I love that guy. Glad to see he finally got a win. Sorry that Miguel Cabrera couldn’t win any, but just glad Max Sherzer from that crazy good Detroit team (with Sherzer, Verlander, Anibal Sanchez, and Rick Porcello, all World Series champions after being together at Detroit, and all, aside for Verlander, won it through toughness).
5:02 Cole proceeds to do the opposite further into his major league career, which leads to one of the most dominating seasons by a pitcher in baseball history. His delivery is a complete reverse image today from his college days
This is really cool! There's always so much focus on NCAA Basketball and Football players but you never see or hear anything about the Baseball stars. Maybe it's more prominent around the country but we hear nothing about college baseball in NY.
My high school baseball and softball teams were full of great players. A couple of guys I know personally were hitting 2 HRs a game and we were blowing out divisional and conference rivals by 8-10 runs every game for 3 years. We had a guy who transferred in his junior year from Florida and he had a 100 mph fastball but I guess coach wouldn’t let him use it more than 4 times a game so as to keep him healthy and safe for college. Then we came back down to Earth after losing in the State semifinals 4-1 and I guess our team has sucked since then.
@@pscjr6111 I see it now. I also always got Stephen Strasburg messed up with Lincecum because Lincecum and Strasburg have similar pitches and although we’re on different teams I thought they looked alike. Nowadays I realize I was just a kid seeing two similar styles and thinking they looked alike when they don’t look alike at all.
I love watching this college ball players making it to the show. Has anyone noticed it's the same 5 teams bringing these kids up CSF really and S. Carolina. Arkansas. Oregon State. Florida. Are they the only schools that know baseball talent. Wow. Maryland Terps baseball yes sir.
I love watching some Stanford sports, men and women, but for some reason we always choke and end up inconsistent and sucking. If we paid more attention to the baseball and softball that we do football, soccer, and basketball we’d be unstoppable. Some crazy smart people going to that school. Could take over the world.
Oh, and we can’t forget about the women’s volleyball. Everyone likes going to either Stanford or Wisconsin. Those are like the powerhouse football teams but just for volleyball.
@@anabelgutierrez68 injuries and a lack of caring about winning and more about having fun. That’s fine, but if you’re in the MLB you should want to get your team wins.
It’s funny, I’m a huge LSU baseball fan and go to the college World Series every year in Omaha and in 2015 LSU was staying at the same hotel my dad and I were in. I shared an elevator ride with Alex Bregman and he was such a cool dude, now I can’t stand the guy...
Imagine going into a series in the CWS and having to face Cole and Bauer in back to back games
Bauer is for real
Did you see him Last night for Cincy straight beast. Love him
@@williamwilliams3387 and he's just a nice dude that wants to help grow the game. Need more guys like him
Yeah a 2010 Carolina shit on them 😂
They got smashed by Whit and JBJ in the finals though. That’s SC team was loaded with talent too
Did you guys know that Bauer and Cole absolutely hated each other at UCLA
How is it possible that Max Scherzer looked the exact same in 2004 and 2020
He doesn’t age
Right?!?!?
I love that guy. Glad to see he finally got a win. Max looked 35 in college
he doesnt age lol
The first Bauer pitch reminded me of vintage baseball. Such a classic throwing motion.
I agree that to me is a major League wind up and heat. He is gonna be great. Hope Yanks don't get him from Cincy
3:31 Jackie Bradley really just throwing the national title ball into the crowd like that?
same exact thought crossed my mind when he did that
fax i would have put it in my back pocket like rizzo did when the cubs won the ws
Hey man, literally some of the players done that in the MLB all the time.
That dude puffing on the dart that got Turner’s HR ball was hilarious 😂!
Those South Carolina teams were filthy
PETER ALONSO lol weird hearing peter instead of pete
LOL Pete Was Like "Bruh Peter Really? I'm Pete Alonso For God's Sake"
As a gator fan I still call him Peter
Pete Alonso rocking that softball helmet 😂
Based Dale nah just the c flap not softball 🤣
He broke his nose earlier in college
Heath Settle god I hope not
Dude, I'm sure that wasn't a softball helmet
Anyone else peep in DJ fielding clip the pitcher pumped 101
I think that it might have picked up the ball off the bat
I saw that
Nahhh that pitcher was pumpin 101
its so weird to see the pitchers and hitters windups and stances then and now
Max scherzer is exactly the same tho lmao
pete alonso’s stance is so different
5:02 Cole proceeds to do the opposite further into his major league career, which leads to one of the most dominating seasons by a pitcher in baseball history. His delivery is a complete reverse image today from his college days
Need 5+ volumes of this thank you
Trevor Bauer and Gerrit Cole on the same pitching staff? That’s a helluva pitching duo
They also hated each other lmao
They hate each other still apparently. They have traded veiled barbs at each other from time to time but cant stand each other.

Scherzer looked 30 in college
Justin turner with no beard 😧
Back then Trevor Bauer really really looked like Tim Lincecum
He even said that's who he based his mechanics off of

If you listen closely at 3:46, you can hear a trash can being hit
This is the dumbest comment
@Mookie Über Alles die
😂😂
lmao was hoping for this comment
scherzer's mechanics in college look the same as they do today
So does he
Wow Lemahieu what a stop that’s one of those where-HOLY HELL Anthony Ranaudo pumping 101?!?
Cole's delivery is so different now
I like how TCU is part of each highlight almost 😂
I love watching this college ball players making it to the show. Has anyone noticed it's the same 5 teams bringing these kids up CSF really and S. Carolina. Arkansas. Oregon State. Florida. Are they the only schools that know baseball talent. Wow. Maryland Terps baseball yes sir.
wasn't shown much in this video but ASU also.

Wait we’re not gonna talk about 6:21 101 MPH
1:08 homie's wind-up looks like Tim Lincecum :)
6:18 I just wanna who's this pitcher throwing a casual 101 mph...
Name's Anthony Ranaudo, pitched a few times for the Red Sox, Rangers, and White Sox 2014-2016
@@dominickcalcara6727 what happend then
The radar must have messed up and got DJs exit velo. Anthony topped 95 if he was lucky. He sat in the low 90s most of his career.

2:30 did nobody see that?
Wow I remember some of these highlights when these players were in college
From Omaha....Great video, remember all these guys. Bittersweet tho, real kick in the balls no CWS this year.
need more volumes of this
Trea turner is another good player in college
You know how you know Max Scherzer has perfect mechanics? Thames literally have not changed since he was in college.
It’s weird hearing “Peter Alonso” instead of Pete
Who will end up the better duo Cole and Bauer or Rocker and Leiter?
Are we not going to talk about the pitcher throwing 101mph for LSU when DJ Lemahieu made the snag
I think he’s out of the league already
as a tcu fan they really picked all the highlights against us
Kinda weird to hear “Peter Alonso”
Awesome Video
What I want to know is what pitcher threw the 101 mph fastball on the first highlight for DJ?!?!
Justin Turners unrecognizable without the beard
Bro Justin turner with the baby face 😂😂😂
my favorite game
Nice vid
Who was the pitcher on the first Lamehieu play
Hey! That's LSU's Anthony Ranaudo.
Nobody talking about the guy who threw 101
I miss the old scoreboard look
Isn’t Austin Bain the nukes in high school guy?
yes
hunter nope that’s Todd Peterson
Max Scherzer hasn't aged what the hell lmaoooo
Now we know how our current baseball players had gotten themselves into the MLB, great plays
7:04 is that jarvis landry?
super dope
This is so weird I was wanting to watch Brett Gardner when he was in college idk why but then this pops up
That was like 30 years ago
MM 07 nahhhh rly?? I didn’t know

Man seeing Justin Turner without the red facial hair and that big ass leg stride is weird
I literally skipped all the guys that weren’t pitchers
Where’s Mike Trout
Did not attend college.
6:15 101 mph
Gerrit cole looked like 30 in college
Was this supposed to be an SEC only video or something?
First half, yes, second half had barely any SEC
I’m sorry, but Peter Alonso is not an MLB star like that guy on the Mets, Pete Alonso.
I am now scarred for life after see Justin Turner with no beard
Part 2 trea turner
Scherzer looks the same
I was gonna say. Dude looks like he's been 35 for 15 years.
pete alonso with alu bats...
Who threw 101 though?
So we bullying TCU this video, c’mon man
Dr vernoncoleman you tube great video's and integrity
Have you ever seen DJ lemahieu pull a baseball before, no never, stop lying
Big meat pete
3:45 Did you hear that? 🗑
Hi
Couple of these guys are not even MLB stars
Thumbs down for making me watch a commercial on a “nonprofit” channel.
"No one that plays college baseball will be any good theirs no point in watching"
Said nobody ever
@@lillawnchair4371 bro I love college baseball but why do you not see any coverage of it
the average person couldn't care like they would for cfb or cbb
There’s pretty good coverage of relevant schools
Yes but nothing compared to football or basketball
Benintendi is not a star he's at most slightly above average
Bradley is an absolutely terrible hitter not a star
Wouldn't really call Trevor Bauer a MLB star...
He was average at best
Beauer is not an MLB star😂😂😂
u said what 💀
This aged well
