Great walk thru! I like the vibe as you are showing us around like a friend rather than trying to sell us on the property... We are headed there this weekend for a family wedding. We're really wanting a walk thru video so we could feel out the property to get to know the grounds and also to figure out what building we would like. Building 1 appears to be the winner. Thanks again for taking the time to help us newbies out!

Thanks... we had actually been to this resort as just a couple, and then took our kids back with us too, but that was about 8 years ago, so I was looking for a reviewer with updated information... And yours hit every note.
I had forgotten that there was a tennis court with equipment which is exciting for my daughter who plays high school tennis and was worried about missing a few practices to come on our anniversary trip with us.
She was only 5 last time so we didn't care about that... but you are right that the kids keep "ASKING" to go to the kids club. Seriously, they were really sad one time when we tried to make them go play on the beach as a family and they were missing an activity.
We're excited for them to now have access to the Teen hangout area this time.
I do want to mention that Prestige Members actually DO get liquor in their rooms, and for free even (well, you've paid for it with the membership), and it's BIG bottles of whatever you want to be stocked before you arrive. It's a really great perk I don't think we actually knew about when we did the sign up. We also love the free airport transportation part of that deal.

We were there March 2019, it is amazing. We were advised to go to Xcaret for a day excursion which was also amazing, Phil and Julie from Leeds, England.

Covid permitting, we have a holiday booked for 2 weeks, May this year to this resort. We've always stuck to Tui Sensitori and had amazing experiences(although this is will be the longest we've gone for and flown for)

Thanks for the detailed review! We're going in a week and couldn't find many reviews about it.
One thing about the massive seaweed: unfortunately that's due to climate change, mangroves being destroyed, along with the tons of resort areas being built.
Love that you included the teen area, our child is excited for that!

You are quite welcome. You would mostly select Premium for the nicer rooms (swim-up, ocean view, etc.). Concierge is a small extra benefit.
Great video and review, considering this resort for March 2021. What is up with the prestige package? If you buy in to the package, do you get liquor in the rooms? Just my wife and I no kids this time.
I was thinking of making a separate video on the prestige package. There is A LOT that goes into it. It took us 2 hours to hear all about it.

Yes. The only thing that isn't is Starbucks. Before you go I would recommend watching my video on the "Karisma package" as that will come up on your trip. Have fun!
Hey great video, very helpful, some questions. Do you have to use a mask to walk around the complex? And there is any things that you have to do because of the covid?. There are some kayaks, windsurfing activities or something like that?
When we were there you never had to wear a mask (including indoors). There were not many restrictions at all. I don't believe that there were any kayaks or paddle boards available. Thanks for the feedback and for watching!

They will def allow you to take food out. I would advise the Mexican restaurant for kids. They have games to play. Make reservations a day before. thanks for watching!

I didn't mention it and to be honest now I don't really remember. I know that we did get a pretty good deal because it was in the middle of the pandemic

This resort is right on the beach but I wouldn't recommend walking off of it anywhere.

Hi. I have read a few reviews of there being a strong smell of what smells like rotten egg that comes from all the sea weed on the beach. They say you can smell it all over the resort. Would you say this is true? Thanks

There is a designated "adults only" pool. At least when we were there, the beach was open to all.

We were in the block adjacent to the kiddies pool and play area. Did you try the a la carte restaurant? We weren't impressed. It was a case of the Emporers New Clothes for us.
Yes we did get to try that restaurant. Our favorite was the Mexican restaurant where you got to sit outside and have an ocean view.

oh no. i hate seaweed, I've stayed at azul fives in playa . I loved the resort but so much seaweed. I heard Cancun has less, but not according to this review.
don't buy the prestige membership. i made the mistake. cannot find presidential suites for the supposedly 50% discount. You get the same if not better prices at expedia.
The resort is great if you like to stay at the pool, but the beach not really. We were there last year and the water is horrible. You cant swim and the bottom of the ocean is full of dead and decomposed sea weed. Very disappointing if you like to swim in the ocean :(
