Really enjoyed this one! One of my first attempts at terrain building was a wall section and some towers for my GW Gondorians and their trebuchet. This brought back some fond memories.
The lotr game sucked for big battles which was a real shame because they had so many great minis and it was so fun to build terrain for. Made a big section of wall for my rohirrim to defend :D game was great for hero vs small army of baddies (or vice versa though)
Dude, your build is EPIC and it’s a privilege to have my tiny building sat next to yours! I’ve picked up loads of tips from your video for when I inevitable work on more foam buildings.
ERIC THIS TURNED OUT SOOOO AMAZING! Seriously incredible! I love how we both ended up with clay doors but went about it so differently. I always learn so much from watching your videos 👏 👏 👏 Thanks for the inspiration!
I really think that this came out superbly. Perfectly themed for Minas Tirith with all those little architectural details and the painting is spot on. One of your best without a doubt and for me personally the stand out building in this section Lachlan is building.
Literally taken a back from your craft man ship. Even the simplistic of techniques such as your stone pressing, creates such a visually aesthetic effect.
Incredible. Even if one were not already familiar with the LOTR you did a fantastic job of conveying the what and why. You checked all the boxes for techniques as well. Fine work all around.
What an awesome collab. It still snags my brain to realise the movies and the tabletop game are from around 20 years ago now ... I still remember reading in White Dwarf an article where they made Helms deep and fought a game on it
Honestly, I think this might be my favourite video you've done. It feels like a lot more thought, time and effort when into this project compared to others to create not just a playable wargaming space, but also something that felt interesting and unique, yet grounded. I hope to see something like this for 40k, Necromunda or DnD in the future!
I am in AWE at what you've done here! It makes me want to dive right in and get started making my own D&D terrain, but I know I've got a lot of learning to do before I can do something as cool as this. Still, you've inspired me greatly, and I look very much forward to what you make in the future!
Eric is amazing, but if you're still starting I suggest you look at the Terrain Tutor. He's got lots of videos on the basic materials and techniques to start creating terrain
I have to say, my favourite piece revealed by Zorp! Really impressive work, incredibly detailed and realistic…representing perfectly what we see in the movie.
I don't know how many times I've watched this video. Your building is definitely my favorite from this collaboration! Feels like you really looked at the source material and paid respect to it. Great Job!
Stunning piece. For some reason, it reminded me of the Eldar cityscape you did a while back. Not aesthetically, of course- but it did remind me of that piece, all the same. Probably the size and color pallet. Fixin' to go check out the playlist for the rest of the build, so thanks for linking that for us. Nice little distraction video, too- I was figuring your next upload would be the next part of the titan. Not a complaint, mind you; again, that was some mighty fine looking terrain you made there. Have a good one, and enjoy your coming weekend.
LOTR is my fav as well. I have been tossing around building this city. Such an amazing build! This video has provided me with new techniques to add to my tool box. Thank you for a great and epic video!!
Stupendous build. Just really, really nice. So glad you, and it, got to be a part of this collab. As for this chunk, my fav things are your "sticky outy" windows, and the stains and grime. Great job, Eric! (6 dislikes!? What the actual fuuuuu...!?)
Wow. Amazing build as usual. You make it look so effortless. I love how you just work your way through a build. Lovely stuff! I will check out the other works as well, and look forward to seeing the entire massive board now!
Absolutely loving the gigantically epic & mega ambitious projects! It's a great change of pace from the small scale weekly projects common on the UA-camz. Especially hyped for this one as a LoTR tragic. Wooooo!
You ran into that with such confidence and seamless execution. Being a new DAD really charges up that enthusiasm (or makes it so you do it as efficiently as possible between feedings)...LOL
I imagine the shipping stunted some of the detail you could add, but some additions could be: *Creeping vines and growing moss on the walls. *Darkened stone from years of coal and smog burning that darks the lower layers. *Repaired/replaced brick work, maybe someone had a door moved, or a window filled in, maybe a lower wall crumbled. I couldn't help but feel it still wasn't lived in or green enough, and I know this will come through later with the flooring and items like barrels, wheelbarrows, plants, signs and benches etc. Looks great, really makes me want to grab some foam, get some of that casting putty and make a castle myself.
Warms my heart to see so many of my youtube faves working together to create something Middle Earth related! This looks awesome dude, spectacular work!
Such an AWESOME result mate; great! I had so much fun being involved with this collaboration as well and also hope to get a game on that epic table Lachie is making :) Cheers!

Very cool. The trebuchet is such a nice model. That sounds like a good time
I love this^

Hey Eric, nice to see you here.
Awesome, you captured the look of the film perfectly.
Awesome build Eric. Absolutely nailed it out of the park. You guys all did fantastic work and I hope to catch u guys on the next one!
Thanks Neil! Theodin doesn’t show up until the second film anyways right? 🧙♂️would love to see your take on some of this type of stuff
ERIC THIS TURNED OUT SOOOO AMAZING! Seriously incredible! I love how we both ended up with clay doors but went about it so differently. I always learn so much from watching your videos 👏 👏 👏 Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks Raquel! It was a fun collab!
I really think that this came out superbly. Perfectly themed for Minas Tirith with all those little architectural details and the painting is spot on. One of your best without a doubt and for me personally the stand out building in this section Lachlan is building.
Hahaha! "Yes, I wish that!" Cracked me up! Great choice bud
Dude I love you. Your beast is straight up amazing and I'm so stoked to have roped you into my descent into madness. Thank you so much
You sure you ment Benji in this comment? :D
Ah yes. Benji's Hobby Workshop. Best channel on the Tubez! :P
'Benji' is short for 'Eric' in Australia stemming from roots in our colonial history.
I'm still watching the rest of them but Benjis is pretty cool
Eric's is really nice too, I think he is my favorite
I absolutely love your contribution to the Minas Tirith Megabuild
Knocked it out of the park with this one. By far my favorite build of the bunch.
Literally taken a back from your craft man ship. Even the simplistic of techniques such as your stone pressing, creates such a visually aesthetic effect.
If I could like this multiple times, I would.
Fantastic build, absolutely wonderful.
Incredible. Even if one were not already familiar with the LOTR you did a fantastic job of conveying the what and why. You checked all the boxes for techniques as well. Fine work all around.
This was my favorite build of all the collaborators
I'm just here to steal a few shots for the next video and I ended up watching the whole video again haha, that intro has me in stitches every time 😂
Love the different hallways and arches that make models looks so cool and integrated with the scenery
What an awesome collab. It still snags my brain to realise the movies and the tabletop game are from around 20 years ago now ... I still remember reading in White Dwarf an article where they made Helms deep and fought a game on it

Hey, thanks for the advice! I wouldn't have even known where to start, so I'll be sure to look into him and see where that takes me.
You've really knocked this one right out of the Shire.
Just watched Zorpasorp's video of the unboxing of buildings sent to him, and hands down, yours is the absolute best of them!
An impressive build and I have learnt a few tricks which is even better. Something like this is way more satisfying than just printing it.
TOTALLY EPIC! You Do some AMAZING WORK! SAVED This one to my FAVS!!
I have to say, my favourite piece revealed by Zorp! Really impressive work, incredibly detailed and realistic…representing perfectly what we see in the movie.
Amazing how you can visualize this and then bring it to life. Everything about is so good and really enjoyed watching this.
Lego windows look amazing at scale. Great build full of useful tips!
This is absolutely wonderful. Could watch this for hours!
I don't know how many times I've watched this video. Your building is definitely my favorite from this collaboration! Feels like you really looked at the source material and paid respect to it. Great Job!

Beautiful work 👍 the weathering steps really brought it into the world of Minas Tirith!
Really *AMAZING* work! Congratulations!!!
This is my favorite of the buildings I have seen so far
John Howe and Alan Lee are my two favourite artists to ever paint the world of Middle Earth. You started with good references.
Absolutely incredible. Straight out of the movie. Stunning
Attention to detail, astounding; and design theory from the films, perfectly replicated. Truly a build of surpassing excellence.
This was BY FAR the best contribution.
Wow. Amazing build as usual. You make it look so effortless. I love how you just work your way through a build. Lovely stuff! I will check out the other works as well, and look forward to seeing the entire massive board now!
Thanks Perry!
This is some of your best work Eric. Bravo!
Lol perfect Denethor clip for a perfect Minas Tirith build!
duuude the attention to detail... Looks amazing!
Seriously cool stuff! The weathering really sells it.
Absolutely loving the gigantically epic & mega ambitious projects! It's a great change of pace from the small scale weekly projects common on the UA-camz. Especially hyped for this one as a LoTR tragic. Wooooo!
What a fantastic project that warms this cold heart. It seems the strength of men is not yet exhausted.
Brilliant video! That building turned out so well, perfect Minis Tirith vibes!
So beautiful and detailed. Well done, sir!
I think I just spat out my coffee at the Belethor cutaway. Loved the insights in this video Eric, the building looks amazing!
Love a good Denethor clip lol
By far your best piece yet. Amazing job!
Beautiful work Eric, look spot on and makes me think I really need a hot wire cutter too. So good, thanks for posting!
Wow, this turned out incredible. The structure and details are awesome. The paint work just brings it to life! So cool.
Nice dude! Really like to follow the project! Cheers
This is amazing. Thanks to your channel, I now have in my house a big heavy box of terrain materials.
You ran into that with such confidence and seamless execution. Being a new DAD really charges up that enthusiasm (or makes it so you do it as efficiently as possible between feedings)...LOL
This is next level! The amount of patience you have is insane... Huge respect :D
That was an awesome video man. The time it must have cost, loads of respect to you and your channel. Fantastic build 👍.
The effort put in by everyone was impressive, but imo this is by far the best building! Amazing work as always eric
just amazing, is incredible the detail
The thought and effort put into this incredible. I was impressed when I saw it on lockeyes video and now doubly so
I love the level of detail and dedication to honoring the source material that you put into this! Absolutely marvelous!!

Thank you again
This is great !!! Love it.
Maybe with blue tiles it would have had a little bit more of pop but it's the only downside I can think of, awesome build.
Such an AWESOME result mate; great!
I had so much fun being involved with this collaboration as well and also hope to get a game on that epic table Lachie is making :)
Cheers!
