The Sony PlayStation 4 video game console released on November 15, 2013, in the USA. Gamebits editor Ken Gagne offers this video of the unboxing and initial setup, looking at the controller and hardware, downloading the day-one patch to update the OS to v1.50, setting up a PlayStation Network (PSN) account, and looking at the Playroom demo, which requires the PlayStation Eye camera.

I've owned a PS4 for a while but I still go back to this video for the nostalgia. It's insane how excited I was for this new console I learned everything about it.
Goddamn it, it's been 10 years..... refreshing old memories... I always wanted to have an ps... now I have the ps5 but this video remembers the moments when I was just a 13 years old.. time surely flies:)
I was 16 years old when PS4 launched back in 2013 and I used to watch this video at least a couple of times every single day back then. Now I'm 26, married and have two kids of my own but nostalgia is too strong for me to ever forget that period of my life.

I have been hyping up for BO3 on Gen 7 until a few days ago when i found they are discluding DLC and campaign. I really wanted to play the zombies maps...and i already planned all my money out and used most of it...and now i wont be able to get ps4 to at least next year...and i wanted to play bo3 dlc...i was hyped for over a year. im screwed

Nope..the only things that are going to be on PS3/360 are Zombies (Shadows of Evil) and the basic 12 or 16 non DLC multiplayer maps. No add ons, no dlc, nothing

I remember back when that released I wanted one so badly in which at the time I couldn't afford. Overtime I was able to nab the call of duty 1 TB system with the orange matte finish and controller. To this day I still love that system.

10 years since the console came out, I was 11 back then and very excited to get the console in the future. I would call the shop owner every other day to find out if PS4’s were available in my city or not. I watched this video so many times trying to figure out what was included in the box and how to set the console up. I had so many questions about this console, I was not sure if I had a proper internet connection to play online or any other issues with the console. I remember watching the xbox unboxing as well. Thank you so much for uploading this video, I even commented a few times here asking random questions about the console and you replied! Whenever I think about the time with my ps4, it reminds me of this video as well.

Quick story for you guys.
Around Christmas there was a ps4 sitting down stairs on the table,so I got excited that it was mine because I had asked for one!so as I'm unboxing my other presents I then get to the ps4.i try to grab it and then my mothers boyfriend grabs it and says this isn't yours and smiles,I was mad 😡 but didn't show it.Its so messed up that I asked for one for Christmas and he got one for his self!😞

Sam Fulton depends what you are looking for. I'd get both because each console has some games that the other doesn't, If you are looking for a shooting game based console I'd go for Ps4 when it comes to racing I'd go for Xbox One also even though each system has shooting and possibly racing games. I'm judging based on what I think the consoles 1st came out with that the other console doesn't have

I'm just like you bro, I'm an avid anime and manga enthusiast. I also really want the ps4 although I have the xbox one which I have and love to this day. Honestly it's better to wait till the launch of ps5 next year or late this year, coz either you can get the newer console or get the ps4 then for cheap.
It's funny how I just came back to this video for nostalgia. And guess what? There are some features about the ps4 I only learnt about after 6 years of owning the console thanks to me watching the vid in full this time!

Sadly, I didn't get to buy a brand new Ps4 and didn't get to chance to unbox it. Bought mine used at GameStop on 2016 and still works like a charm!!!!!! I'm here today the year of 2020 where I actually bought the lastest PlayStation brand new and got to unbox it. Man years go by quick don't they. Happy PlayStation!!!!
