a 20 year old life coach.
      I have been noticing this story arch with the collective for awhile now. Millennials move like locust over fields. They are running out of identities to consume. Hopefully some good comes from this. If 1% actualize down a meaningful path, then it is worth the growing pains. But I have been predicting a reawakening of the Mystery school for 10 years now. I see it taking on a major role over the next 200 years.

    • @nathanpayne5009
      @nathanpayne5009 2 місяці тому

      at its roots, however, it is a symptom of how millennials and zoomers feel the need to validate an internal growth via a digital projection. these are further expressions of how we have become fractured into groping expressions on the internet as a surrogate for the ether/astral. however, there are instances that the virtual expression and astral expression coincide and these are grand and kismet voyages. they are rare, however, and most often accidents. Bjork's Vespertine comes to mind. I think she accidentally expressed her Kundalini awakening and documented it in that album and pollenated the entire collective in the process. Bjork is a rare incarnation, however, very much possessed by the divine feminine archetype.

    • @nathanpayne5009
      @nathanpayne5009 2 місяці тому

      I do think Chelsea Wolfe might be bringing some people along on her alchemical journey via She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out to She.
      Again, though, more than likely accidental or at least unintentional. And she certainly isn't announcing to the world her role as a wellness coach.
      However, it is hopeful, as the divine feminine is blinking and stretching in the beginnings of her expression across the collective. This is definitely something to be breathless about.
