Acuvance Xarvis & Futaba 4PM!

- Aloha! I decided to make a video on how to connect the Futaba 4PM to an Acuvance Xarvis ESC using a R334SBS-E or R334SBS receiver. My Xarvis ESC and R334SBS-E receiver had all the current update software installed prior to connecting with the Futaba 4PM. I did not update the 4PM. This is straight out the box. You do have to update the 4PM if you want to use the new features on the Xarvis XX or the new Futaba GYD550 gyro. Links to software are at the bottom. I am not positive if the R304SB or R304SB-E receiver will work since Futaba has not released any update software for those specific receivers. is that 4PM all access feature? if the different, what the different setting feature in 7PX, 10PX?
Would you know why It’s saying Time Out when I do the esc link? Just put a new gyro on my car and I don’t have reverse. I was told this might help that?
I'm not sure why it's saying Time Out but not having reverse sounds like you may have to calibrate your throttle endpoints on the esc. Hope this helps!🤙🏽

@@teambubblemilkrcdriftarizo6990 I follow the exact procedures with all the equipment firmware updated but still got 'COMM-ERR' while read from the ESC thru the S.BUS, tried several times on firmware update and re-pairing the transmitter and receive, but result was the same...

@@zysl90x you mention that you updated the 4PM and the Xarvis ESC. Did you also update the receiver? Just trying to cover all the bases and hopefully get you set up! Also you would need the ESC to have the 0.F.00.F1.05 update to be able to use the S.Bus. so thats good you updated it.
How come I would get a message saying Time Out? I’m trying to fix not having reverse after putting a new Gyro in.
Recalibrate the endpoints on the esc

What receiver model do you have? Is it the R334SBS or R334SBS-E? Do you have your esc in program mode?

Did you update your esc with the Futaba software from the Acuvnace Japan site using the update device ii or iii?
@@teambubblemilkrcdriftarizo6990 haven’t updated the esc things I’ve done so far is updated the 4pm to version 5 and sent my link cable back to the distributor. And he updated it for me.
Well thats where you're having the connection issues. You need to update the esc with the Futaba update on the Acuvance Japan website. You need the update device ii or update device iii to do so. The software update is necessary. It allows the esc to communicate with the Futaba radio via s.bus. Let me know if you have any other issue! 💯🤙🏽
