Black Racer Snake at Full Speed - Squirrel Runs Away!

Fastest Black Racer Snake at full acceleration is a sight to behold and so is a Gray Squirrel that runs away in fear! What is the fastest U.S. snake is open to debate depending on environment and circumstances, but watch this Black Racer kick it into high gear on grass and its hard to imagine any faster snake. A person would have to break stride and run to keep up with or ahead of it. Squirrels have been filmed attacking snakes to protect their territory and family before, this may be the first time one has been filmed running away up a tree to safety when coming eye to eye with a snake.

Holy me! The black racer is truly the Usain Bolt of snakes, except not Jamaican. He disappeared of the line of sight really quick! He was more afraid of you than the squirrels, who are yet usually the shy creatures =)

LoL! That snake was Amazing! The way it moved through the grass. I would have thought it would be faster on a open area like the patio but it seemed slower. But in the grass it seemed in its element and just rippled through it! So Beautiful to watch. Thanks for capturing another Amazing (and hilarious) moment! 😃

See these in my yard all the time when I’m cutting grass don’t notice because it moves fast almost gave me a heartattack when I go to shut off the mower for a break and seen it racing in front of me

Do you feed them raw or roasted (obviously unsalted) peanuts? You have helped me with my squirrel neighbor/friend who has let me touch her tho just for a sec so TYVM! She comes morning, lunch and early evening every day. Loves the nuts, water (you suggested) and peering in my patio door!. I also have blue jays which are hysterically funny! Also deer, foxes and yesterday I found morning doves nesting right next to my place! I live in the best apartment complex ever (for the price haha) to get to see all of this nature and everyone walking their dogs off course. (Not as nice as yours of course!) TY for your videos!!.

I just saw one flying like this in the woods behind my house. I scared it accidentally :( we have ball pythons. I love snakes, all of them, even the venomous. The one I saw was moving about the speed of the first few seconds of your video, but it was dodging young pines. So cool!
