  • Why I had to switch from the Landroid to the Gardena. I love Worx products but unfortunately they let me down with this one

Thanks for this review. I was trying to decide between these two exact models for my country house. Since it's a country house, the number one priority is that it doesn't stop because I might not be there for a few weeks and if it stops then the lawn will be overgrown and I have to cut it when I get there. I will go for the Gardena which seems much more reliable.

I will be honest even the gardena stops on occassion for one reason or another. I think the question for me is robot lawnmoweres are still fairly new. I am hoping the tech significantly improves every year. That of course is going to be steeply affected by sales and success. I think a lot of people are afraid to make the jump in fear of setup

@@xsean112x Yeah, I have/had a Honda that the previous owners left. It cuts pretty well but gets stuck on occasion. Usually it's fine to turn it back on if it's been less than a week, otherwise the grass is too tall and it won't manage. We are a few neghbours with robotic mowers that usually help each other out if we see them stuck. The Honda broke down though and repairs seem to go past 500 dollars so I'm looking to replace it altogether, warranty has expired. Anyway, my lawn is already setup with wires so I assume I can just plug and play a new mower. And speaking of tech, I don't really understand why we have to use guiding wires and such. A gps module is not terribly expensive, in my opinion this should be standard.

@@benji4608 yeah honestly the guide wire was surprising to me as well considering like you said gps is old tech and shouldnt be that pricey. What bummed me out is Worx has always impressed me so was real surprised they didnt come up with a better design. Their GPS system is great. But I get what you are saying, I have had to mow my large lawn several times because I didnt realize the mower had stopped. Still having pretty good luck with the Gardena in general. Last time it stopped was due to my own neglect and lack of cleaning and the charging hole got clogged with debris so it didnt charge. But it got stuck once or twice, not bad. I would imagine the wire for the honda would work for any brand like you said

I own a Landroid M 500 2.0 and I find myself perfectly in your words.
I just bought a Gardena Sileno Life smart for my parents!
I haven't even thought about buying another works landroid!! 🙈

I love my Gardena, still occassionally gets stuck but nothing like the landroid and when it does a fraction of the wheel damage. Your parents will be happy!

I have Gardena as well accept it is a larger Selena City version. Unfortunately it will get stuck if the lawn has bald spots and will become muddy during the rain. Husqvarna 115h is very similar to Selena electronics, motors , control panel looks identical. But the software and the shell is different with an advantage to cut over 2 inches.

The 115h is an incredible machine. I am blown away by its performance. My gardena works very well with only occassional hiccups. The Worx is terrible

Would you recommend the sileno minimo for a small garden which is kind of L shaped? The corridor of the "L" is really narrow and I don't know if it would find the other end of my garden. I am unsure on whether to get the standard sileno minimo or the "more intelligent" sileno city with LONA technology. My garden is small.

Honestly I have not had to have mine go through a tight corridor so am not sure and do not want to give you bad info. May be best to get the higher model in your case

@@xsean112x I have another question. I am about to order the Gardena minimo. I am not sure if I should get the minimo 250 or minimo 500. I saw that it's the exactly same model but the minim500 mows for 12 hours a day max and the other one 5 hours. My garden is 200 sq meters. Which one would you pick? I don't really want my mower to work 12 hours a day. Do you think the minimi250 could handle the 200sq meter garden just fine? Which model do you have here?
