    there's a frustratingly small amount of paint in those dots, so I"m impressed you can get such good swatches from those low tinting ones!
    quick note: desert brown is made with PY159 like the rest of the set, not the high tinting, non granulating PY150. I've been mixing my own SG copies with single pigments, but I had to go back and double check! PY159 can be frustrating to work with from a pan, so I"ve ordered the tube. fingers crossed that makes it easier.
    I like the subtle tones of desert yellow. trying to figure out how to use it now.

      Oh, wow, how did I mix that up when I looked it up lol. Thank you for the correction 😊 I’m trying to figure how to use a lot of the colours so I can justify buying more lol. Thanks for watching.

      @@bazutaartstudio oh 9 and 0 can look remarkably similar depending on the font. an easy mistake to make.
      meanwhile, now that I have *all* the granulating pigments, I realized I wanted more non granulating colours. this is a dangerous obsession, help! 😅

    Oh i like how you put the pigment color no on your swatch chart this will help me by learning pigments, im dipping my toe into color theory but at times i get overwhelmed with information.thank you for breaking the sets down onto a more mangeable slower version its easier to retain the information....very helpful, i subscribed to your channel im glad i found it it popped up when went i went looking for dot card review...im not so sure why cause i dont live by any desert but the desert and certain color in volcano entices me into buying a a few half pans of certain colors i heard that jacksons carries them... Arizona has some pretty desert colors along with sedona area...i live near great lake area so its quite odd that i like desert colors..lol, i dont really even draw much desert stuff. Altho sandy rocky beaches i draw and gravitate torward the lake beach colors and the yellow and brown of desert remind me of our lake beach colors along with rock colors of the beach also that the volcano i see in some of the lake rocks along the shore...looking forward to watching more swatching of the ssgwc sets. .mikelle art mom👩‍🎨🎨✍

      Thank you for watching, and thank you so much for subscribing! It's funny what kinds of colours we end up gravitating towards :) Jackson's does cary the full range in pans, tubes and sets. I have an affiliate link in the description of my videos that will get you 10% off your first order with them if you're interested. I am so glad these videos have been useful to you. I have a few more sets to review, look for them soon :)

    Thank you for your Dot Chart swatching videos for Schmincke! I immediately ordered both of their dot charts and a sketch book to dedicate to swatching them. I’m especially impressed with your swatch grid, and took a screenshot so that I can try to duplicate it. The best part, for me, is seeing your purposeful drops of water in the lower right corner of the squares that show a back run. Thanks so much for sharing! 🤍👏🏼👏🏼

    Do you use a ready-made swatch book or do you have a swatch stamp to set up your swatch book? I’m really impressed with it

      I actually measured out and drew the rectangles by hand for most of the book. I finally got tired enough of doing this that I made myself a stencil :) I've though about having a stamp made but can't justify the cost right now. I am glad you like it! thank you for watching :)

    Patty-Loveyour swatch method. Did your book come with the spiral, or did you have it put in?

      @bazutaartstudio  Рік тому

      Thank you :) The book came that way. Unfortunately, they are no longer made so I am in search of a replacement as I am getting close to the end of this one and there are oh so many paints out there to swatch haha.

    The Desert Green looks like lizard or dinosaur skin. Not sure what else you can use it for though!
