Honestly it was so depressing the last 2 years seing this game being treated like the worst ever made, when while playing it i was blown away by how much work went into so many of its aspects. Just the city visually man I've never seen anything like it in another game, the feeling of size and scope it gives you, the atmosphere, the level of detail in the architecture, there isn't a single street or building that looks the same. Even the things I didn't bought this game for at all i was really amazed by the amount of work that went into them for examples all the weapons and their design so cool and original and the quality of the reload animations for a studio who before this game had never created a firearm in a video game, same for the cars I absolutely love their design each one is so unique and detailed on the inside like the outside. And of course the story and characters who feel so real and like they have all their emotions and personnality, it's very rare i love and care so much about characters in a videogame. And on top of that I feel like so many people bought this game for the wrong reasons, just looking at UA-cam you can see 10 millions videos comparing this game with GTA, saying it's bad using examples like the police chase or the physics when you drive into a wall, comparisons that make as much sense as saying Skyrim or Witcher 3 are bad because it's more realistic in RDR1 when you get chased by guards or fall of your horse, and meanwhile the same people using these examples completely ignore things that are 90% of the reasons why you buy a game like this. This game is extremely amazing. The ambition of the devs was over the roof but bugs on launch did it no good. This right here is what they envisioned the game to be and I would love it if you could make a series of your progress to become a full edge runner. The graphics are freaking amazing and the framerates..oooouuuu boy oh boy. If I should get my hands on your Pc I’ll do wonders with V in my missions. Amazing video
I don’t agree completely, the trailers offered wayyyyy more than what’s currantly in the game, it’s still not what it should be, I’m waiting another year or 2 to replay it
@@Awomman-kp3by Trust me there are people out there who actually believe this game launched as a Masterpiece and the (ONLY) negative thing were simply bugs.
@@Awomman-kp3by FYI, the developers of cp2077 ALL left the studio a year before the game released. It literally can't be finished. Only minor big fixes and additional backlogged content were added later. No one but the original team know how to develop on the custom in-house game engine they made. That's why CDPR announced that Witcher 4 will be on UE5 and not on their new engine, lol. Which is funny because the people that made witcher3 were the same people that made cp2077. So who TF are they going to get to make a game they have never been apart of before? It's gonna be BF2024 all over again.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners singlehandedly revived this game. No wonder it won anime of the year beating freaking AOT. Thanks to the devs as well for fixing the game and actually giving us a proper chance to experience night city.
It was never a flop, even in the first few weeks it had over a quarter million positive reviews on Steam (out of 300000) Don't trust the media and UA-cam
@@dingostar2620 They cant fix misleading players and showing them features that were never intended to be in the game. They can make the existing game playable which they have and then some. But the content itself is lacking and incredibly linear.
Thanks for covering Cyberpunk 2077 again. I've been playing since launch and I feel like it's nice for it to get the positive attention it deserves. The game is in a much better state now(even though I think the old-gen versions shouldn't even be out) and there's so much more to come with the Expansion and the new features they promised for later patches. 2 more things: 1. Missed opportunity to play the game in night time and display how even more impressive it looks with all the neon lights and reflections. 2. The father and son you took out during the gig were responsible for tuning AKA editing the filmed BDs. I don't think there's anything wrong in doing what you did since these guys play as much of a part if not more into this whole thing. You get more info on how bad they are as people if you read some shards you could find around and some of the emails on their computer. Banger video, though. Loved the intro montage with the "I really want to stay at your House" edit. :)
Ahh, this brings back the memories of when you played this game at launch on stream. Mainly because of the unfortunate thumbnail of the character creation screen 🤣😅 Congrats on the second PC, glad that it's so beefy since you had to wait so long 😁🧡
With me, I bought it when it first came out (PS4 version), heard all the talk about how bad and glitchy it was, and just set it aside and played other games. I literally just started playing it seriously a month or so ago (which probably explains why this popped up in my 'suggested' feed), as a Corpo, and I'm enjoying it. Only encountered a couple of glitches (one in the Inventory, and one 'missing texture' while on the road), but otherwise its still playable and enjoyable.
One of my favorite games to come out in recent years. I've done 5 full playthroughs and have over 500 hours in the game now. It does have a LOT of content to learn, so the more you learn the more enjoyment you'll get out of the game. A lot of people have complaints that aren't valid, simply because they arent aware of certain cyberware or upgrades that solve their issues. Sadly, publishers, investors, and players pushed CDPR to release the game way ahead of schedule so the release was garbage and many people judge the game completely based on launch. I know they advertised to early, that wasn't the devs fault. I know the game is missing core features that were promised, once again, the devs were rushed. I just want people to know that the developers themselves really cared about Cyberpunk, and put their heart and soul into the game. The shortcomings and god-awful launch was because of hasty publishers and investors. Also I know 2:25 is kinda a bit, but it still kills me.
I know they’ll fix it though, and the game will be where they want it to be, now with more time AND resources not having to worry about any first impressions now.. since we are already through that phase
@@dublethetruble4620 Unfortunately we probably won't be getting every feature they advertised, Phantom Liberty is supposedly the last piece of content for CP2077. I'm sure they're gonna completely fix the game, but a lot of stuff will still be missing.
The game is half-finished garbage and I find it sad you spent so much time on it. The devs all left the studio a year before the game released over the abuse and lies that the publisher was pushing in marketing. CDPR is dead.
@@sqlevolicious "I find it sad that you enjoyed something I don't enjoy" I think "garbage" is completely inaccurate. Sounds like you're talking from bias instead of objective facts. The game is missing features, we already discussed that in this thread. But it does a lot of things right and has a well written story. Hundreds of thousands if not millions of people have enjoyed the game. Some of the biggest most loved games in history have been a buggy mess, so I don't see your point.
I expected a whole lot more from cyberpunk. It's still not what they promised. I haven't played the game personally but this is still not what they had shown us in their launch trailer
I recently bought Cyberpunk to play on the SteamDeck and I have been having a ball with it. I have run into a few bugs but it plays pretty smoothly. I remember playing GTA3 for the first time and being amazed at all the things happening. People walked down the street, cars drove by, you could go wherever you wanted. It felt big and exciting. Cyberpunk is the first time since then I felt that again. The cold dark city filled with people going about their lives. It feels like a living breathing thing. I am kind of glad I didn't play it on launch it I might not have come back to it. As it is now, it is pretty good. It isn't as sharp as this, but it is still pretty on the SteamDeck.
Played it at launch on PC, and I’m glad people are having such a good experience with it now. I never had any game-breaking glitches, so I loved it from the start. But I’m thrilled that CDProjekt kept at it, despite all of the negativity. It’s really something special now.
Happy to understand that the reason you get to play and make awesome content is because we just love your content !!! So proud to support you Tom and make those dreams a reality !!!
That opening av sequence from the tower to Lizzie's was so immersive for me. Don't know about others. Same with Johnny going to bomb the tower(excluding the wonky heli movement of hovering around when u get the turret)
Cyberpunk made me fall in love with a genre of gaming I never thought I’d like. I hated hearing all the criticisms but then again The game ran really well for me. The only issue I had was towards the end of game AI was too easy(predictable bots / bots not shooting at me). Overall very solid experience for me.
@8:43 😂😂😂 omg to funny! I just started playing my first play through and found that spot/area. At the time I didn’t know I wandered into a side gig. Hit the triple hack on both of those breach points and got a trophy. First try on lvl 5 int Req and restarted a saved to get the other lvl 7 int Req breach points.
Heeey! Can i ask u a favor??? Can u transcribe what those two guys were saying in 12:29 to 12:34??? Just traning my listening, but i didn't understand what they were saying...
Its a damn shame this game released in the state it did. Underneath all the messy bugs and glitches is one of the most well written videogame stories I have ever experienced. And the gameplay, when its working right, is equally as good.
Awesome to see you dipping back into Cyberpunk Tomo! I installed once 1.6 dropped and have been having a blast, but more importantly they’ve really sorted out all the problems and it’s finally something close to the game we expected and wanted. The next DLC will be good next year, but oh my.. the Cyberpunk sequel some day… Side note: goddam the perks of being a gaming content producer to get an epic PC Specialist rig with the latest Nvidia top of the range card in there. You and Jack.. damn, I’m jealous.
I got it on launch on xbox one, played through it with the bugs and still enjoyed it, Just started again after the update and though its no where near as good as you have it running, its still one of the best games I've played
Completed the game on stadia year of release and I was pretty lucky as the platform was amazing, hardly any bugs and looked really great. It's even more of a treat now as I'm playing it on geforce now with max settings and ray tracing and everything is so much more alive, especially with crowd density and more a variation in the city with the new updates. Glad to see your enjoying it! Those FPS are insane. Would be great if the next game had a GTA style multiplayer mode or I'd prefer a red dead style/ gears of war co op story missions 🤩
In his quest to stop a child porn/death ring, he kills a teens father in front of him and then blows the teens head off... He who hunts monsters must make sure he does not become a monster! lol 10 out of 10 good stuff!
I got Cyberpunk 2077 two days ago. I have never really played a huge open-world game like this (maybe Elden Ring? I mainly stick to shooters). I can say that over the 32 hours put into it, I loved it. The way it makes you feel so immersed and like this is YOUR decision, YOUR story, is unmatched. I was actually sad when Jackie died, I actively tried doing everything the best way possible, I cared about characters and other aspects. It just felt so "real" to me. Not to mention the "I Want To Stay at Your House" song that makes my soul get crushed every time I hear it in-game (Watched the anime before playing). Glad I waited on getting it, and can't wait for the future of what Cyberpunk and CDPR hold.
Played this at launch on a high end PC, never had any game breaking bugs or too many glitches back then and absolutely loved being in Night City and getting fully immersed by the world, characters and stories. Still, the game is a lot better now after the patches they've released. Can't wait for the expansion.
There was nothing to get immersed in lmao the city was dead you couldn't interact with NPCs, there were no stores and nothing to do but somehow you got immersed lmao.
@@marchfifth1754 That never actually happened, buddy. Sure, there were a lot of refunds; but not “millions” of them. Besides that, after all of that the game went on to sell over 20 million copies, while garnering a ton of praise recently. Concurrent players are in the millions even nearly 2 years after launch. Stay mad or go play with some marbles or something. :D
I just finished my playthrough a week ago, and i still feel empty from all the endings i did (i did 3 of them) its a fantastic story that everyone should experience either your own playthrough or watching someone else, its just as emotional as the anime, the group behind this game know how to touch your heart
Got my 4090 today and tried 2042 as well as CP2077. The latter is just absolutely mind boggling and feels so darn good to play this fluently. It looks stunningly beautiful. I can't say I don't miss those 2 grand, but I'm having a hell of a good time right now nonetheless.
R.I.P your energy bills and the planet earth 😂 Fuck it lets go down in a blaze of glory with maxed out ray tracing and blistering FPS all the way before we get melted in World War 3 😂👍👍👍
@@mystic2982 I limited the 4090 to a power target of 70%. Now it draws way less power than my previous GPU while maintaining double the fps. That was one of the reasons I decided to give it a try.
I got into the game after watching the anime, as I wanted more of the world and setting, that the show presented. Back before release I was looking forward to the game for more than 3 years, and I was sad to see the release state, and honestly had written it off. But I love the game. It clearly has that incredible world building and character depth that CDPR are known for, and the combat is so fun, that I'm almost max level but still in Act III. I just love traveling around looking for cool clothes, doing gigs and taking in the atmosphere. It's so good!
Got a 3080ti and Cyberpunk is unreal at 1440p maxxed out with over 60 FPS Even with it's shortcoming, I'm glad they didn't dumb it down for older consoles and machines
I'm downloading this to re-play this the way it was meant to be played... once my 4090 shows up on Wednesday. I'm really looking forward to it, this just pumped me up a bit more too!
I just noticed: if you don’t tell Jackie to change the tailpipe when you first see him on the bike, it won’t change to a quad exhaust when you get the ride. Hope this helps everyone!!
I'm on my 5th playthrough (all 5 on PS5) and I still pop in just to walk around. I've been deep into photo mode and it just shows how a simple screen grab can look so incredible
I just started playing on my PS5, the biggest thing I have noticed is there is next to no street traffic. Is that the case with you, or do I have to tweak my settings in someway?
Love this from you Tom. CP2077 is an incredible game and deserves the revival its had. And I always kill the son and let the dad live with the pain as retribution for what he does
What Regina meant about scroll is the recording. Father and son did not record the BD, the murderer did. They pick the recording and edit it to make a comercial BD, tuning up adrenaline, removing bad sensations, etc...
Some of the settings you cranked up can actually be put to low or even straight up disabled with 0 graphical impact but a huge performance boost. You wouldn't even need the generated frames and it'd look even better overall
Excellent video for an excellent game! I also think it's a masterpiece. I did a first run in 2020, but since the last update, I'm playing again, and it's really amazing! The exploration, the immersion and the graphics are really crazy Thanx!
I never had problems with the game at launch, maybe because i had a good Rig, not the best, but good, or maybe i got lucky. Played the game for more 200 hours and got all ending just before patch 1.6. I'm glad to see you having fun in the game, this video is refreshing contrary to all those who bash the game, which point more to the old gen console's bugs. Too bad for PS4 players, is not your time anymore, PC master race!
10:59 that guy was just chilling and waiting for the end times to happen And to think that I'm playing this game with a gtx1070 and find it beautiful 🤣🤣 can't even imagine how it feels with a high end PC
i have been playing cyberpunk pretty much from day one and so many things have changed. i have always loved the game, even with its many bugs and glitches, however, as of right now, i have never enjoyed playing it more. Im still expanding on my fisrt character and its a blast, it really is
Just a correction, the frame generation tech itself has been out for quite a while now. If you see those youtube videos that makes anime opening and endings to 4k at 60FPS, that's basically the same tech. Just in this case, it's on 3D and realtime but the basic principle is the same.
Just downloaded as I got it cheap and heard I was fixed. Thanks for no spoilers and showing me what it can look like, I know my old PC won't manage that!

I feel like mfs need to be a bit more clear about this. Rn everyone supporting the bad endings always talks like they have a fetish for bad endings.
dont get me wrong, i dont mind sad endings....as long as they make some goddam sense
What's sad, is that this game hasn't changed outside of QoL improvements and bug fixes, it's been a fantastic gem the entire time.
Yep its literally the same game with some new quests and such always has been good game all this time
yea idk the most things he showed in the video was how good the game looks. Which it did at launch if you had a beefy pc. Like not much actually changed tbh. I like the game but he is overhyping it haaard af now
@@OcarinaOfVali No not really. The things like water graphics, people with half a face or even no head at all, t posing. Yes it isn’t graphic related but it isnt a visually nice game when everyone is T posing or not acting like “the most believable city in a video game to date”

once they are happy with the game state they will add more content. They did the same to The Witcher!

I went corpo too! Cant believe how big a flop this was

2 more things:
The edgerunner edit music is so amazing Tom!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it 🥰
Ahh, this brings back the memories of when you played this game at launch on stream. Mainly because of the unfortunate thumbnail of the character creation screen 🤣😅
Congrats on the second PC, glad that it's so beefy since you had to wait so long 😁🧡
It's been 84 years... 👴
@@sqlevolicious "I find it sad that you enjoyed something I don't enjoy"
I think "garbage" is completely inaccurate.
I haven't played the game personally but this is still not what they had shown us in their launch trailer
bro whenever i see the meme of Keanu crying after watching edgrunners i cry
I loved the Edgerunners songs throughout the video. That was a really nice touch. That show had one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard.

Which one was the song tom was singing in the car ??!

Recently got into it and it's a game I least expected to love so much
Played it at launch on PC, and I’m glad people are having such a good experience with it now. I never had any game-breaking glitches, so I loved it from the start.
But I’m thrilled that CDProjekt kept at it, despite all of the negativity. It’s really something special now.
@@LooseFalcon whats the difference now? is it on unreal engine 5 or they just spruced it up?

This was absolutely amazing, I'm definitely giving this game a try now. Amazing commentary by the way, Tom!

Its a damn shame this game released in the state it did. Underneath all the messy bugs and glitches is one of the most well written videogame stories I have ever experienced. And the gameplay, when its working right, is equally as good.
