@@solomonreid7900 Ok, I know this is a comment from a lot of time ago but I wanted to catch up on one piece before answering and then I just forgot, so let's start. I want to apologize for my bad english, I can pretty much talk fluently but if I have to write large pieces of text I'll commit a lot of mistakes, so sorry about that. First of all saying things like you are wrong, the fandom doesn't understand one piece and I will teach them is nothing more than a condescending commentary, there is nothing more stupid in this world than saying that your interpretation of art is the only one valid (I am not saying that you are stupid or anything, I am just saying that the most beatiful thing about art is it's infinite possible interpretations). Now about the whole Luffy is a hero thing, I think first we would have to define what a hero is, but basically we could say that someone is a hero only if other people call him a hero, in that case Luffy is a hero, however, I think what defines Luffy is how he says and acts based only in his personal interests, this could sound stupid so let me explain myself, basically a lot of time we see how Luffy does stupid and careless things putting in danger and worring his nakamas, of course, he cares about them and he helps them and a lot of people, but that only happens because he wants to help them, wich sounds obvious, everyone does what they do because they want to, but Luffy is specially caracterized with that aspect, in fact, when Luffy helps someone he always does it harming others, wich isn't bad, it's just that for example, in Dressrosa the Strawhats defeated Doflamingo in order to save the country and it's people, however there were some thousands of soldiers in Doffy's army, wich will all lose it's job and a lot of them died, that's not bad, it's just that the straw hats decided that it was better that other than letting Doflamingo continue his government, and yeah, Doflamingo was a dictator that would end up basically conquering the world, but let's take a look on Whole Cake Island Arc, in wich Luffy and the Straw Hats just invade a whole country, provoke a lot of catastrophes that would end up harming a lot of people, they also weakened Totto land's military power by killing a lot of soldiers and it's very likely that a lot of civils died during that arc, only to save sanji from a familiar situation, wich again isn't bad, it's just that it wasn't in Luffy's interest to not harm the country, in fact it was important to provoke some of that catastrophes like Big Mom's enragement to escape and save Sanji. Luffy may be a hero for a lot of people, but a monster for others, in the same way as Garp is a hero for the marine and a great threat for the mayority of the pirates, what I think Luffy's character represents is the maximum expression of the human being, a pattern that we can see in One Piece villains is how they limit other people's freedom, that's why a lot of times Luffy wants to defeat this villains, because he thinks the only way a human being can live is freely, he thinks that the human nature is to live in freedom, that's why he is the maximum expression of that, of freedom, that's why I think he isn't brave or a hero, he just pursues his and other's people's freedom, wich again, is only his way of thinking about how the human being should live, that's why he punishes people that try to go against that freedom. I could explain this a lot more but I am honestly tired of writing a youtube commentary lmao, still this is only my way of seeing it and it was really interesting to read yours as well
The most crazy part is that Luffy archived his goal..well almost. He freed Ace. A little Rookie who was not at all ready to fight the big names made them look like a fool. He freed Ace and they would have made it out alive when Ace wouldn’t have been so stupid. He was only a second commander. How the did he think he would stand a chance against an admiral. After egghead we all know how powerful admirals really are.
I started one piece because of this OST after a year and some months watching 474 episodes I can proudly say I’ve reached the checkpoint I was looking for
The thing that makes this scene so epic is that during that time luffy couldn't even scratch smoker but here stood TALL before THREE FREAKING ADMIRALS!
i really like this song because even though it gives epic emotions, it's not an epicness of powerful hero or incoming powerful move, it gives the feeling that you're the UNDERDOG and this is the last stand, actually more like a fight that you have to do and you have to win, no other choice, no escape point. for me, the name of this song is really; "YOU ARE NOT READY FOR THIS STAGE"
This symbolizes a whole journey from hope to grief from vigour to emptiness from determination to despair this soundtrack is the epitome of Oda's writing at the time and makes us feel exactly how we should feel tense but hopeful. Peak just simply peak.
I loved that moment in the show, and this heroic OST was absolutely perfect for it! Luffy knew he was no where near the level of those admirals when it came to strength and powers, but he never gave up on trying! It just shows how sometimes skill and strength aren't enough! Sometimes you need to DIG DEEP and find the HEART and COURAGE to stand in the face of adversity even if you're uncertain of the outcome! Freaking Luffy, man.. What a character!
Justin Barretto Katakuri is still stonger then him, and he got oneshoted by Kaido, he was never a yonko sl stop that bullshit only because morgan that fanboy told so in his newsletter
Its been years and this song still gives me goosebumps. Of the 10x I've rewatched one piece, I've only seen the war twice (first time + one rewatch) because my heart couldn't take it - and I wanted it to still feel magical years later. I watched it again recently because my boyfriend finally gave One Piece a chance and this scene felt as amazing as it did the first time I watched it. Truly one of the best arcs
Luffy actually pulled up on three Admirals like it was nothing! Thats real gangsta. Imagine Naruto pulling up on Pain pre timeskip or Goku pulling up on Frieza pre saiyan Saga. Luffy knew He couldn't win at the time but He was courageous!
You've made my friends cry, endangered my nakama And yet you refuse to fall, so i'll shoulder all the responsibility I wont let a single person die You and your bird cage are the damn thorn in my side GEAR 4TH!!!!!!!!!!
I loved this part in the anime. Luffy against an opponent he has no chance of beating all to save his brother who isn't even his real brother. Pretty freaking awesome Luffy is! :)
Here, a teenage boy faces three powers that each surpass his own. His grandfather? Conflicted over duty vs family. His crew? Nowhere to be found. His chances of winning? Nearly zero. Does he know this? Yes. But Luffy didn't care, he just knew that three men stood between him and his big brother's survival, and he was gonna do whatever he could to save him, even if it meant death for him. That's why Luffy's one of my favorite shonen MC's.
This is the theme that you play when your main character stands up on the feet nearly dead, but in his/her eyes you can see that he is determined to beat the enemy that is 10x stronger than him.
Kuzan, a man destined for greatness that the world tossed aside for the sake of control. Borsalino, a friendly man turn apathetic for his position on the hierarchy. Sakazuki, a bitter man, with huge distaste for any and all things marked with the skulls and crossbones. Issho, a kind man destined to fight, yet has not once let go of his kindness for others. Ryokugyu, a hateful man blinded by propaganda and fanatism that cares little for the people forgotten by the world. Sengoku, a man that lived by and for his position yet only wanted to obtain freedom and reach enlightment. Garp, a man that will not fight if not for his own freedom, power and joy, yet chained to a position undeserving of his time and talent. Koby...

I started one piece because of this OST after a year and some months watching 474 episodes I can proudly say I’ve reached the checkpoint I was looking for
Wow a year. It took me about 5-6 months of binge watching to get to 1000

i really like this song because even though it gives epic emotions, it's not an epicness of powerful hero or incoming powerful move, it gives the feeling that you're the UNDERDOG and this is the last stand, actually more like a fight that you have to do and you have to win, no other choice, no escape point.
for me, the name of this song is really; "YOU ARE NOT READY FOR THIS STAGE"
Exactly why I LOVE this ost cuz I can personally relate 💯
To me it sounds more like "YOU ARE NOT READY FOR THIS STAGE BUT REALLY DON'T CARE YOU WILL PUNCH LITERALLY ANYTHING AT THIS POINT".

Even an emperor will not think of fighting the three admirals at the Same time luffy what a chad
This symbolizes a whole journey from hope to grief from vigour to emptiness from determination to despair this soundtrack is the epitome of Oda's writing at the time and makes us feel exactly how we should feel tense but hopeful.
Peak just simply peak.
Me after finally building up enough courage to enter my room and confront the spider on my wall.

Its been years and this song still gives me goosebumps. I loved this part in the anime. Luffy against an opponent he has no chance of beating all to save his brother who isn't even his real brother. Pretty freaking awesome Luffy is! :)
lol Dijar Vs Neo
Here, a teenage boy faces three powers that each surpass his own.
His grandfather? Conflicted over duty vs family.
His crew? Nowhere to be found.
His chances of winning? Nearly zero.
Does he know this? Yes.
But Luffy didn't care, he just knew that three men stood between him and his big brother's survival, and he was gonna do whatever he could to save him, even if it meant death for him.
That's why Luffy's one of my favorite shonen MC's.

Ryokugyu, a hateful man blinded by propaganda and fanatism that cares little for the people forgotten by the world.

Luffy facing 3 admirals and zoro walking into Luffy's pain bubble are easily those of the manliest Anime scenes ever.
