After enjoying years of success, widely regarded as the best Counter-Strike team of all time, Astralis experienced several years of lackluster performance. We join the team on a defining January morning when they kick off 2023 with one clear purpose: To get back on top.
Following some intense months the team are faced with the biggest challenge of the year: The qualification for the last CS:GO Major ever. But even before the games begin, things start to take a turn, as dev1ce, the team's star player, is hit by illness. - Ігри

I’m not trying to be negative around here but I hope to give some criticism, cause I like the documentary. But I get the sort of feeling from watching this, that Astralis has lost the touch of what it means to be a “gamer” and how you deal with them. Stress and worries kills everything. It’s basically the worst disease that can happen to a team. I feel like a good organization would create a bubble around the players, the coaches and maybe - in this case - a mental coach. And that’s it. Keep the marketing folks and directors on the outside of this bubble, and the only way in should be through the coach, as it’s his main job that the players thrive, so he would know how to pass news to the team in a sensible way. Telling Glaive he would be dumped - and even by the sports director and the ANALYST in this case? - is the opposite of this. That screams amateur, and how not to handle a “gamer”. It’s basically a death sentence, and that an esports organization doesn’t realize this is mind blowing to me. I’m not surprised where Hvidt and Hunden are today, but it’s sad that Glaive had to join their fall.
They should in my opinion stop sending them on tours around Denmark, stop creating documentaries around the players and let the coach handle it. Just let the players do what they love, which is play CS. If they have fun outside of the server, they have fun on the server, and if they have fun on the server they create magic.
I couldn't agree more! Players should play stress-free and don't get that much pressure, especially if the pressure doesn't make the team thrive and win, it will lead to their downfall. If you see TI winners from Dota2, they're mentally very strong because they're just enjoying the game and this "dont give a fuck" mentality what leads them to win and play better.
I agree, most orgs don't have this level of player involvement outside the game, and I feel like it gets to the players.
thats very true & whats supposedly been done but in reality,they will still need to involve their directors and marketing folks. all of it is for sponsor and investors. Without sponsors or investors most of esports org will die and vanish just like that because they cant sustain the cost to operate the org because as we already know,running esports orgs is hella expensive.
Thats the reality of capitalistic system. Sad
