Hello Jeff, another cover lover, this cover of "Silent Night " this is like the teacher & the apprentice, The Teacher Lucy Thomas, is the Queen of the UA-cam music channel her covers are so simplistic it is Lucy & Martha singing in a room with a camera recording them, within 2 weeks they have over 1 million views there beautiful voices make this happen, Emily Linge & Cara Vel's version is over 4 years old & has under 50,000 views. Don't get me wrong I like Emily Linge she is amazing in what she does but nobody can compare to the way Lucy sings these famous covers. Merry Christmas, Barbara.
@@barbaracallister8138 Thank you for watching and Merry Christmas to you as well! There is definitely a difference in the two pairs. However, I was surprised how much Emily’s version moved me. I didn’t read the stats as I should have. You showed me how much the sisters are loved. Thank you as always for watching and commenting!
Hi Jeff, thank you for this reaction, I am a little biased and after following Lucy for a few years now I have become used to vocal perfection, that being said I did enjoy the contrast between the two versions, so very different but both so very enjoyable. Thanks again 👏👏😊❤️
@@bradgannon4412 Thank you Brad! Trying to be as neutral as possible, I tend not to choose a favorite (at least not out loud)! I’m glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching Brad
Both are first class performances, with 4 fine vocalists!,one of them is outstanding as she has shown us over the last # of years,Lucy& Marth's rendition has had over 1 million views in 2 weeks getting there 4 days before "Hallelujah" which was Lucy's fastest song to get to this figure previously,& has reached 53 million to date,it will be interesting to see where "Silent night" ends up!😊
Four earth angels sing the song in celebration of the day of days. I think both were heavenly. At the age these girls are when these were recorded is jaw dropping. The future for music is safe. Such a sweet melody to have stuck in my head for awhile. Thanks young ladies and our host, and Merry Christmas to all.
@@jeffkerr4861 extremely good call on your part JK. I have no idea how old they were/are but these are magical at any age Thank you again I need this everyday but some days more than others….today even….
@@Anothercoverlover62 Not looking them up but my guesses are Emily 12, Cara 13, Martha 14, Lucy 20. I'm in the ballpark. We got some good music headed our way.
Great choices. They were both great or all 4 in this case. What I lack in any talent I use for listening power. I don’t have a lot of talent wish I could borrow some. Beautiful song done beautifully twice. Thank you both Jeffs. Take care. 🙏🙏🙏
@@jameshaberkorn8728 You are welcome sir. I remember a musician who was amazing, saying “well someone has to listen, we can’t all be musicians” Very sage words Thank you James
What great choice of two extremely talented sets of duets. I have followed all these wonderful musicians for a few years now and I think the world of all of them. I believe the acoustic guitar that Chiara was playing is her trusty Tanglewood guitar. Did you know the great thing about electric guitars, including the squire, is that you can replace every single part of them with higher quality parts and make the cheaper electric become a quality one? I doubt the squire is stock. Thanks for a very interesting comparison reaction of all my favorite young musicians. Well done.
@@PersonalStash420 thank you for watching! I was surprised she played a Squire. I use to sell them for years. You could upgrade every part of it, pickups, tuners, strings etc. But why wouldn’t you just but a better guitar? Anyway, if she likes the sound and feel then good!
Hello Jeff, can you do me a favor, I have just heard a song, " Feel Like Going Home " by Charlie Rich 1973, & another cover of this song 1996 by Mark Knoplar & Tom Jones, could you do Another Cover Lover reaction for this song please it is just such an amazing beautiful song.
