i feel the x70 is actually more of a value..and it does have a much better NVH overall...

In pakistan, proton has launched x70 with 1.5 litre turbo engine.

Both are not made by Proton. Only the logo uses Proton. The fact is that it is a Chinese-made Geely brand.
Brands from China are less popular outside of China.
Proton is the only platform to market Chinese products.
Proton is now just a Name
No difference compared to early Proton. When Proton-Mitsubishi, Proton-Honda, they just rebranding. Rebranding is not something refreshing in Proton. But yeah, they will rebranding for few more model before their start making their own, and once they start make their own car, it always full of problem.

Mitsubishi motors help Proton build its own automotive by technology transfer. Proton managed to build its own "campro" engine and has its own design. Unfortunately after Geely took over, the efforts made by local engineer disappeared with Chinese products. The fact is that Proton is just a Geely product sales platform.
At least the cars now can be sold here in Malaysia with it being cheaper and not having to import it
