Oh yes, a bit tricky. Especially since the front leg part almost always snaps, due to a thin connector between some sort of moulded-in actuator and the main leg. However, while looking through some old photos, I found one of a build of the previous Airfix Gnat (as a Red Arrow Gnat), which had what I could only describe as main UC based on not looking at a Gnat. The design had more in common with a Jet Provost.
Great stuff! I have kept quite a few of my old kids kits as well and are now rebuilding some of them at 63. A nice nostalgic challenge.
I hope you enjoy it but keep the work area ventilated. I'm sure the glue & dust from sanding is no good for any of us.
