    Do you prefer silver or black for the engine guards?

      I have the grey and black V4s so, black. If I had the red one, like you, I would still choose, the black. Like every other sane person. Also, the engine guards are not edible, marine.

    Nice move on the powder coat - I did the same. I also powder coated the passenger rear-sets, bash plate, handle-bar and triple-tree powder coated (not a personal fan of all that silver). On the handlebar I had them leave the "Multistrada V4" wording silver - so it pops. Playing with our toys, what fun. Awesome toy you've got, always enjoy your vids!

    Nice job. I too did not like the Ducati silver bars for my V4s (not PP) so I bought third party bars that are a Matt black finish and they look awesome. I just wish the standoffs and bolts were also black (may remove and have powder coated at some point).

    Glad you made this one. Having mine powder coated too and used a epoxy flat black on skid plate. I bought the enduro pack and the box was beat up so the put everything in another box with ALL the bolts for everything in one plastic bag.

    Black looks excellent. Not sure why Ducati makes them silver, black goes nicer with the red.. They do make a black version now, but it only fits the Rally models. Now I need to order mine, powder coat it and install it over the winter since no riding in IL till Apr-May :(

    Don’t listen to the anti crash guard crowd, they probably don’t own a 30k. Motorcycle and probably never will. I’m not going to fit them on my v4 pikes peak but they look good. What’s important though is they protect your bike . Way to go mate 👍😂🇬🇧

    I know you’re limited on space in that garage. Wish you had a picture of it from further back. I’m scouring the Internet not many people do engine protection on these bikes for some reason. I just dropped mine in the parking lot doing slow speed maneuvers, which is very depressing. Got some scrape ups on number one so I was thinking of doing this protection. Also is there any performance issues. Would you take this off if you went to the track or just a day when you’re out and there’s no cars and you’re really getting after it

    I'm a fan of your videos but I have to post a diverging opinion here about the strategy.
    Personally, (just IMHO), if you drop, engine crash bars are just an added piece of hardware your insurance company will have to pay for and that's if they do. I would spend money elsewhere as your likely to claim much more in a get-off. Please don't shoot the messenger for a personal opinion.

    • @RemboUSMC
      @RemboUSMC  Рік тому +1

      Opinions are always welcome and we can all learn from the viewpoint of others. For me it is about the protection from the simple drops that happen such as forgetting your kickstand is up and some other low speed mishaps that can be the difference between riding a bike home and waiting for a tow. The bars are certainly designed with offroad in place but I prefer an added level of protection. I can ride the bike with a cracked fairing but not a cracked engine cover.
