And 13 years later, he is inducted into Heaven. What a wonderful tribute to his testimony and music career. But the real tribute to his life is the lives of people who have been changed and ministered to by him and his ministry.
My 3rd time seeing Mylon & Broken Heart was at Atlanta Fest '88. As my friends and I were heading to the food pavilion we realized Mylon was walking towards us. He said, "Hey, guys, how are you doing?" All 3 of us replied and he was nice enough to spend the next 15 minutes chatting with us. What an awesome dude.
My first time enjoying Mylon was his concert in Atlanta was his Alive Alive concert back in 80 or 81 I think. The next time I seen him was at the Son Festival in Myrtle Beach South Carolina back in 82. After he left the stage I followed him to his tent and we fellowship for at least 15 minutes. He is the deal.God is good all the time and every day.
Just learned the news. God bless his family and all who really knew him, and I look forward to getting to know him when I bid this old world goodbye. Love you, Brother.
I always loved Mylon Lefevre and Broken Heart. I saw them twice in concert. It was a blast! Praise God that he is heaven rejoicing in Jesus! In this video I notice Newsboys inducting Mylon to the Gospel Hall of Fame. Knowing that Peter Feurler is the son in law to Mylon. Marrying Mylon's daughter.
I found out about Mylon LeFevre's passing today, and this shook me to my core. He lived a full life dedicating to spreading the word of God ever since the 60s. R.I.P. Mylon LeFevre (October 6, 1944 - September 8, 2023) 😔😔😟😟💔💔♥️♥️🕊️🕊️✝️✝️🎵🙏🙏
First time I heard this version of Gospel Ship was at North Cleveland Church of God way back in the day when Mylon and the band came to a Sunday night service. I loved every moment if it! I know it shocked a lot of our very conservative members, but it was so honest and so real and so full of Jesus. I immediately bought a tape of the service for myself and my best friend Sandra, and we played them incessantly. We were them out! Jesus music! So very powerful and so very true! Life altering.
Larry Norman and Randy Stonehill took the biggest hits from the church, back in the early seventies. Churches would book them on sound only, but when they showed up with long hair, they were shown the door. Mr Billy Graham fought them daily, but he saw Soul's lighting up for Jesus Christ 🤔😁😉 Well, you know the rest 😉 Just a little bit longer, and soon we'll be going Home 🙏 Viva Cristo Rey 💪🙏
The local Christian band I was in at the time, used to do a cover of Mylon's version of Gospel Ship. His music ministered to us as we traveled the back roads of Texas to the next Revival, Concert or Youth Camp we were singing at. Excellent song writer, but what really impressed me was seeing them in Concert on the Crack The Sky tour. When he spoke after the music ended and spent almost as much time preaching as they did singing. God truly Blessed me through his ministry.
I have had the honor and blessing to have experienced ML every Monday night at Mount Paron Church of God in Atlanta GA. It was the early 80's and I would see him with his cleaning cart and mop bucket all around the church grounds. Super Cool person and on Monday or Tuesday he and Broken/Sacred Heart would preform. What a gift to be there. Seen them many, many times.
I didn't get a chance to see you in concert, but my husband introduced me to your music. Your song warrior really touched my heart. Thank you for sharing your God given talent with the world. God bless you and your family!
Mylon's bandmates lived at the apartment complex i was living at back then. Super Way Cool Folks 👍 See them at our apartment house pool when they weren't touring. Mylon in a Speedo, we were All Much Younger and Dumber back then. Tubing down the Chattahoochee was a blast. Good People ✌️
I love Mylon and Broken Heart!!! The first Christian band I listened to after I accepted Jesus as my Savior. About two weeks after I got saved I got to see them in concert. Then I got to see them two more times in concert. Thank you Mylon for the great music. You are loved and missed. R.I.P.
Mylon LeFevre and Broken Heart are the best and always will be. Love you, Mylon and God bless you and your family and also, God bless Broken Heart and their families. Keep on following Jesus.
This award was way overdue. Mylon and Broken Heart ministered to thousands of young (and old, like me). The first time I heard his music my heart was indeed broken and tears came and wouldn't stop. Mylon's music truly saved my life at one of the worst periods in my life and saved my teenage son as well. I remember sending him a letter 30 years ago recounting his impact on our lives. God bless you, Mylon and thank you for allowing God to use you.
Glory glory glory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All PRAISES TO OUR KING AND LORD JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless those who have their feet grounded in THE ROCK JESUS~~ and our names on the Roll
Amen to that Phil Baker! You took the words right out of my mouth. I can't express how important Mylons music was to me as a teenager/young adult growing up.
This band in the power of God that's within him change a whole lot of life back in the eighties I was a youth pastor I must have took my youth program to see him at least four times he played a lot of music any talk a whole lot about Jesus all the way to the concert Jesus was a main subject I wish the rest of the gospel singers would take him as an example thank you my love for everything that you did and everything that you do for the Gospel of Jesus Christ
...big, big Encouragement to me during those Formative Young Adult Yrs. Saw him 3x's in the 80's. BTW, that's Peter Furler (w/the Skullcap) former lead singer for the Newsboys...Now Mylon's Son-in-Law. NJOY!!!
YOUR MINISTRY HAS BEEN HUGE IN ME COMING TO THE LORD AND MY CONTINUING WALK WITH THE LORD....IT USED TO BE LIKE A REVIVAL FOR ME EVERY YEAR WHEN YOU AND BROKEN HEART CAME TO BIRMINGHAM,AL....PLEASE ROUND UP THE BEST OF THE 80'S SHOWS AND PUT OUT A DVD FOR ALL US 40 PLUS YEAR OLD ROCKIN' MYLON FANS OUT HERE...I ALSO LOVED THE PRAISE AND WORSHIP SECTION THAT YOU HAD IN EVERY SHOW....THE HOLY SPIRIT REALLY MOVED IN THOSE SHOWS....PLEASE TRY AND DO A DVD!!!!! LOVE FOREVER Phil Baker
I've played in a church, once, where the biggest response was an old dude tapping his finger on the seatback next to him. Offering was good though. lol
What a shame he didnt bring his band on for the award and performance. They are the ones who were cleaning toilets with him and practicing in the church gym back in the day. They are the ones who's families sacrificed to "get there". Mylon never had loyalty to anyone but himself. I was there. I know.
Mylon will be greatly missed!
And 13 years later, he is inducted into Heaven.
