What an adventure to get there and probably back home again. Loved every comment during this and had many laughs 🤣👍🏻 I‘ve seen so many videos about this Elefantenrennen and I always said to myself, why just why? But I guess you’re right, you have to be there to kind of feel this yourself. They all say you hate it or love it, meaning you go once or every year again. Not sure if I will ever be there but hey who knows. Great video of a great trip, downsized to real adventure and of course with Dave and his dad, how could it be any better. Cheers 🍻
Picked up the link on faceache to this video... outstanding! A mate of mine has suggested going to the rally. He has also suggested finding the most clapped out / cheap / unsuitable motorcycle sidecar outfit in which to make the trip.... looks like it would be the perfect combination.
THIS IS FUNNY. Thank you for doing this, so the rest of us can experience it from our comfy chairs. I see you are serious about embracing chaos. Maybe living vicariously through other people's struggles is not bad after all. You guys are true heroes. My only criticism is that you forgot to bring a roll of Duct Tape. By the way, the Adventure Spec wind screen is brilliant.
Yes. One of them is the Annual Giant Loop Ride at Crane Hot Spring in Oregon in June. If the weather turns bad it can get very messy. It really doesn't matter, people go anyway. It's similar to your festival.
First saw this event in the early 70’s complete with Ural Sidecars and snow. Falls into the category of ‘prefer to watch someone else doing it’. Excellent vid! Loved it!
Remind me again how many perfectly good working bikes you have in the garage that you could have used instead Marc! 😃 Great to see Dave and Dave with you too.
I do several hivernales in France every year, the biggest of which is the Millevaches. This year’s was very wet, windy and muddy. Very muddy. It’s so much nicer when it snowy and cold.
Blimey....my initial thoughts were a combination of mad max meets apocalypse now 😂. As much as I like my bike camping that's one hard core meeting. Fair play for riding the moped all the way there to experience it 👏
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
😂😂 Best comment yet! 😂😂
Great video, I really enjoyed it! I was there, having ridden from Wales, and this year my other half is riding her bike there too. Not long to go now!
Superb! Thank you for sharing gentlemen
Thanks, you're welcome 😎👌🏻
Awesome video, finally got around to watching and it was great 😀
Thanks, really appreciate it 😎👌🏻
The german version of burning man. Your journey is what an adventure is truely about.
Agreed. I really like the look of Burning Man 😎

Haha, thanks. I'll go back at some point...just not quite yet 😂

Haha, amazing. I definitely think that's the way to go about it. You'll have a ball 😎
Thanks for this I’m going next year. Done the dragon rally for a few years this is the next step.
Make sure you do it, it's a cool experience 👍🏻
Great video - made me laugh out loud 👍
Thanks man 😂
hi taz here was good to meet you and glade you made it home on the scooter lol see you next time
No way! Hey man, cool to hear from you! Dave is returning this year with some friends, perhaps you'll see him
ohh man love it !!! It's such a pity that I haven't seen you around there :/🐘 I love your adventures 👍🏼
Awesome 👊🏻😎

Haha, thanks mate! It was a week of absolute stupidity 😂😂. Do you guys have anything like this in the US?
Unfortunately, we have become beyond stupid in so many ways. What we need is more fun Stupid. Life is still good if you make it so. @@lightweightadv

Haha, yeah, that's what I'm gonna say from now on too 😂
Wow. Well done for doing this but I can safely say I will never go to this grim looking event, on a scooter, on motorways. The dog's face says it all!
What a brilliant comment 😂👌🏻
Love your vids. Enjoyed this one 😊
Ah, thank you so much 😎
The Elephant Rally is on my list to do. I did the Dragon Rally In Wales in February and that was awesome, highly recommend if you haven't done it yet.
I'll be up for the next one 😜👍
See you there 😅

Proof once again that's could does not mean should 😎
@@lightweightadv wouldn't be half as much fun for us to see you do it effortlessly on a T7 though. 😀

Mad max vs Apocalypse now is a VERY fair description 😂😂
Your best Video yetVery funny.
Haha, thank you 😂
Was this not the LWA festival 2023?? 😂 Your videos just keep getting better, well done mate 👌
🤔 Was LWAFest 23 this dry? 😅
My second one this year, I saw you there with the dog ( sorry don't know his / her name ) hope to see you there again.
Nice! The dogs name is Dave 😅
Excellent name
I might have to do it did Dragon and Bruce pollards this year so why not tick the bucket list
Exactly...why not 😬👌🏻
Looking forward to this one, never been.
It's an "interesting" event 😅
It was so interesting that we can't wait to go again 😂
Balls to that, but we'll done for doing it👍 Done the DR Big rally in Germany which was fun and better conditions. Hate camping in the mud 😒.
Yeah, mud is zero fun to camp in. Weirdly, it wasn't too bad in the tent 🤷🏻♂️. No idea how we managed that 😅
Great stuff ! I’ve always been intrigued … maybe one day.
Where was the 1970s hotel ? Almost worth a road trip in its own right 🤣
Just on the outskirts of Stuttgart, it's was priceless 😅👌🏻
Where's Jamie gone?
Nowhere, we're still doing most things together!
Final young padowan a true adventurer. It's all in the head.
Haha, I've finally graduated 😂
I’ve done the Elefant twice - once in the snow, and another muddy one, but the mud was nothing like the mud in your video - fuck that!
😂 That last line seems to sum up most people's opinion too 😂
You could summarize Elefantentreffen as a mix of Dumb and Dumber and Mad Max with a bit of Mud Wrestling Queens thrown in ;-)
I love biking, I love camping, I love adventure.....but I'm not a fan of mud and misery. That's a big NOPE for me.
😂 Fair enough mate, it won't be for everyone, that's for sure
