There's a couple that have made video's to explain themselves him included, as they have now been receiving abuse,

Only the people that accused him need to apologise, it wasn't anyone from the show or genuine websleuths, more trolls and idiots
Why why why would you drink brown water?!!🤮
I stayed there in February when her body was found. Water was OK in my room on 14th floor. The hotel was actually pretty good for the price of 56 USD per night with breakfast on the mezzanine level of the hotel. Hotel included even complimentary gym on the ground floor. On the day of checking out the LA fire fighters blocked one of the lifts and the investigation was in full swing. I have only found out what was all about about a month later when back in Europe. Its true, it was easy to access the rooftop through the fire escape iron stairs on the hotel front facade. The stair access from the inside was locked down and under the alarm system. But again, the hotel was far away from "horrendous" and in 2013 the problem with homeless people in the vicinity was not even near to the state of the problem LA faces nowadays through out the entire city.
But they divided the hotel into different layers… i thought the tourists/ people visiting slept in the middle section of the hotel, not the top- and anyways, all the guests got transferred to a new hotel on the day they found her body so the firefighters wouldn’t have JUST blocked ONE elevator, but the WHOLE entire hotel
I hope they blow up Morbids DM’s with apologies just like they sent him all those hate msgs. These wannabe FBI jumping to conclusion and ruining lives.

Dear everyone on the show...why did no one mention the fact her phone went missing...days prior to her death in the tank on the rooftop.
Her phone is the key to solving this case.
Source ??❤
This documentary doesn't mention that her phone was stolen few days before she died. Doesn't interview her hotel room mates either which could shed more light on things. Doesn't entertain a possibility that the 19 day decomposition could erase any signs of trauma (and thats why coroner had hard time determining anything). Doesn't talk much about the editing of the elevator footage and timestamps (even if this was done by the police/media - they should give some details at the very least). Doesnt explain why the police with dogs couldnt find her on the roof despite looking there.
It paints us, the people who just want to help as conspiracy theorists, cyber bullies, insensitive and what not... why lump everyone together like this?

A little bit of a backstory:
The Cecil hotel was opened back in December 20, 1924 its primary purpose was to be a really budget hotel for people to use back then. The Cecil then had troubles with its name because it was used for killings, murders, sucicides, and more. The Cecil also had serial killers, murders, and so much more inside. Two of the most known for staying at the Cecil hotel was Richard Ramirez (The Night Stalker) and Jack Unterweger.
The Cecil hotel was known for so many bad crimes and notorious killings that in 2011, the hotel was renamed the Stay On Main. The hotel was divided within 2 hotels in 1 building so the Cecil hotel would be near the top floors (IDK the exact floors) and the Stay on Main would be near the bottom. This would help divide the 2 diffrent looks at the hotel and would help keep the nice look! The hotel was also known for a girl named Elisa Lam which traveled to the Cecil Hotel alone and she had Bipolar issues. The video shows how the water was brown and the pressure was low, the reason behind that was because Elisa somehow got up to the water tank and was inside that is why the maintenance guy said "That is when I found her". I hope that this kinda helped you find out a little more about the Cecil / Stay on Main. Please like this comment and even if this did not help you please still like this took me a long time to type! Why else was she up on the top floor? Her room was on the 5th.
Did residents / hotel staff lock her out on the rooftop?
The hotel is behind this, I swear. Why would you store a person’s belongings into a storage room just because they’re not in their rooms? That’s invading people’s privacy. It makes sense if the hotel staff were behind this because they wouldn’t want the police knowing or tracing anything suspicious. And anyways, how come you would put someone on a floor with no cameras? The lady has been working at the hotel for 10 years, 80 deaths during then, and she still has the guts to put a young adult at risks? Should be ashamed of herself. And also, in the Netflix documentary, she said something about calling her mum first before the police. Like, what’s the reason for that? Also, everyone has been talking about the elevator video cutting out and stuff, so thats another reason. when the maintenance man said “that’s when I saw her” at the end of the video, is Elisa Lam. You can look it up on Google.
when the British couple said the water was brown, it was her.. from the water tanks. The water had a funny taste in it it was, you know, her.. I’ll just try to say that in a comfortable way.
her body was found in the water tanks. That’s basically what happened. I feel absolutely awful for this man that had to see that.
I would honestly cry, as a person with hemophobia I could not witness that for a second of my life.
may Elisa rest in peace, and god bless this man :)
After watching the documentary on Netflix, my question is WHY haven't they released the Full video footage in the elevator if they are going with her not taking her meds ? Why did they Even Mess with it ?
Yo but who drinks out of the bathroom sink at a hotel though??
Yo I was saying the same thing to myself. I've stayed in many of hotels, never once did I drink from the bathroom sink.
I wouldnt even drink form the bathroom sink in my own house!!
@@Gos1234567 same o.o
I think they’re lying. They didn’t drink it they just want some money.
@@Gos1234567 In the UK tap water is always clean and drinkable and tastes good everyone does it. I've never heard of anyone not drinking their tap water
Why would you drink brown water? Why? What does water look like in the UK that makes a person comfortable enough to drink brown water.
I think these people are stupid. The tap water in the UK is all clear and safe to drink.
Pretty sure they meant they had been using the water for everything before it turns colour
@@finnoloughlin8532 Thanks for clarifying because it didn't make sense to me.
@@DePeaceHunter That's not what they said, they were pretty clear that they used the water for everything even though it had a brown tint.
@@prettitalented it’s how Netflix edited it, they surely didn’t drink the brown water, it was before, they were staying there before that day when the water turned brown.
"She's doing weird hand signs!"
Me: schizophrenia
I wonder if they drank the water that had elisa's body would that be considered canableisim ? Rip Elisa lam
No. That's like drinking straight sewage... It's her waste products coming out in the water. How the hell they didn't get ill is a small miracle.
I think they call that unknowing cannebelism kind of like when someone slips a finger in your soup
How did the water had discoloration when the body was totally fine. Like how did the water colour changed when it's not mixed with anything in the first place? Can anyone please answer my question!
The body wasn’t fine, it was in a stage of decomposition, but that’s not the reason the water was brown, when a person dies the muscles relaxes and so saliva starts drooling, the bladder releases the liquids in it, and the intestines release the feces, sorry this is too graphic, I feel so sorry for this couple, and people are saying that they are stupid for drinking discolored water, they were there before the water turned brown, so they meant they used it before, it just how the clips appeared in the documentary made it sound like they drank it after they saw it discolored.
Why would u drink the water if it were discolored??? Bottled water is very inexpensive!!😳😳😂😂😂
I couldn't stay only one minute there, out of disgust, out of fear and all in all.Thats a horrible experience
I once ate a piece of bread that was brown. It was fine.
'Kay 😂😂😂
Poor, poor Elisa...😔😔
Just finished watching this documentary, and there were two victims. The first tragically killed herself...the second was the victim of frenzied, lunatic keyboard warriors, who thought they had all the facts. Shame on them all
this is why i only use water bottles when i’m at hotels if they’re even slightly sus. even to brush my teeth
This is sooo stupid!!! Yes, mental health is a serious issue. When some one is going through a manic stage there mind's are hallucinations and can make people feel there hearing things and even seeing things. And do things that can put them in the middle of a freeway and strip naked to be free. This whole series was interesting at first until all of the conspiracy 🤦♂️
Well, it is the most dangerous area in LA, and one of the most dangerous hotels, so it’s not that much of a stretch that she didn’t do this to herself. I have bipolar disorder and I’ve also had someone try to kill me, on the record. It’s not like people with mental illness can’t be crime targets or have actual physical health problems. Someone needs to tell this to the cops and the doctors, too. That actually sounds like maybe schizophrenia and not bipolar at all, to me.
The paranormal “explanations” (like a demon led her to do it) do make this story almost unwatchable, though, I agree.
She was alone and weak and the evil spirit in the hotel( serial killer) especially tormented the weak in the hotel. Her room is the place where the spirit dwelled . She was followed, she tried to run but it followed her even in the elevator. She ran out and climbed to the fire escape outside ,the spirit forced her towards the wall and over to the tank and pulled her inside water until she drowned and died.
And I suppose that's the reason why they messed with the time stamps in the elevator.
They know something was going on and choose to irgone it!!
The hotel..
The water was too obvious,This really creeped me out
That will haunt that poor man for the rest of his life
If they knew the water was discoloured why would they drink it
They can just go down to a shop and buy some water bottles
I would of got my ass out of there immediately
I think they drank it before the color
Just finished watching it and honestly, something's off. (spoiler warning**)
First of all that 4 episodes should have been shortened to atleast a two hour documentary.
Second, I don't trust their interviewees. They all looked and sounded suspicious as f. There's something wrong with their gestures, facial expression and tone of voice, it's feels like they're all hiding something and protecting the hotel.
I'm still not convinced with their conspiracy theory.
Third (spoiler): do you really believe that she "accidentally" drowned herself and "undress" herself (fully naked) while drowning inside the tank? Wtf, who does that?! 🤦🏻♂️
My family stayed at this hotel in 2009 right after Michael Jackson died. It was booked by our cousin who didn’t know better. It had a gorgeous lobby but when you get to the room floors… Good god 💀. Having shared bathrooms and toilets did not make the stay any more comfortable. Even my kids thought it was haunted 😂. We were so glad when we checked out early the next day.
I would never be able to drink water ever again just puking thinking about it.
everyone is like HOW did she fall in well as you can see there in a lil hatch so that you dont have to open the full tank
I think more about how to get up to the roof. There's an elevator that only staff can use it but it's not working so the only way to the roof is thru a specific window that only maintenance knows and the manager knows about. The question is how did she know where to go to get onto the top of the hotel. It's nearly impossible. unless she followed an watched a maintenance man doing his job. However, people say she's having a bi-polar episode but if that's the case I would think she would have fallen to her death. I wouldn't think she would have the ability to climb a ladder and know the specific window to use and climb a latter and know how to open the hatch but normally the hatch is pad locked when not being maintained. So, if it's pad locked shut how did she get access to it. I just feel it's just way too much work for someone like her to just go and do by accident and or if she wanted to commit suicide. I watched so many youtubers showing the window and what it took to get to the roof which to me there's no way someone with bi-polar having an episode could navigate thru all that to get to the tanks. I just feel that she might have had a bi-polar episode but someone staying at the hotel must have killed her and stashed the body in the tank. she might have gottend raped... but you would think in the autopsy they would've found something if that happened . Like I said it just doesn't make sense with the current story.
@@bebdaumon3948 your right that makes sense lol
@@user-cy7bw2km6k just look at how much work it is just to get onto the roof. Also they have said the hatch and the window is always locked and the manager has the keys for it. I feel like an employee must have seen her impaired and he must have raped her and then had someone help him move the body up into the roof and into the water tanks because normally anyone that falls into the tanks won't be noticed until maintenance does their sweep. that's what I am thinking because it looks to me that you cannot go to the roof by mistake. You would have to know what you're doing to know where to go.
I stayed there a few days since I live near by i wanted to see what the big deal was about, oh i got it!..First don't be there alone, if you're a girl definitely do not be there alone!!..lots of creepy characters hanging out in the hallways noice drug deals prostitution seedy characters but yet intriguing to be there. Just be careful if you stay there. Bring your street smarts with you...And yes it's haunted.
hmmm smell like adventure to me
Why would they drink nasty water and what was the girl thinking
How poor are they? they still use the water despite its tinted, unbelievable
This hotel and it's manager are responsible. They marketed themselves as a safe hostel for travellers.
Elisa was psychotic and they did nothing but moved her into a different room. They then put her belongings into storage when she didnt check out without raising an alarm (WTF?!)
I think Elisa must have pissed off a sketchy long term resident whilst she was in a psychotic state on the upper floors (the most dangerous part of the hotel). They then manhandled her into the water tank, away from the cameras.
The hotel likely covered this up to keep the business going. A few years later they sold the hotel after the dust had settled.
Exactly! Leftists like criminals, though, so they don't charge them with anything. They just throw them into one place together and call it Skid Row. Skid Row is a metaphor for California's personality.
I still don’t get if the water tank lid was open or closed! When the police dogs went to the roof the first time I am sure they said a police officer went up the tank and didn’t see any opened lid though! Sure he would have notice it. What you guys think? The whole Netflix end episode is pretty sketchy
Alex MG That's interesting! Where did you read/watched that the police said they found it closed the FIRST time they came to search for Elisa? (When she's still missing & they're looking for her)
If that's so, someone might have lied about finding Elisa floating in an opened tank! Because the maintenance guy claimed it was open when he saw her body there.
If it's open the entire time Elisa's body was there, wouldn't the police dogs have an easier time sniffing her there? Really sketchy!
I think the maintenance man closed the lid before going to inform the manager. My original reply came across as arrogant which was not my intent ok
@@vwalt6804 I see the lid was opened at all time then.
@@vwalt6804 Looks like there were 2 times the police went there. The first time was to search for Elisa when she's missing, and no one knows she's dead yet. The police dogs didn't find her eventho. they went to search in the roof. (If it's opened then, why didn't the dogs found her?)
The 2nd time, the maintenance guy said he found her dead in the open tank, and he closed it. Then the hotel informed the police her body was found.
@@heyheynet4172 yea I didn’t mean for my reply to seem arrogant, don’t take it out of context ok
For ANYONE from Europe, don’t drink TAP water in America, we don’t do that here.
If yall don't believe in ghost better start believing that hotel is crazy haunted
