There was. This is all within the last few years. Most of these were TD Ameritrade. I grew up in Omaha, back in the 90s and early 2000s when I was kid they used to launch absolute assaults. LSU was always an offensive juggernaut.
Auburn's batting line-up took a big hit this year when Julian decided to take the deal with the Twins. This weekend's performance against UCF is evident of that.
@1:28 After that bomb Dylan busby hit look at his two teammates Raleigh and flowers lmao. Genuinely happy for their boy. Looks like he saying did U see how far that went? And flowers geeking.
I was at the Auburn/MSU game and I couldn’t believe how far that ball went off of our ace Small. Small was basically unhittable all year so it was that much more surprising, still can’t believe we came back and won somehow.
What about Robin Ventura, Pete Incavillia, Will Clark, Bobby Thigpen, Raphael Palmero. Those guys hit some bombs at Rosenblatt stadium in the 80. I'm sure a few of those shots went further that 430'
These are shots BUT I’d refer to homers at the CWS back in the 90’s- while they still used the 2 5/8” barrels. During those days- I remember seeing hitters use the Air Attacks and Omaha bat models and balls were FLYING!
Believe it or not, the current UF 1b. . Jac Caglionone is better. Last year he actually incinerated a pitch at Missouri that was measured at 488'. He's currently leading college hitters in HRs ..PLUS. . he's the Sunday starter on the hill with a 97 mph heater. Caglionone is the Shohei Otani of college baseball. He'll make a solid professional.
A few more homers that I’ve seen hit are Steve detweilers hr for Fresno st. vs Georgia in the 2008 cws champ series. It went halfway up the bleachers in left field. The other homer that is a must see is, Steve Susdorfs hr in the cws the year that Fresno state won it all.
Todd Trafton. University of Arizona 1986 against Florida State. Hit a line drive off of the hitters eye at the old Rosenblatt Stadium 425 feet away before they moved the fences in.
Tony Miranda from Cal State Fullerton hit a ball over the batter's eye and out of the old Rosenblatt stadium. It was a little left of dead center and in championship game against USC in 95 or 96 or 97. My HS American Legion team played in Omaha tournament every summer and we got to attend many games. I was sitting in left field bleachers when Miranda hit that BOMB. Personally, the fact that that Tony's TANK is never spoken about, doesn't qualify here, but not mentioned anywhere on web or UA-cam is criminal. You can watch the game on UA-cam. He hits it in the 7th or 8th inning. Mark Kotsay hit a shot too and he also pitched an inning or 2. Game was close then Fullerton went off last few innings and just destroyed SC.
This is only the longest home runs since they moved downtown just a few years ago. There were way longer homers hit at Rosenblatt when the ball was juiced and the ball flew out of there. I saw Pete Incaviglia hit one in the 80s probably 500+ feet. It may have been still climbing when it crossed the fence. Nowadays they hardly hit a home run.
@@dylansteelman6876 ha I said the said thing about Incavilla. I think I've seen three or four posts in here asking about his home runs. Dude was a legend and even though he didn't make it in the majors too well, people are still talking about him now.
The actual longest home run in CWS history is Damon Minor - Oklahoma 1994 6th inning no count off of Myers. OU up 7-4 vs. Georgia Tech (Garciaparra, Varitek) OU set championship game record scoring 13. Two days before the bomb Damon hit a foul ball that may be the longest ball an amateur ever hit. The announcers continued to talk about it throughout the CWS.
I challenge you to check out the 96-99 CWS’s back when they were at Rosenblatt. More specifically the 98 CWS game between UF and Mississippi State. 😉👊🏼
If these are the longest home runs in College WS, that proves how much better major league players are compared with College (also, they are using metal bats)!
Wait...so.... at 2:35 Centerfield is 408’ away from dead center in that park... That ball was hit to the left of that marker, and barely cleared the wall into the 2nd or third row. I know for sure there’s been longer homers by Alonso in College ball and MUCH longer than the 4 that proceed it in this list. Come on.
In fact, the very next homerun shown in this montage, apparently only goes for feet farther than the one against Miami Florida. That ball cleared up to the walkway pass the left-field bullpen… But apparently it was only 4 feet farther than the one prior. Sorry, something isn’t right. Much like when ESPN does the homerun derby and someone will hit the back of the third deck of citizens Bank Park, that will be 501 feet, then they will hit a homerun dead centerfield and it will barely graze the batter’s eye wall, but that one will be 578 feet.
Just an assumption, but the announcers did mention “thick air” at the CWS. I’m assuming the atmosphere in Omaha is quite arid, meaning “heavier” air resulting in greater drag.
So if they use wood bats they become 350 ft popflys no where near the 408 ft wall... damm professionals are Strong... they hit 450ft plus with lumber... wow
Sorry, but Rosenblatt had a lot more longer bombs! In 1991, Lyle Mouton from LSU hit one dead center field that carried that fence by 30 feet or more. The groundskeeper said he’s never seen one go that far! I know there have been others.
Too bad they didn’t track in 2009. Cameron Rupp the Texas Longhorns catcher hit a monster game tying home run dead center before his teammate hit a walk off homer to go to the CWS Final.
If you're only including those hit at the new park, you should probably change the title of the vid to reflect that. Cameras were present at Rosenblatt, so I'm sure there were some bombs hit at the old place that you could have included. I saw a couple of them the year I got to go to some games there.

Robbie Stanley oh that guy that hit 53 home runs in his rookie season last year? Yeah that guy is not very popular for sure
Oh you mean that guy that broke the home run rookie record or that guy that one the home run derby in his rookie season he is definitely a nobody
wow so funny its even funnier when you repeat the joke over and over and over and over and
Michael Dooley what do mean joke it’s true nobody knows who he is 😁😉

2:30, 3:38 and 6:17 for a polar bear.
Scouts should keep an eye on this Pete guy.... He seems pretty good.
T Mort I don’t think so, dude has 0 pop
Why does Pete have a cage on his helmet
Lil Benji he hit a ball off of his face and messed up his nose
He had to contain the beast in college. Couldn't just go out and hit 50+ bombs and make everyone else look bad
He was thrown at at he hit his face once
Oh I don’t know.. to protect his face
Fiz_OPJuice51 well most players don’t use that so he was probably trying to find out the reason like if he hurt himself
There has to be farther home runs before BBCOR
There was. This is all within the last few years. Most of these were TD Ameritrade. I grew up in Omaha, back in the 90s and early 2000s when I was kid they used to launch absolute assaults. LSU was always an offensive juggernaut.
right?? lol "furthest ever hit in the CBWW, lol the outfileders could've robbed some of those hahahah
Yea the BESR and the negative 5 era need to have a word with this video lol
You want to see longer bombs look no further than 90s CWS. Especially LSU's 5 title years.
Auburn's batting line-up took a big hit this year when Julian decided to take the deal with the Twins. This weekend's performance against UCF is evident of that.
UCF also looks rlly good tho so I don’t think you can blame that on Auburn’s offense. The way they played they could beat anybody
Looks like all turned out fine julian is easily a top 10 second baseman in baseball now
1991 LSU's Lyle Mouton hit one over the scoreboard at the old park and it still hasn't landed
Gorilla ball
Y'all should find some mid 90's CWS footage. Especially LSU games.
That is exactly what I was thinking. Ccor bats and zcor bats were insane

I went to my first one in 2019 for Auburn and it was an awesome experience hopefully the cws will have a good amount of fans this year
pretty sure 500 ft home runs happened before the new bats come into college baseball
This is college World Series not college baseball
@@Graysondavenport5 Stop, the 90s during the -5 era with hardly if any bat regulations and zero PED testing. No comparison.

Surprised there was no Pete Incavilia HRs on here. That dude was a beast for Oklahoma State in the 80's
You are right the longest home run I've ever seen in college Pete Incavilia hit it.
The college World Series is my favorite NCAA championship it’s the best thing ever in college baseball.
Bats in the 90s were 🔥. I'm sure there's been some crazy shots hit from around this time period that we wouldn't even believe.
I was at the Auburn/MSU game and I couldn’t believe how far that ball went off of our ace Small. Small was basically unhittable all year so it was that much more surprising, still can’t believe we came back and won somehow.
For the people who don’t know Pete Alonzo is now in the MLB on the METS
Oh ok I didn’t know thanks
5:00 for the people who have no idea who Brendan McKay is, he is a pitcher for the Rays

Pete incavilla was a monster in college
For sure Pete hit some of the longest. Also Lyle Mouton from LSU hit major bombs.
Wow watching Peter Alonzo longest home runs in college was pretty fun
Alonso is a MONSTER. But that Brendan McKay Homer eas such a sweet, smooth swing. Griffey-esque
I came here (late) to comment about “Peter” but obviously everyone else has lol

Was at the game when Alonzo hit that ball to the concession stand. Sucked that they were two and a bbq, but that was great to see.
Todd Trafton. University of Arizona 1986 against Florida State. Hit a line drive off of the hitters eye at the old Rosenblatt Stadium 425 feet away before they moved the fences in.
7:49 the score at the top says distance was 418ft.. your caption says 429ft, are you just throwing homeruns together and making random guesses?
Matt Nighstalker no dumbass that’s a projected distance
No it was actually 329 they had it wrong
Blake Roberts it was 429
No it was 5000 dead center
The Gators keep setting records. Caglianone set the statcast era record, college and MLB, last night with a 516' bomb.

Yeah ever since bbcor was introduced the home runs have went down a lot
It wasn't the balls. It was the bats. In the 90s 15 year olds were jacking 400 feet homers back then.

That Alonzo guy seems like he can really hit a ball

I grew up in Omaha. They forgot the bombs back in 90s and early 2000s before the deadened the bats.
Played D1 15 yrs ago... Saw a few 425-450 ft bombs leave the park. Literally like out of the park. The one's where you don't even turn around.
1994 Damon Minor. Oklahoma. When they crushed Nomar and Varitek while they were at Georgia Tech.
This makes me wanna play college ball, I live in Florida, I’m 15 and I’m hitting 360 rn so I hope to make this list one day
If these are the longest home runs in College WS, that proves how much better major league players are compared with College (also, they are using metal bats)!
If anyone notices slot of the Homer's were 421 ft, college rules the way they make these bats thaose balls won't go any further
Albert don't call me Joey Belle hit some serious bombs in Omaha

Michael Horsey don’t argue Statcast
it’s not in college ball it’s strictly the world series
bruh what? right fieldis also like 340 so obviously it's gonna be gone farther lol
Just an assumption, but the announcers did mention “thick air” at the CWS. I’m assuming the atmosphere in Omaha is quite arid, meaning “heavier” air resulting in greater drag.
No respect for Rosenblatt, this is a slap in the face to CWS history!
That Peter Alonso guy seems pretty good but I couldn’t imagine him hitting 53 home runs in a season and winning back to back Home run derby’s
I love the last swing
GK Young HR in the 2016 National Championship was a nuke!
I was not ready for that swing at 7:27
Chicks dig the long ball
Finally. An honest title.
Brandon Larson for LSU in the 90s.... Go watch those monster shots... He hit some nearly 500ft
If this list were accurate, Pete Incaviglia would hold spots 1-20.
There's a name i haven't heard in a long long time
Maybe 10 years ago, big first basement for TCU hit a monster shot.
Pete Alonso stayed true to his Blue and Orange from Florida to the New York Mets.
7:49 it says 418 feet
I thought One of the Boom brothers from OSU would make it since one of them hit the budweiser sign at OKC dodgers stadium
I guy on Arkansas in the 2022 World Series just hit one 436
its crazy how some of these look barely over center field or only are 1/4 up the stands
6:02 classic example of announcer jinxing it
Time to re-edit this and add Wyatt Langford's HR in 2023 CWS.
Hearing the metal bat is so satisfying.

350 ft popflys no where near the 408 ft wall... damm professionals are Strong... they hit 450ft plus with lumber... wow

The auburn player in the thumbnail looks like chandler from mrBeast💀
The fact that they didn’t include rosenblatt stadium home runs makes this moot. Home runs there were 10x as far as the dead bat era.
We played FLorida in 2014 but damn I ain’t know he was getting off like this
Too bad they didn’t track in 2009. Cameron Rupp the Texas Longhorns catcher hit a monster game tying home run dead center before his teammate hit a walk off homer to go to the CWS Final.
So I guess that no homers hit at Rosenblatt counted, you might want to take a look at some tape from 1985 thru 2009
Pete gonna be good if he makes it to the league
I miss the super hot bats from the 90s in college baseball
That Pete Alonso kid is pretty good
I'm going to guess there were as long, if not longer, ones at Rosenblatt. Where are those? TD Ameritrade isn't the only stadium that CWS has been at
1991 lionel Moulton off of John Burke went 500ft in the college world series
Anyone else notice that the first three were on June 17th?
Title should mention that this list is with BBCOR bats. I know for a fact there was way longer homeruns during the good ole BESR days
These Homeruns are weak af, show the 80s, they hit monster blasts
they also had more pop in the bats they were swinging
And pitchers back then were never as good as the pitchers now
In my opinion the fences in Omaha are too deep. Then bring back the BESR bats and increase the homers to give the CWS more appeal.
Alonso was even still wearing blue and orange back then 😂
If you're only including those hit at the new park, you should probably change the title of the vid to reflect that. Cameras were present at Rosenblatt, so I'm sure there were some bombs hit at the old place that you could have included. I saw a couple of them the year I got to go to some games there.
