That Scotty 2500 is pretty sweet but it's a bit of a big bucks even excluding the base. My right shoulder is blown, so I'm in the process of building one.
Do you have any power issues using that pot puller? Blown fuses, overheating, etc? Just curious as I can't decide between the FishPro Sport or Trophy as the Trophy has more power. I also want to use a Scotty downrigger.
Tbh I don't have any fuses between the battery and the pot puller. The battery only goes to the pot puller so I don't worry about electrical problems. I have not had any issues with the pot puller and highly recommend it.
@@AuSableAngler You can catch glimpses of it but I have a garden tractor 12v battery (lawnmower size) in a wooden box hanging on the back of the cooler. It's all backyardish stuff to make it work.
Can you post some photo's of your pulling set up please. I would like to see how you mount the puller and your power source. Thanks in advance. Also part numbers from Scottys. Im in Australia and there's no retailers here so I'll have to order on line.
I use a 20 year old DUI trilaminate and it works great. It becomes more of a layer management so I don't get to hot inside but can get to cold with no layers.
Hull is pretty tuff but I just try to be mindful of it. There is a device on the fishpro on the hull that looks like some kind of stabilizer fin that also protects the hull towards the back.
Thanks for showing us how to do it. You're the man
Wow, this is EPIC!! Never seen this done on a PWC!!! Looking forward to watching more of your content!

@@rscuatc1 thanks. Is it the Seadoos battery or did you add one on?

Dude hell yeah! Seadoo fishing
what dry suit are you using and do you like it?

Jim, what is the mount that you use for the Scotty puller?
Scotty #1028 Gimbal Mount (9-Inches) from Amazon. I had to drill a hole in the rod holder to put a metal screw through to hold the mount in position.
@@rscuatc1 Thanks, sir!
@@rscuatc1 1208 has a slanted tube. Yours looks straight. Did you modify it? Or did you slant the rod holder?
@@deplorablechump8758 That rod holder is slanted on the front of the cooler.
@@deplorablechump8758 That rod holder is slanted and on the front of the cooler. It just looks vertical from the camera angle.
Aren’t you concerned about scratching the hull with the pot? 😬

@@rscuatc1 I would hang a rubber mat on the side.
