Andre was tuff in this game. My dad came over at 6am on a school day when i was in 3rd grade and brought this to me. I think someone gave it too him as collateral for some blow! cuz he would bring me games at weird times and my parents were divorced.
This game was one of the biggest let-downs that I can remember. Nintendo themselves put out a better game with Pro Wrestling, and that was a launch title!

As well as Cobra Triangle, Battletoads, Donkey Kong Country, RC Pro-Am, Super Off-Road, Indy Heat, Beetlejuice, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and California Games, among others.
Almost like "WWF Superstars": You and your partner faced Andre the Giant and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase in the final match of each loop. The first to win the belts from them, the second to defend the belts from their challenge.
This game relieved the glory days of the WWE. Nowadays, we get JBL, Corey Graves, Michael Cole, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Tom Phillips, The New Day, Dean Ambrose, Byron Saxton, the always popular Mauro Ranallo and the gal-pal BFF tandem of Renee Young and Cathy Kelley!
I remember bam bam bigelow too. ( I call him BBB or Triple B) I forgot about the wrestlers turning bright red when they got beat up bad or were about to die (aka get pinned). I remember now that pinning someone was difficult for me back then. I had this game and Pro Wrestling. my friend's uncle had Tag Team Wrestling.
I weirdly love that Andre's music is the song _"Stand Back!"_ that Vince McMahon sang at the Slammy's one year. Also, I'd completely forgotten about Ted DiBiase's Million-Dollar butt-crack. Ah well, this game was almost as good as _E.T.,_ so it's got that goin' for it, which is nice.

Not because I got two games instead of one (even at 6 years old, I adored Nintendo), it’s just that I was never into wrestling. I was REALLY into game shows, and to this day, I still own the same copy of Classic Concentration!

(It's why he had totally different music in the next WWF videogame outing, Wrestlemania Challenge, and why they gave him a pretty neat theme in Legends of Wrestlemania.)
