No regrets about the mower. It has been running for 3 seasons now, and I just love sipping on my drink while watching it work. It's one of my more obidient children ;) My biggest regret is, that I never leveled out my lawn well enough... all the holes in the lawn do get the mower stuck, and more on wet grass. I ofcourse wish I could afford one that could map out my lawn and be even more controlled by me, but that is just out of my price range :D
Hi, do you think it would travel well through such a gravel as in your video? I have an identical lawn edge, however without pavement, my steup is grass-plastic border and gravel stone, wondering whether a single wheel of this lawn mower-robot would be able to go through without getting stuck.
No, I don't think it would be a good idea. Mine sometimes get a wheel into the gravel, and can easely get stuck that way... it's just not stable enough :)
Hi mark, then do you have make passed the cable under pavement. i have the same situation , but my terrace is more large, then i have removed maybe 2,5 mt of the pavement and insert the cable under pavement but not with a distance of 1 mt, is a problem for the worx ? For distance of 1 mt , do you want tell me the distance between the cable of round trip ? Thanks you and sorroy for my english very bad :-) , I hope it's understandable
@@marconugnes6192 Hello Marco, yes is yet reachble and work fine!!! it was a hard job to remove all the self-locking devices, it took me 1 month to work, but I did it and I'm satisfied! thanks regards roberto
On the grass side. About 10 cm into the grass. I had to do some trial and error, to test what the right distance would be, to make the wheel stay on the pavement
Hi! Great Job! How much distance is between the two cables in the crossing zone? And is he mowing in the crossing zone? Thanks for your help, i‘m thinking about buying the Landroid too.
I think the manual says, that there should always be about 1 meter between the cables, so the droid won't get confused, and to leave room for maneuvering. The droid keeps moving when moving over the pavement. It still thinks it is on grass, and cannot see the difference. Hope that helps :)
Great thanks! I was wondering how to do this practically ? Did you setup multiple zones in the app, or isn't this necessary anymore ? To understand correctly, you placed 2 wires under the pavement with at least 1m clearing between them?
@@MarkSaeys Yes, 1 meter between the 2 wires crossing the pavement. Also zones are to have a bit more control over where the landroid starts. I use it to start my landroid in my zone 1, because it always ends in the other zones quite fast. So my zone 1 is a bit more neglected... so always starting there helps with that :)
Are all zones connected to the base for it to know to cross over? I'm asking because I have a driveway in between the front and backyard. Also, have this affected the blades in anyway?
Zones is a bit of a misleading word for worx. Even with 3 zones, it is all done with the same wire. Each zone just have it's own starting point from the base. I think it works like the worx just calculates how many meters or seconds from the base, it is, when you mark a zone on the app. The blades never touch the pavement. I had to raise the grasslevel a bit, to make sure they didn't hit, and to make sure the wheel didn't get stuck, when moving from the grass to pavement.
@@Daniel-uj3zi I believe zones are for dividing the same wire into sections... or basicly marking the wire, with "start-mowing-here" spots. If you are refering to moving the mower to a whole other lawn, then that lawn needs to still be connected to the same charging station, or have its own charging station.

beautiful, I just bought one and will install shortly. Tell me, along the gravel pathway, did you extend the limiting wire?? Thanks
any regrets? I'm been eyeballing this and its sitting in my Amazon Cart waiting for price to go down a bit more....from Chicago, IL

I was wondering what happens if my neighbor loves mine and buys one right next door! Will mine cut his lawn and his cut mine?

Hi! I have your same situation! Did u find a solution? Is the wire under the pavement block still reachable from the robot? Thank you!

On which side of the stone boundary was the cable laid? On the grass side or on the gravel side?

Dit is fantastisch
I'm sorry , another question. My flooring is high maybe 6 cm, the worx see the cable ?
Hai scoperto se funziona con 6 cm di spessore?
@@Marco-dr5ho Ciao Marco, funziona adirittura con 8 cm di spessore

And do you just leave it out side or do you put it in a shed
I always bring in the worx when the season is over. It is not good for the battery to be our in frost.
Hi, how have you do that ? With cable under pavement ?
yes, I placed the cable under the pavement to allow the droid to cross the gravel :)

Worx robotmower is not good. Front to low. Mower digs into the ground and stops. Do not buy a Worx.
