Mafia City Of Lost Heaven is my childhood game i replay it every year and still enjoy it. The music and the vibes and ofc the ending makes me want to allways hop to mafia 2 ;)
The original Mafia is one the best games ever made and was ahead of it's time. I spent 100's of hours playing it when it came out, and just as many modding it.
The Godfather is one of my favorite video games of all time. The whole taking over businesses thing is something we’ve never seen in a game before or since. Excellent 20th century NY and gameplay.
The Godfather games are awesome and you should really play both depending on what experience you prefer. Part I makes you climb your way up from a Gangster to Don and is a more personal story. Part II on the other hand starts you out as a new don taking over your rival's businesses and is a more gameplay driven experience.
Love that game, even though it ran like absolute garbage and it’s rendering distance was maybe 3 inches in front of nick. Absolutely amazing games. Remember the dog patrol mode where you could play as Snoop Dogg, ahh good times
Mafia II was and still is a classic, one of my favourite games. There’s something about playing games when you’re younger that just holds so much more meaning. wish they consider making a remastered version 😭
Driver parallel line is literally my childhood. Being able to see how the character evolve and how the city changes from old cars to new ones is everything and also slink with is fat Afro was a vibe too haha
the only thing i know about that game is when he’s coming down the stairs shooting, but him and everyone else is t-posing. it’s the clip they used, but it was working properly in their clip
Like the first GTA on ps1...with the over head camera....I remember walking around and pressing circle ( charterer would fart and it would start fights with NPC's) funny shit
Honestly. I wish the rest of the series felt the same as that game. It's good that they branched out to be unique but the first two, especially the second one, were unique as it was
Joshua Joseph no I like the first saints row more because the first saints row is more gangster I prefer the first game’s customization it’s driving the cars in saints row 2 drive too slow the melee combat is worse in saints row 2 the camera angle was better in the first game on the other hand I can see people who don’t care about any of that liking saints row 2 more because the map is larger and the graphics are slightly improved there are reasons to like both games but I just so happen to find saints row 1 more enjoyable 😎
I agree completely. The first couple hours are a little difficult to get into, but as soon as you reach chapter III things get really freaking good. Easily one of the best stories in gaming for sure. Really fun combat too.
JPZ me too it’s my favorite game of all time it’s nothing like I thought it was gonna be until I played it,first 2 chapters are slow but after that it’s a 9/10 story.

The cops could be pretty tough to ditch on foot, but I loved to let a cop catch up, right around a car, so I could throw him into the trunk of the car, and listen to him bang around inside yelling for help, while I jumped the car into the ocean, and bailed, cackling with laughter. Ahh good times..
The first godfather game was great. I played it on PS2 then the godfather part 2 came out on PS3 I bought it and it sucked. I couldn't get into it but the first one I played for hours and hours
You guys have great taste in games. The Godfather, GTA III, and The Warriors were all fantastic. I’m about to finally try the Mafia series for the first time.

@@justsomeguy2743 I agree. I wouldn't trust Take Two to deliver a great remaster of Mafia 2. The story was okay as a continuation of 2, but the rest is just awful. If only 2K Czech made 3. Just a shame.

@@aeringothyk5445 , yeah I heard they addressed some issues with the game awhile back and decided to give it another shot a few weeks ago. I just finished it this weekend and really enjoyed it. @@sugreev2001 , yeah that's why I put it down the first time I played it (when it first came out). I was about 20 hrs in and had had enough. This time around, less so. I can't put my finger on why, though. I think they fixed issues with cover and added more offensive options. The driving was boring , too. I hated driving all the way down to the bayou, but driving feels a bit more fun this time around - at least when you get your hands on a faster car.
Mafia 2 was a amazing game and it had me in from the moment I loaded the game I just couldn’t get into mafia 3 it started really boring to me so I never finished it
I was too hyped for mafia 3, though i was disappointed I've finished it. The dlcs added some variety but compared to mafia 2 and 1, it's a bad game. I hope mafia 4 goes back to the franchise roots (no hangar 13 involved please)
Another one worth checking out is Empire of Sin. Take the racketeering and business holding model from Godfather 2 and cross it with XCOM, and it leaves you a pretty fun experience.
I completely forgot about the scarface game, honestly an unrecognized gem, I still remember the day my game got scratched and I couldn't find another at any local gamestops, was a sad day.
I played most of the older games mentioned on this list at an early age. For some reason I had no issue finishing Scarface, but The Godfather felt like one of the most overwhelming games I'd played at the time, from things like the opening sequence, the soundtrack, and just how intense it felt engaging in fights.

AdamT factory that shit open world🤣🤣💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿 used to run around knocking shit
That shit is gangster as fuck man. I just now plugged my old ps3 back up it's been downloaded on there for years. Now I'm running through New York fucking shit up again. Shits fun as fuck man.
The warriors and 25 to life are in my top 5 ps2 games
Mafia City Of Lost Heaven is my childhood game i replay it every year and still enjoy it. The music and the vibes and ofc the ending makes me want to allways hop to mafia 2 ;)
The original Mafia is one the best games ever made and was ahead of it's time. I spent 100's of hours playing it when it came out, and just as many modding it.
Finally some love for the godfather. That game is so overlooked
The Godfather is one of my favorite video games of all time. The whole taking over businesses thing is something we’ve never seen in a game before or since. Excellent 20th century NY and gameplay.
who needs another "Godfather"
hit like
i fucking need
Without a doubt fucking awesome game
Best game for PS2 ever
Best game for PS2 ever
They need to rework that game, add a lot more content and bam!
The Godfather games are awesome and you should really play both depending on what experience you prefer. Part I makes you climb your way up from a Gangster to Don and is a more personal story. Part II on the other hand starts you out as a new don taking over your rival's businesses and is a more gameplay driven experience.
i wish i could play it again so bad but my 360 is gone and i have a ps5
@@giovannicouncil8622 if you have a laptop or something. Can still play it as they aren't as demanding

Mafia: The city of Lost Heaven. Absolute top regarding storytelling
Best game out
And a new remake is coming out.
When godfather came out, it was truly out of this world. Especially when it came in a tin box with a rose on the inside 😍🔥

Love that game, even though it ran like absolute garbage and it’s rendering distance was maybe 3 inches in front of nick. Absolutely amazing games. Remember the dog patrol mode where you could play as Snoop Dogg, ahh good times
You broke the law and the law won

I fucking loved that game!!!
It wasn't real open world tho
Mafia II was and still is a classic, one of my favourite games. There’s something about playing games when you’re younger that just holds so much more meaning. wish they consider making a remastered version 😭
Driver parallel line is literally my childhood. Being able to see how the character evolve and how the city changes from old cars to new ones is everything and also slink with is fat Afro was a vibe too haha
*Gameranx mentions Scarface The World is Yours as bizarre:
me: they literally had a point system that used balls as points...
Xavier Opisthea yea the “rage” mechanic was “balls” lmao
the only thing i know about that game is when he’s coming down the stairs shooting, but him and everyone else is t-posing. it’s the clip they used, but it was working properly in their clip
Nxght damn that’s wild lmao
Also you gain points to shoot on enemies "balls"
You get ball by just yelling at the enemy 🙃
The Getaway video game is older than most of the kids watching this channel.
Lmao

@@maxtheleopard RIP block buster

Saints Row 2 is still one of my most favorite games of all time. There’s something about that game that’s just so lovable
Honestly. I wish the rest of the series felt the same as that game. It's good that they branched out to be unique but the first two, especially the second one, were unique as it was
Saints row > saints row 2
Tyler Klein nah bruh saints row 2 was great u just like the first one more because it is older
Mafia II as the thumbnail and it being on 1st Place! ..
Yakuza 0 is one of the best games I've ever played and I can not recommend it enough
I've had 0 and Kiwami sat in my Steam library untouched for a long time, going get them installed and give them a go.
@@WhirlingMusic Yeah I guess but you should try 0 as it's the best out of all of them and is chronologically the first game, if you don't like 0 then you won't like the rest.
The combat spoiled it, very little knives or guns, just hand to hand continuous button mashing..same with Sleeping Dogs..
i love sleeping dogs
the feeling of shooting out tires while driving in slow motion
the cool as hell martial arts take downs
the awesome storyline about betrayals loyalty and brotherhood
everything about that game is amazeing
Except the vehicle handling which sucked ass
The cops could be pretty tough to ditch on foot, but I loved to let a cop catch up, right around a car, so I could throw him into the trunk of the car, and listen to him bang around inside yelling for help, while I jumped the car into the ocean, and bailed, cackling with laughter. Ahh good times..
You forgot sliding over objects in slow motion and smoking baddies while doing so
sleeping dogs is far better than GTA.

Just imagine Mafia on the Mafia 2s engine..
Nice touch was how Mafia 2 touched on the ending of 1. Agree the original was the best. Especially PC version
Whole game was great, so varied. Second one was a total letdown, it was too repetitive. And third was worse.
The Godfather was one of the best games I've ever played in my life. They'd do a remake of it.
They def need to do a remake.

Oh snap! I remember Mafia Wars on MySpace back in the day 😂😂😂
Scarface was my jam back in the day. My best friend Wade (rest in peace brother) and I played the hell out of this. When we would take the missions to collect money from all of your businesses, we had played the game so much we had mapped out a specific route to maximize profits and gain the most amount of money. Good memories man.
Mafia 2 will always have a place in my heart. I love that game. If only the same studio fully made Mafia 3, and not in a supporting function. I don't get that decision.
Gerwin Eric I don’t count mafia 3 as cannon it was that bad, I don’t want a remaster of mafia 2 either as it would be the same team again and they would end up butchering it as well
@@thedonofthsht76-58 in that, I agree. The story is good, but not great imo and the way they presented it with a documentary flair is awesome. But that gameplay, I think it's the only time I really put down a game because I was so tired of the gameplay and I am a sucker for open world games and the chores that comes with it. I just happened to push myself through the game years later because of my love for the second game. But I agree, the story was good enough as a continuation for 2 and that gameplay loop was the sore thumb that sticks out so bad.
@@justsomeguy2743 I agree. I wouldn't trust Take Two to deliver a great remaster of Mafia 2. I read that the remnants of the original team who worked on two (2K Czech) was absorbed by the team that made Mafia 3 (Hangar 13) and that is bad imho. The story was okay as a continuation of 2, but the rest is just awful. If only 2K Czech made 3. Just a shame.
Mafia 2 is a gem that demands much more attention. Great video guys!
I remember being ill for a few weeks through the summer and a mate of mine bought me Scarface to “Cheer me up” and boy did it work. It was a great bit of fun when I was stuck in bed, it was a great looking game as well as I recall at the time. A great memory from a shit time for me it’d be nice to see a remaster/reboot but I doubt that’ll happen! Great vid Jake, cheers mate
I want Sleeping Dogs 2 soooooo bad. Definitely the most underrated game in history

The GetAway we need a remaster, I remember playing on PS2
Agree great game crappy controls.
Remember when you get to the last mission and then someone from nowhere just gets ya and you have to lean to heal such a ground breaking introduction
you had to lean against a wall to heal, you would pull the fucking bullets out. it was such a cool game and pretty good story
All I would do is take hostages and run from the police , missions where too hard for me because of controls.

No love for Liberty City Stories and specially Vibe City Stories :') damn, the empire building system on VCS was so satisfying... Really wish R* would do a port of it for android/"ps2 for ps4", but the soundtrack licensing doesn't make it any easier :/

I played mafia three a couple years after it released and I encountered zero issues. @@aeringothyk5445 , yeah I heard they addressed some issues with the game awhile back and decided to give it another shot a few weeks ago. I just finished it this weekend and really enjoyed it. The voice acting is top notch. I wish your mob bosses interacted with each other a little more or had more impact on the main story line. I'm looking forward to 2Ks next outing in this genre.
The Third one sucked. It’s so damn repetitive.
Mafia 1 for me, 2 is amazing but the first one was so gritty and perfect.

I hope mafia 4 goes back to the franchise roots (no hangar 13 involved please)
Another one worth checking out is Empire of Sin. Take the racketeering and business holding model from Godfather 2 and cross it with XCOM, and it leaves you a pretty fun experience.
That part where Mafia 2 tied the ending of Mafia 1 simply blew my mind 🤯
