Tips and assembly of our new Frontier OS27 Sawmill

This is a video with some tips, information, and observations I learned while assembling our new Frontier OS 27 Sawmill. We live in the Pacific North West (PNW) on the Olympic Peninsula near Joyce Washington. We have about 10 acres with a lot of Western Red Cedar, Red Alder, maple, some fir and some spruce that we want to use for wood projects. With the cost of wood products about to increase dramatically, I decided to use what is in our back yard and save some money. With the cost of imported stuff about to increase, I also decided to buy this machine before the end of 2024.

I have the same sawmill and it’s awesome. I've used the logs off our property for so many projects. Just be sure to stack and sticker every piece. I even have a band 11:08 sharpener and tooth setter.

I hear ya on stack and sticker. I thought about getting a band sharpener but they are kind of spendy. I want to see if someone in the area sharpens them for reasonable cost first. There seems to be some reasonably priced manual tooth setter tools tho so that would be easily doable.
