that can't be happening here. Not only is he not trying in the second round (which you would need to do to make the game last longer) but you just CAN'T make that happen in a control point map. Probably just deranking.
Honestly there should just be a simple system that detects if you have under 10% of average lobby stats and continuously commit unforced self elim, you should just get automatically banned. It really isn't hard to detect, I mean they have very intricate and specific systems already implemented in the game to detect how people die when they go off the map, who hit them last, what actions were taken prior to death, etc. Just insta ban them, no reason to wait for reports. If people are genuinely so bad that they trigger such a system by accident, then they really shouldn't be playing comp multiplayer in the first place anyways.
60% of my bronze games have leavers. It’s really frustrating because I wanna climb, but I can’t when I lose almost every game due to leavers. Unfortunately I’ve never gone against a nice enemy team when I have leavers so there’s not even a chance to win
That's unbelievably common in Bronze, the instant the game looks like it isn't a trivial win, they just give up and spend the whole game raging, or playing to lose or throw the game to try to make everyone else's effort worthless.
Oh you have no idea how common this is, and probably the reason so many people are kind of stuck in bronze. If I don't have at least 1 leaver in a ranked game, that is rarity at this point lol.
To any bronze player support , play Moira ,heal but do alot damage , you will climb out . Mercy is tough because you need to rely on teammates in bronze and powerboost doesn’t have its value
yesss god the only way i could get out of bronze was through playing moira, it was so frustratingly boring but those players need the massive heals and extra damage desperately
@@totakkeagiraffe that was my strat too. Did get boring but I had the advantage of loving how petty her character is and liking her voice actor’s work so it wasn’t completely tear inducing lol
as a hardstuck gold support, comp is rough man. I'm lucky if i manage to not get more losses then wins because of leavers, throwers, or smurfs. and the games i do win feel like i have to go 250% tryhard mode, which is crazy considering i'm in gold.
This was the wholesome game I’ve seen in while. Only game more wholesome I’ve ever been in was during battle for olympus where someone said in chat that they were there only to grind for the titles, I revealed that I was there to grind for the Mercy skin, and somebody else also revealed that they were grinding for something too. The 3 of us then started colluding to help each other grind and then the rest of the lobby joined too. It was after that game that I got the last win I needed for the Mercy skin, and the next qp match I played, I got POTG as Mercy for rezzing my tank and getting a triple kill in valk.
kinda looked like it was 1 person playing 2 accounts, running the 76 off the map to keep him from being afk removed and doing the bare minimum on the ash, hopefully their crappy pc crashed from playing 2 overwatches at once and that's why they left
I def like the enemy team for making it fair. Ive had too many matches where enemy starts spawn camping when my team loses players. Honeslty imo it is pretty pathetic bc the other team doesnt have any chance.
I've always felt like giving teams a buff if they have leavers could make this kinda situation at least somewhat manageable. Like give them more hp and ult generation or something like that, which kicks in upon someone leaving, and goes away if they come back
pretty good idea!!! but i dont think giving the team that's down ult charge would be the play because they will be getting ults faster anyway due to the other team having more players
@@endless_del in my experience it doesn't work that way. If you're down a man, usually you have to play more defensive, and don't even deal say, four enemies worth of damage before the enemy team does. Still, if they got other buffs, that might change
Change my mind: If someone leaves a game, you shouldnt rank down for it. The only time where you can clutch a 4v5 is A) you all have ults B) The enemy team just sucks so bad edit: shouldnt*
It's pretty hard situation. When OW team do that, there will be more toxicity then before (where is more?). How other games do that: They gave a penalty, where they lose more, then they lose the game. Everyone else if they leave, they lose the game. But they still can win this if they lucky enough
Nah, duos or trios can exploit this. “Oh, we’re losing, quickly one of you leave” and then they can just take turns doing this over and over with very little,e consequence.
The issue with that idea is that it incentivizes being incredibly toxic to your teammates when winning seems impossible, so that you can hopefully bully someone on your team into leaving so that you can avoid losing SR. Even if you make it so that if someone in a party leaves, then the whole party loses SR for the loss, it incentivizes the entire party to gang up on the other players on their team and bully them out of the lobby. It is overall better to just have harsher penalties for leavers, especially by banning them and/or making them lose more rating. I think a good change would be to base it on the progress of the match when the leaver actually leaves, so that the SR loss to their teammates is less if the leaver leaves early, but don't decrease SR loss for party members who joined the match with the leaver.
The most wholesome enemy team in all of overwatch has arrived, and proved themselves to be the best overwatch comp players out there. No one in top 500 could ever compare to what they did here. Legends.
YES, this happens literally every day. I am trying to get out of bronze and i know i have the skill to be in a higher tier but keep having teammates throw the game!
How did he not get kicked for inactivity? Especially on round 2 where he jumped off the map next to spawn. God, i hate people like these. But really wholesome enemy team ❤
Strangely enough not only bronze has these issues. Today went to arcade to get those wins for weekly challenge and tank player with literal 'top 500 flag bearer' as their title just threw the game completely
To be fair, that's also just arcade so it doesn't REALLY matter, versus this is a comp match where rank would be affected. Still annoying and a douchey move nonetheless.
I went through the same thing like this and at the end of the match he/her posted something in chat promoting something I don’t remember what but it is nice to see that I’m not the only one who had to go through this.
Yes, I've seen a few games where someone was throwing like that. In fact, I've had a game where an entire team just ran off the bridge in front of the starting spawn on Rialto.
I've had several bronze comp games like this and the throwers were all Soldiers. The worst was on Gibraltar Payload Push when I was tanking and watched this thrower Soldier do nothing but run for healthpacks and not interact with the enemy at all. I got some picks but it was still 4v5 basically, whatever picks I got or space I made was never capitalized on because of no DPS and we were getting spawn camped by the end of the round.
This isn't just bronze comp issues. I'm on console, and while I can't speak about higher ranks, up to diamond I'd say almost 80% of my matches have a thrower/leaver. I stopped playing comp close to two months ago because I had 5 matches in a row where someone on my team would leave, even when we're winning. The punishment for leaving needs to be more severe in comp.
I literally dealt with this like a week ago or so in UNRANKED but it was on the enemy team, I felt so bad cus the person that was throwing didn’t even try to deal any damage or anything. All of their stats were 0 except for their deaths, very boring to play against and super unfair to their teammates! 🤦🏻♀️
I’m in bronze you definitely deal with this kinda stuff. The other day the tank on the enemy team dominated the first round then the second round just stopped playing and basically let us win
its nice that these big steamers are finally accepting what bronze people deal with constantly. Maybe people will start to understand why its so hard to get out of bronze. Getting from gold to plat isnt that hard. The problem is just making it out of bronze.
Since most people don't place bronze after placements, its really easy to undermine how much throwing there is in bronze. At least that's how i remember it. Might be wrong
I'm not completely certain because of the view switching constantly, but was it possible that someone was trying to play both the Soldier and Ash at the same time?
We need to find a way to ban these people from the game just in general. If youre going to throw like this, especially in comp, you should be banned. But games like this happen a lot in metal ranks. Im in high gold and even when placed in plat lobbies this same thing happens
I saw such throwing with a Junkrat player on the Samoa map, as he kept throwing himself off the map. Guess who ended up on my Avoid as a Teammate list? And kudos not just to Mercy's Sigma teammate, but to the enemy team as well.
I guess that's what happens when you get stuck in a rank that's literally the bottom of the barrel... All the worst players end up there, sometimes they're doing their best, which is great, and they'll climb eventually. And other times it's just the worst kind of player imaginable...
This crap is 100% what happens in low bronze (4/5). It took me 2 months to dig my way out on DPS. Game after game of throwers, quitters, and crappy teammates. People actually told me i deserve my rank and thats why im there despite carrying my team almost every game. One day I got lucky and hit bronze 2, where there was significantly less crappy teammates, and over the next 2 weeks quickly went up to high plat. Im stuck here but now its a skill issue.
i had a game where our tank fed and died within the first 15 seconds and refused to play after. we only won cause the enemy mercy was being toxic to her other support so they threw and left
Oh God, I had 2 games with this guy as tank in February, they immediately switched to ball and started rolling around spawn after the first team fight in both games. I have no idea how he got to be a gold tank Both teams reported him right away but I guess he either didn't get banned or made an alt account
I really hope the entire red team, the blue Moira, Mercy/Ana, and especially the sweet Sigma who tried his best get best of luck in their games! The 2 leavers should step on Legos though.
This is pretty common, in Bronze, Silver , Gold and Even Platinum, the ranks that I usually play. If the tank suicide dive, and other people that like to play 1 X 5, they just start complaint and ruim the match, and I am talking about competitive play. Not mentioned the Battle Mercy, and similar
sometime i got thrower for no reason, or leaver. somebody leave after first round while we were winning and we lost or just leave for no reason. even more lost when it,s the tank to leave. i got a smurf account yesterday in my game and he started throwing when we were started to lose. thrower are horrible, even more when it's the tank
one time my team won a 3v5 on junkertown. After a pretty good push where we captured in overtime, the opposing team rolled us until nearly the end. As wrecking ball I was able to stall them until overtime before they captured. For some reason, despite the fact that we were even in score, one of our dps was so triggered by the rolling that he quit outright. With 4 people we managed to push until just past the 1st point. Then, after the allotted time, the second dps left. Our lucio asked for a 1v1 with their lucio. They pretended to grant it but as soon as their lucio hit critical, the team dog piled on ours. We decided to take revenge. While they pushed to 1st point I kept pile driving and leaving until I built mines. Then, right before they reached the same spot we stopped, I dropped the mines. Everyone but the Hog either died or stepped off point or was bumped off point or into the mines by our lucio. Finally, hog hooked me and start his ultimate. When I hid behind a corner he followed me to continue his ultimate and C9nd the point.
It happend a lot. Inclusive it made myself selflock in bronze 5 on tank . After more than 10 battles i lost because of this shit i droped once when the team was already lost a battle and other guy on team quit too and they never let me go up again. Still playng... i win when a have a decent team but never go up.
today i had a game in Havanna, i typed in chat how much i hate that map, and the whole lobby agreed with me, we were literally goofing around instead of playing the game, it ended in a draw
Lots of people like to throw games to stay in bronze and play against people with lower skill level than them just to feel like they are good at the game. There are also the people who sell boosts and need to drop rank to bronze to do that
see how soldier stopped throwing himself out of the map and instead decided to give enemy team ult charge? His team won second round so he tries to help out enemy team
I’m silver, chose mercy this round and told the team I believed in us, our tank then said “a mercy would say that stfu” then ran in circles in spawn all game. Needless to say we lost🙃

I guarantee that soldier really thought they were being such a troll and 'owning' their team the entire time
To any bronze player support , play Moira ,heal but do alot damage , you will climb out .
As a former Bronze this is the least of Bronze issues
very ommon for throwers, rare for enemy team to actually be willing to make it even
I def like the enemy team for making it fair. Ive had too many matches where enemy starts spawn camping when my team loses players. Honeslty imo it is pretty pathetic bc the other team doesnt have any chance.
I had a game the other day where my entire team left and I couldn't even exit spawn to chill without being domed by a Hanzo 🥲
And then they type ez in chat. Like, it's not hard to win when you're a player up. But I guess they need that ego boost cause they're pretty sad irl
@@nemebliss it is so pathetic and sad that they have this desperate need for the GG EZ too 💀
@@liathedoll pr when you win a round and then 99% the other two round then they pop the gg ez yall trash get good 💀💀💀easiest game of my life
Oh and they spawn camp you with perfect ult gen so like every fight the can nano terrain surge you whole team I would have experience with that😢
I've always felt like giving teams a buff if they have leavers could make this kinda situation at least somewhat manageable.
@@skinnysnorlax1876 yeah if they get buffs like more health, they cant also get increased ult charge.
between the throwers and the leavers... bronze is hell... getting out of b5 especially was like pulling teeth with how often people do stuff like this
Change my mind:
If someone leaves a game, you shouldnt rank down for it.
The only time where you can clutch a 4v5 is A) you all have ults B) The enemy team just sucks so bad
edit: shouldnt*
It's pretty hard situation. When OW team do that, there will be more toxicity then before (where is more?).
How other games do that:
They gave a penalty, where they lose more, then they lose the game.
Everyone else if they leave, they lose the game. But they still can win this if they lucky enough
Nah, duos or trios can exploit this. “Oh, we’re losing, quickly one of you leave” and then they can just take turns doing this over and over with very little,e consequence.
@@divisiona3974 a leaving solo player gets a loss, the rest of the team don't, while still exploitable, it's harder to exploit
This is the sad reality in OW2.. One can only hope that muppet got perma banned later..
also is it possible to ban the ashe and soldier players ? Would be nice to have 2 less throwers in the game.
Last time i got this unlucky the enemy team just rolled us onto infinity and beyond. It's nice to see the kindness of the team in the video.
would've been fun if someone used lifeweaver to pull the soldier back
And a mei to wall off the edge of map 😂
First round:
Soldier doing tactical reset.
Ashe having seizures mid fight.
Enemy pharah actually abusing Mercy.
This will be a fun game
Unfortunately something like this happens in 30% of Bronze games
I literally dealt with this like a week ago or so in UNRANKED but it was on the enemy team, I felt so bad cus the person that was throwing didn’t even try to deal any damage or anything. All of their stats were 0 except for their deaths, very boring to play against and super unfair to their teammates! 🤦🏻♀️
Ballons td6 music for the ending was great 👍
I’m in bronze you definitely deal with this kinda stuff.
I'm not completely certain because of the view switching constantly, but was it possible that someone was trying to play both the Soldier and Ash at the same time?
gonna start chillin when the enemy team has throwers now
We need to find a way to ban these people from the game just in general. If youre going to throw like this, especially in comp, you should be banned. But games like this happen a lot in metal ranks. Im in high gold and even when placed in plat lobbies this same thing happens
Yeah, over 50% of my comp looks like this. Either troll, thrower or leaver.
I saw such throwing with a Junkrat player on the Samoa map, as he kept throwing himself off the map. Guess who ended up on my Avoid as a Teammate list?
And kudos not just to Mercy's Sigma teammate, but to the enemy team as well.
as a plat/diamond player, i get a thrower(wether intentionally, or unintentionally) throwing every other game tbh lol
Where do I find these wholesome games?
Awesome from the other team to play this way. Good on them. 5 stars all round
I guess that's what happens when you get stuck in a rank that's literally the bottom of the barrel... All the worst players end up there, sometimes they're doing their best, which is great, and they'll climb eventually. And other times it's just the worst kind of player imaginable...
the music from Bloons made me pausing video to check if I have open game xD
This crap is 100% what happens in low bronze (4/5). It took me 2 months to dig my way out on DPS. Game after game of throwers, quitters, and crappy teammates. People actually told me i deserve my rank and thats why im there despite carrying my team almost every game. One day I got lucky and hit bronze 2, where there was significantly less crappy teammates, and over the next 2 weeks quickly went up to high plat. Im stuck here but now its a skill issue.
A lot of throwers are smurfs ensuring they stay low, afk and feeding is probably only a 12 hour ban because it's done so frequently
i had a game where our tank fed and died within the first 15 seconds and refused to play after. we only won cause the enemy mercy was being toxic to her other support so they threw and left
Ive had a comp game in tank before where my support went afk with an auto clicker and came back after we almost lost which was minutes later
Oh God, I had 2 games with this guy as tank in February, they immediately switched to ball and started rolling around spawn after the first team fight in both games. I have no idea how he got to be a gold tank
Both teams reported him right away but I guess he either didn't get banned or made an alt account
Because most likely he is a smurf and played tank for fast ques in quick play meaning his mmr on tank would be around goldish.
Literally how my OverWatch games went two days ago. Every game a troll. I’m taking a break lol
there be some sweaty games in low elos and u happen to have a teammate who is clueless giving the enemy a free win bc our team is a bot lmao
The thumbnail goes hard
I really hope the entire red team, the blue Moira, Mercy/Ana, and especially the sweet Sigma who tried his best get best of luck in their games! The 2 leavers should step on Legos though.
common sigma player w
When I hid behind a corner he followed me to continue his ultimate and C9nd the point.
it is very common to see game sabotage from diamond and below. they blame otrhers for being bad so they start suiciding
This Ana hits shot better than I can 😂
I like the bloons music
It happend a lot. Inclusive it made myself selflock in bronze 5 on tank . After more than 10 battles i lost because of this shit i droped once when the team was already lost a battle and other guy on team quit too and they never let me go up again. Still playng... i win when a have a decent team but never go up.
enemy team were chads fr
Chad Sigma
that rank always amazes me
As a mercy main this season I will sadly say I’m having the hardest time ranking up because of this and I’m in high gold low plat lobbies
today i had a game in Havanna, i typed in chat how much i hate that map, and the whole lobby agreed with me, we were literally goofing around instead of playing the game, it ended in a draw
Bronze throwing is pretty common. All because the team comp wasn't to their liking
Yeh, good call, E. I will often hang back if the other team get's a scumbag leaver. Don't be ThaT guy!
I think this Happenens the Most on High Silver... Because i find them alot if im in Silver 2~
I’m silver, chose mercy this round and told the team I believed in us, our tank then said “a mercy would say that stfu” then ran in circles in spawn all game. Needless to say we lost🙃
My fav game ever or on of em atleast was when it was a 4v5 cause we hada throwing torb in control and we won the first round second round he kept throwing even more and when we got point he just straight up left and we won the game LIKE HOW
