You can find the cheap buses usually in the central bus stations! Yes, chicken buses are a term for the extremely cheap buses in Central America. I think they call them chicken buses because locals will ride with just about everything including chickens 🤣

A lot of people are shy or scared to take the very local transport. But I found it to be the best experience in Central America!
Where/how do you purchase the busses?
At the local bus stops/ on the bus!! It is super easy to find the stations. They are usually very central and locals are always happy to direct you!
