Got me thinking why is the G a Gmajor and you explained about raising the flat 6 from Bb to B in the minor key. I guess it's like playing in a minor key and playing it's parallel key in this case DMinor and D major which has G Major as the 4th chord. Thankyou!

Yep definitely, you could think of the G as a borrowed chord from D major. Glad you are enjoying the lessons!
