- Pleasantly surprised with this offering from Launch, worked flawlessly on my 2010 Range Rover 3.6 TDV8. Communicated with all systems, a lot of bi-directional control and best of all, free updates for life.

Yet another diagnostic scan tool, this one might just be worth the money, especially with free updates for life.
Just arrived, seems to be a good bit of kit. Will not replace the GAP IID I already have , but will have to see if it works on D2 TD5 and V8s plus Defenders & Freelanders, as could be very useful to take on greenlaning trips as a quick rest tool and check if the dreaded 3 amigos' appear.
For lawyers, "for life" has a completely different meaning than for "mortals".
For example, in many places "for life" means the life cycle of an instrument. But the life cycle of an instrument can be specified as 3 years, for example. "for life" = 3 years.
Yet again you have made me spend this weeks pocket money....LOL, Cheers
Sorry, I cannot be held accountable for your spending splurges, at the moment mine seems to be plumbing, log splitter and dehumidifier. So you got off lightly. 😂
Not to shabby! Can you have more than one Land Rover on it, say a 322 and a D2? You seem so chill with al your faults that pop up, i do get nervous...
It’s not locked to one car, so you can use it on any Land Rover. Historic and intermittent faults are not normally a problem, mostly it’s just a momentary loss of connection with the module.
I may have missed this int he video, but will it reset transmission adaptions and show live feed of what gears you are in for when you need to relearn the transmission?
Does the Creader Elite landrover have function to change the tyre size
£78 including delivery. Cannot be bad if you need one. Cheers
will this read out live values of what gear you are in for when one needs to "relearn the transmission procedure" after changing out solenoids?
Not sure, I'm going to be testing the other version of this next week, will put them side by side and see what they will do.
Will it code keys for central locking, mine stopped working when it was returned from the garage and I don't want to take it back there.
It says on the website that it can code keys, but I did have someone comment saying it wouldn't code the keys on his 2012 L322.
Yeah, right. Does it work on a D2? I'll bet not.
I’ve had the Creader Elite for about 6 months now. I think your review is spot on. It’s a glove box tool at best. I has most special function options but are missing several DIY most needed. It does not have a “service required” reset and the IMMO add a key always fails on my 2012 L322 supercharged petrol USA model. These are easy peeze for the Gap tool.
The GAP tool is invaluable if you have a Land Rover, some people can't and won't be able to justify over €500 for a scan tool, so guess that's where this budget fits in.
That's why its significantly cheaper than the GAP tool? you get what you pay for?
Well guess what. I think Launch is watching your channel. Launch just released V34.85 for Creader Elite and added “Service Message Reset” to Special Function. If you change your own oil-BUY THIS SCANNER!
@@byulacrosse9225 Good to know, I'll update mine later.
Hi Ben, You are correct in saying you need your transmission calibrated. 20,000ks ago I had the transmission oil changed BUT that mechanic put in the wrong oil and did not calibrate the gearbox. Now the transmission shudders under a slight load and does not change down when needed. Therefore I would recommend updating the gearbox computer.
I have been watching your posts for a couple of years now and this is the first opportunity I have had to reply, it seems like a Google or UA-cam settings problem anyhow I can reply now so i"ll catch you again in the near future.
Cheers Ben
Kind Regards
Woodsie
Surely the transmission shudder is down to the wrong oil, and not the lack of resetting the trans adaptations...?
@@SamsMotors Hi Sam, This is the first time I have had the opportunity to reply or comment on your posts. My daily driver is the exact same model of RR that you drive so I do take note of what you have to say. I am not sure whether it’s the oil change or not being calibrated but the shudder is definitely there and the gearbox won’t change down as it used to do, the same symptoms as Ben described. I am getting the oil changed again on the 24th of this month so I will keep you informed. All the best.
Cheers
Woodsie
@@Woodsie-f3j If the incorrect oil was identified when it was changed, it should have been drained and flushed immediately. You may have done permanent damage to the transmission by driving it unfortunately. They are extremely sensitive to the right oil being used.
@@SamsMotors Hi Sam, Thank you for your reply, let’s hope the impending oil change does fix the problem, fingers crossed. The previous mechanic used Lubegard which he has used in previous Range Rovers, looking on the net if a shudder does occur using this oil and additive can be purchased BUT that action is second rate (in other words it’s crap).
Cheers Sam.
