Here we are again. Another half-season down, another beloved character dead (sort of). First off, apologies for the amateurish editing/"tribute" thing, this isn't the sort of thing I usually do but I figured I'd give it a shot for this one. Secondly, I now have solid plans for FTWD but I'll detail them later. Also, thanks for 7,000 subs and thanks for being patient! I know I've been uploading later than usual but I've been really busy these past few weeks. Hopefully, these latest tracks were worth the wait. The music in these past 8 episodes has been incredible. 809's gonna be rough...
I wouldn’t say he was “everyone’s least favourite character” it’s just he was so young he lacked the character depth and development to be interesting.
@@captainstu He was definitely a lot of people's least favourite though. He was never my least favourite, even during the first 2/3 seasons where I wasn't a big fan of him and I found him fairly annoying, he was never my least favourite. For his last couple of seasons I was really rooting for him, I absolutely LOVED that he was the first to open fire at the end of 7x16, I was so pumped watching him. Then Season 8 rolled around and despite the fact that his character didn't really make much sense (He goes from bloodthirsty fighter who wants to take Negan and the Saviors down in Season 7 to suddenly thinking fighting isn't the way and that they should try to find peace with the Saviors in the Season 8 premiere... Which was set a day or two after 7x16...), I was really digging Chandler's acting and line delivery. He was really coming into his own... Them bam he's written off.
@@boringmonkey6958 interesting He used to be my favorite because I grew up with him I was the same age each year I saw a news season So as a kid he acted the way I probably would
the way it was filmed too. With everyone lined up in the tunnel, seated as Rick walks by, heading toward, what they know is going to destroy him entirely. Poor Rick
Dana Michaels don’t think Carl showed them his bite first b/c if he had. Daryl would have 100% told rick and Michonne that Carl’s bitten which woulda ruined the reveal for us,
From the beginning to about 2:30, it sounds a lot like Season 1 music, bringing back that guitar/electric banjo/whatever sound. Then around 3:09, a touch of "Reunited (III)" from the last time the group was reunited only to witness a teenager's death. And then of course, 3:37, a reprise of his original theme...
I love this, absolutely a beautiful song. At the end you can hear a version of the song from when Lori died. It's a nice tie in but it makes it even more sad.
Hello there! At the end is Carl's theme :) it is tied with this as his demise and then his liberation at Season 8.09 - 14: Son. It is a transition between little Carl's theme (you can find it on spotify as Carl theme) and if you can notice that sort of sad lullaby in this song basically expresses the little child we all knew never grew. "Carl, the kid we all loved and hated... will die", so Yeah, it is related to Lori because is still a Carl's momentum XD follow those thems and feel Carl's story and let me know what you think
The night this episode aired, was the beginning of my mothers downfall. She was in bad health and it progressively got worse everyday after that night. Her favorite character Carl being bit shocked her and well, she went to bed right after seeing that. She didn't make it to see S8E9 in-fact (2/9/2018)..but..this theme..it hurts inside hearing it..because it..marks the day two of my most loved people were going away soon. On a more lighter positive note...this song is beautiful...hold your loved ones close..never let go..NONE of us live forever. This show is just a show, but its heavy for me.
loved this. almost cried. Carl might have been a pain in the ass before when he was small but he's grown into a man now! Stood up to Negan when no one else would besides his father Rick. but Carl is a man now not a little boy. RIP CARL GRIMES You did well in this show. well done!
this music... that ending scene, so tense... one of the heaviest scenes I ever saw... it hurts to see Carl gone, but they did a god job in this ending scene
I can't stop listening to this OST.. It's so intense! When I first heard it, in one of the episodes, I got the damn chills! Hell, I'm still getting chills. Each and everytime I hear this OST. In this season now, there's more love put into the OST's! I'm so happy about that, I think music is one of the most important things to set the mood! Really hope, they're gonna keep this up :)
What an intense hour of television! Was waiting on this one! Great work as always, thanks! And also, that editing was on point! It was amazing, especially the shots with Rick and Carl. Loved it!
I just found out that sounded like Carl’s theme back from season 2 on 3:34 but sounded like darkness in the end, if you listen to the beats then you might understand his first soundtrack in season 2. But yea to be honest, that song makes me want Carl back on the show, but great soundtrack B. Claimed👍❤️ And thank you sm
You did such a great job with the tribute, I literally got even more emotional watching it like this music gives me chills as it is and you're tribute was top notch, literally welled up with tears. thank you so much for posting these though, i look forward to 8B :)
Once I heard that one part of the track from "Destruction" you uploaded that's also at the end of this I had a feeling something bad was gonna happen to Carl, I recognized the theme from the soundtrack Bear McCreary released before this season started and from earlier episodes in scenes with Carl
Thank you for doing this. Everything about it makes me so happy and sad. I can't say thank you enough for the work you've done here and I love the little tribute you did. :)
AlStarGamer yes remember the beginning of the episode how Carl was talking about how not killing saviors and Negan he's trying to convince Rick to not kill Negan and the saviors and because of Carl's death this will make Rick think of not killing Negan in which episode 9 you're going to see him crying like he did in episode 1 and he will probably say my Mercy prevails over my wrath
Amazing as always Claimed!! Thanks. Even though I thought Carl's fate is the end of the show in a lot of ways, the scene itself with music and the way it was filmed was amazing. Reverent. Oh and I loved the end video you made. Made me tear up. It's no longer Walking Dead as we know it. Bear is a genius
3:37...This part produces so many feelings in me that most of it makes me think that we will always be our parents' children, even if we are already adults. This part reminds me of when Lori on her deathbed told Carl that he was always going to be his baby and that it would always be the best thing he could have done, a few months ago my maternal grandmother passed away and a few hours before she left she told me that I would always be her child, my grandmother took care of me as much as my mother did at the time and for me she was another mother This part of this song makes me squeal because it reminds me of my grandmother, especially because I think it's something like what Lori said to Carl before she died, we'll always be kids forever.our parents or grandparents, it's something that I think they see in us and I think this part of that song reflects that😢
Finally, been waiting for this one! I'm still so sad and angry that they killed off Carl like this. I understood Glenn's despite the fact he was my favorite character for nearly 5 years. But Carl's felt so wrong to me. Chandler and his character deserves so much better honestly. This soundtrack made it 10x more heartbreaking. I know for a fact already I'm gonna cry my ass off during the mid season premiere. 💔 Oh and I WASN'T READY FOR THAT MONTAGE NEAR THE END GDI MY HEART 😭💔
This was the end of the show - Without Rick having his son - ITS A PILE OF SHIT - Chandler didn't deserve whatsoever to be shafted from the show nor was they're any fucking reason to kill off Carl. THERE IS NO WALKING DEAD WITHOUT CARL GRIMES period
