The game says Cie-sar instead of cease-ar because that’s how his name would be spoken in a Latin accent cease-ar is the Anglozised version of saying his name
I did not know this thankyou learn something new everyday
Kaisar
I find this video helpful on the topic. It isn't really as done in the game either. It's a sort of softer pronunciation that uses sound combinations that aren't common in English.

@derrickfinzer_retrosure, but not everyone is correct
Kind of sounds like the German, or Prussian word, Kaiser
I've had the idea of doing a samurai run in Tale of Two Wastelands because the Samurai armor is in FO3 and NV better supports melee. Technically both games could support a sword only run if you never want to use mods. There is still one katana in FO3, but it's hard to get. The Chinese officer sword could still be allowed in an FO3 run, imo. Just make it a swordsman run. I may try live streaming that sometime myself.

One of the most annoying things about the faction armor "disguise" system is that even if you take it off and put it back on they treat you like theyve never met you lol. It was very annoying during my NCR trooper playthrough
New vegas is clunky in places but it kind of works in s weird way
Melee Legion runs sounds very fitting. Even if both the Legion and NCR used more weapons than the two you used in these videos. But that would make the run too easy given what weapons you'd have access to, this is much more interesting and unique.
Could've used alot of weaponry but I decided to go for a typical legionary keep me on my toes :)
@@InsaneFrame i guess throwing weapons coulda been used for range but still the melee is cool
You've now won the war twice, for both sides...they'll have to compete for your allegiance next time!
Good to see you again agamer203 got a couple of severe challenges in mind (new vegas with all limbs crippled) so going to be tough
@@InsaneFrame WOW that sounds tough. I'll happily stay tuned though!
@@agamer203 the challenge will be getting to level 20 to get a huge damage boost
@@InsaneFrame Riiiight, the "eye for an eye" perk! Good thinking! A few early-game xp dumps like GI Blues, finding Benny, Black Mountain shortcutted, and Cold Cold Heart will make the leveling easier for sure.
*Can You Beat Fallout: New Vegas As A White Glove?*
- Only allowed to damage enemies with the Dress Cane.
- Only allowed to wear White Glove Society apparel.
- Only allowed to heal using any form of cannibalism, whether it be directly or through consuming human flesh in your inventory.
- Must complete "Beyond The Beef" and side with the White Glove Society.
- Must obtain the "Meat Of Champions" perk.
I quite like this actually :)
YES...and YES!!!@@InsaneFrame
YES... and YES!!!@@InsaneFrame
I love this idea
You should also add: Must obtain the Meat of Champions perk
And perhaps allowing healing through the consumption of human remains should be considered as well, with regards to how little cannibalism heals you
Yeah probably, the legion have a few of the- oh nevermind your just using machetes, still you probably will be able to triumph.
Also Rex is the best companion for this run for obvious reasons!
Keep making great videos.
thanks man appreciate the feedback I didn't actually think of getting rex missed opportunity
Light Step is so valuable in that last fight. It's something I always try to get before going to Lonesome Road, but it makes parts of Dead Money a JOKE. Loved the video, friend, have a good trip!
Thankyou kindly looking forward to sweden
Absolutely loved the video, couldn’t imagine how long this took you. (:
It wasn't too bad the beginning was rough though machete have bad durability
don't recruit legionaries use cowboy repeaters?
Yeah they do absolutely! wanted to be a typical legionary so machete all the way
level 1 lonesome road is an extremely fun challenge to do, and if you keep with the save file after that you're very well set up to be able to have fun with the rest of the game as well with a pretty decently leveled character if you've done most of the stuff in lonesome road, somewhere in the mid 20s at least
you know we're doing this gotta happen in fact this and nuka world
I love how it means the NCR and Legion pardon also includes the Courier *nuking one of their bases*
There is a perk in Fallout 4 that lets you command around any animal you can intimidate. So if you were allowed to start the challenge at a higher level than 1 so you can get the perk from the start, would it be possible to "Beat Fallout 4 With Only Animals"?
Any armor is allowed of course but you may only deal damage via an animal that you command. Of course companion animals would be allowed too, so Dog Meat for example could join the fight.
just saying a few things. a legionary would not kill caeser intentionally. and that you use stimpacks, stimpacks are included in the no drug policy the legion puts in place.
and regarless of caeser being "weak" the way the legion would deal with that is YOUR execution or a personal dual.
True ceasear did get an inexperienced doctor and he isn't as good as the legate lanius as a warrior so thought let's promote him
You can do NCR missions as a legionary, make sure to get the poorest possible outcome. Sabotage is a method for the legion.
that is very true but decided to just go with no NCR services
@@InsaneFrame fair.
In one or more of the Nipton Houses there's other full bits of Legion armour if I remember correctly ...
you are indeed correct!
I don't know if they send the bad stuff over seas, but I've had yorkshire tea here in the states, and it's actually not that good to me. And yes i do love tea, Yorkshire tea just isn't good to me.
That is okay friend everyone has different tastes
Fail the legion only uses healing powder I'm sure stimpacks are banned in legion country
fair enough i used only food items for the most part
That was an intense experience and amazing! You're not betraying the NCR, you're just on a little vacation from the NCR. Do they recognize you and the fact that you're wearing Legion attire? Well probably, maybe, I don't know, but since most of them died real dead, most likely not. They'll grow back and won't have any memory of what happened. Leave no witnesses and all is well. Also, perfection on putting Benny in the naughty corner. He must think about what he did, what he could of done better, and he must not do what he did ever again until a new playthrough.
Exactly right my friend funnily enough love how superglad dealt with benny :)
"I'm taking the Confirmed Bachelor perk" ...
10 seconds later
"Let's go test this Perk out in Primm"
Primm Slim : "Activating Fist-o protocol"
You could have went to the legion, safe house and get better armor!! Still a great video!
Very true very true
What about brush guns? legionaries use those.
Absolutely but wanted to stick with standard raw legionary experience
@@InsaneFrame you did go for the most raw experience)
@@Treasure_hunter_21 yep that was the intention the typical legionary
Best day of the week is when Insane Frame uploads!
You're the best!
Why didn't you just go to Nelson, side with the Legion there in wiping out Camp Forlorn Hope? If you do that, Dead Sea will reward you with The Liberator, which is a unique version of the Machete and I'm pretty sure it's better than the Machete Gladius
Damn i really didn't know could've got so much im a true legion novice
13:17 had me pausing to make sure I was actually watching Insane Frame, not Spiffing Brit. How does Yorkshire Tea get away with not sponsoring such avid believers of the leaf juice?
We part of the Yorkshire tea alliance :)
It’s a lot more complex then that the hard C sounding like a K is old Latin
The Soft pronounced as a soft C is from Church Latin from the Catholic Church I just wanted to correct something a lot people usually get confused or outright wrong in fallout community
these are the comments I love to read thankyou for the classification the more you know!
if you have the DLC's there is also the Broad Machette, wich is an actuall machette
the Boomers can drop bombs if you help them out nd the white glove society joins ceasar if you follow theyre cannibal questline...
thats pretty cool I knew both could join up but never got it to work
I personally go with the Yes-Man ending but my endings ranking is; Yes-Man, NCR, House, Legion.
By the way, if it helps General Oliver was still pointing his gun at you when you landed the killing blow so I'd say its still fair.
One Idea I did have for a run was to beat Fallout: New Vegas as the supposed Civ interpretation of Gandhi;
All weapons are allowed but you must obtain a fat-man and nuclear weapons before beginning any faction quests (as so many Civ players tell you of the chill when you here Gandhi say "Our words are backed with Nuclear Weapons") and must engage in dialogue with people if you want to attack (as in initiating the fight and if others join in that's their fault and they are allowed) and you can only attack people if they fire first or you fail a speech check with them, wildlife can be killed like normal (just as killing barbarians in Civilization is diplomatically fine), this being based on the mythos of the supposed integer underflow in Civ I where the AI aggression score would lower as they moved from despotism to democracy but since Gandhi's was so low already it would go all the way to the maximum and players would suddenly find Gandhi dropping nukes on their cities and going to war with almost everyone in the late game, Tom Scott explained this better than I did ua-cam.com/video/MVI87HzfskQ/v-deo.html and this apparently being referenced in Civ V when Gandhi's AI is the least likely to declare war but most likely to use Nuclear Weapons when at war.
Good to see you here again edspace not sure if can do a gandi playthrough but it does sound like fun
@@InsaneFrame Thanks for the welcome back. No worries, I wasn't sure how doable it would be. At least there are plenty of fun ways to play games.
Graced us with legion playthrough AND on very hard and hardcore? You are an absolute madlad, hats off to you! 😲🎩 this made me remember my kitchen knife only run, good lord it was brutal but i think you would do well. You seem like a determined individual like myself. One requirement since i did it myself, you MUST clear quarry junction by the end of the run though. Think you're up for the challenge?
Well quarry junction didn't get there to be honest and I missed rex starting to think need to do a replay?
@@InsaneFrame I totally forgot Rex was legion! I think that's a solid idea Frame you definitely should, checking through other comment suggestions such as no legion forbidden items, cowboy repeaters, throwing spears, etc. it seems an updated run would be a big hit! I know I'd be sure to tune in
I finally found some Yorkshire tea at my local store here in Canada, @InsaneFrame and I am very much looking forward to trying it. I usually drink Twinings (also from the UK), but I'll give Yorkshire tea a go and see how I like it. 🙂
Btw Awesome run. I love your Fallout videos. They are so much fun. 😊
Twinnings, Yorkshire tea! Sir you have impeccable taste i tip my hat off to you!!!!!
As I to you@@InsaneFrame for introducing me to such a fine tea. Oh, btw...I am an (old) Gamer Girl. LOL
I know hard to tell from the name... anyone could make that mistake. 😎
In my new vegas run, im doing more of a Frumentarii build. It's pretty fun.
Thats extremely awsome hope you achieve being the ultimate James bond in that playthrough :)
What about throwing spears since the typical legionarie uses them just about as much as machetes
I will do a throwable weapons only challenge at some point
Have you beaten tge game with the Compliance Regulator aka Freeze Ray?
I have not but it does sound like fun!
Hmmm never seen you and the spiffing Brit in the same room …weird 🧐
(starts sweating profusely) ummm don't know what your on about...
You should do a "Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as a marked men?". I think no one has made one and you could actually use some cool stuff (For example you could limit yourself to items dropped from the marked men "mini-bosses", like Beast, Bonesaw, Gaius Magnus etc.).
Great video as always, doom to the Boomers for not drinking tea, how dare they! Keep it up mate.
Yes the boomers shelled us and decided not to offer complimentary tea or coffee how could they!
Im not a fan of the legion cause of the fact they insult you if your a female courier im male irl but im choosing female cause of black widow and the fanbase is extremely toxic
Totally get you it can throw some playthroughs off a little
@@InsaneFrame keep in mind lanius only leads in battle so if we killed caesar they may fall joshua graham says it him self
You should have gone into the divide and got the blade and helmets from the marked men
Don't worry got a challenge coming up regarding the divide
Big up Yorkshire tea!
Yes funnily enough transporting tea to sweden as of typing this
glad you been working hard on this series
Matt hello sir always a pleasure seeing you back funnily enough im on vaccation irl
given the fact that it's a "roman" characer I thought of Jason from the Percy Jackson books
You know what this is a better answer @joshhaney9219 your answer is cannon now!
@@InsaneFrame probably one of my favorite book series i've ever read
You. You have replaced Mitten Squad?
I've not replace anyone just having fun doing challenges :)
You could have got the unique machete by killing the named npcs in camp forlong hope during the nelson section of that quest
>plays legion
>doesn't kill the followers
Well true im a novice at being a legionary
imagine being british anyway heres a sub:)
Ahhhh thankyou sir!
Ave true to caesar
You should do Vegas as a kings member
Can do don't see why not
Yorkshire tea.
The boomers didn't like Yorkshire tea.
Mr House: Et tu Insane Frame?
Insane Frame: Readies machete
Drinks tea machete ready....
insane legion
or maybe legionary frame
Welcome back villings insane legion oh yes please :)
Yorkshire tea, good man.
Always with the Yorkshire tea!!!
Do it do it join the dark Seide
I do like force lightning :)
The hardest part for me was not using stimpacks.
the south has risen again
Yes from Colorado the legion rises
Throwing weapons
thats coming don't worry
I love the idea that a bunch of Roman-Era LARPing savages with mostly melee equipment can overwhelm an entire military force mostly armed with guns. It's so funny to me.
welcome back goofy goober good to see you here yes it is pretty ridiculous
@@InsaneFrame I'm always here when a new fire video drops, even if I don't always comment!
Ave, true to Caesar!
Time for my break at work and an Insane Frame video, which is excellent.
Love to have you here man great to see you
Thank you good sir.
(Challenge idea but only if you’re okay with this)
Can you beat Fallout 4 while drunk IRL?
I would do this as a new year thing or April fools joke but id be willing so yes
Can you beat fallout but you have to play it like it’s DND, dice included.
No idea how id do that but could do maybe?
@@InsaneFramemaybe have a sheet with different things for each number, use like a d100 for story options, a d100 for actions, and a d100 for like, equipment/stats.
Not particularly streamlined though.
@@tricksterjoy9740 i do like this idea might need a live camera or something
Legion number one baby
More a NCR man but sure legion is pretty good :)
What about the broad machete
Honestly i overlooked it
'ate profligates
'ate NCR
luv me gladiators
luv me bitter drink
luv caesar
simple as
Fair enough :)
