I really don't get this anti nijgad airport stuff as the airport brings a lot of rewards. Yeah, i accept that natural resources are to be sacrificed for this and a lot of species are gonna get risked for this and yeah i have no knowledge about these environmental stuff but for this kind of big project obviously there has been a full feasibility test and there is no possibility of development without any destruction. But just see the brighter sides. This project would bring new opportunities. The tourism industry would boom and the trade sector would also be benefited And this airport means that nijgad would be the next big thing in Nepal aside from Kathmandu Kathmandu and Kathmandu. This is irresponsible for such "expert" to give out such false information.. we need hospitals,, better health ,schools, roadlinks,, industries,, ecotourism,, anti corruption modalities, better reproductive health policies, agriculture infrastructure..but what we are getting from these experts are ways to increase inflation and debts .. shame.
Nepal is developing countries we need money to develop our country and taking loan is not a bad thing if we utilize it in productive sector like infrastructure.
This is not just a airport it is a transit hub and life line of Nepal. We have already seen 4 times economic blockade from India and to tackle that Nijgadh airport is the way for us. We can do direct trade with other countries by importing,exporting goods from big jumbo cargo jets.
