  • Vitália Víg, a recognised soil ecologist shares her thoughts about soil health and the importance of composting not just in agricultural production, but in small scale as well. We can produce or cultivate microorganisms in compost, fungi, bacteria and higher consumers which, once in the soil, can provide the nutrient cycle and other ecosystem services. We should look at the raw materials that we can compost not just waste, but a valuable resource, that we can use to create healthy soils and healthy crops.
Produced by ÖMKi - Hungarian Research Institute of Organic Agriculture for the PREPSOIL project (prepsoil.eu), financed by the EU.
