No worries 😊 Dental school admission requirements include pre-requisites (biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, statistics/calculus, english) and of course "recommended courses." I got my Bachelors in Microbiology so I already had to take those classes anyways. Getting a degree is always recommended so you are prepared for their curriculum . Schools also require a Dental Admissions Test (DAT) which covers bio, chem, ochem, quantitive reasoning, reading and a Perseptual Ability Test (PAT). You apply, interview by invitation only, then wait for an acceptance (hopefully!) It was a very long process. I applied July 2015, invited for an interview in Dec. Interviewed Janurary and accepted in Feb! I started school this August 😊 Hope this clarifies some admission questions/how I ended up in dental school! 😜 keep in mind there are many other factors that play a role in admission like community service, letters of recommendations, personal statements, etc!

I agree! X) I ave been on the hunt for the perfect foundation for years, and then I found Koh Gen Do... and it's the best!! It's the only (except for an accidental purchase of Kanebo Aqua - don't buy that one...) foundation I have repurchased twice! I wish it wasn't so expensive -_-
Pleeeeease do the concealer reviews if you can - you are one of those people I would actually trust :) Best of luck with your education though! I was just done with my graduate degree this summer :)
oh my gosh I'm taking my DAT next month! I would love to hear your advice on that!! Is it seriously 90percent for pass tho... lol
Oh how exciting!! I will definitely get in making videos on DAT advice as well as other things for Pre-Dents. Not very many videos out there so I look forward to creating something for ya! My best advice I could give now is to practice practice practice. Don't get caught up in just studying/memorizing material. You have to apply your knowledge to questions bc essentially that is what you'll be doing. My best resource was DAT bootcamp to practice questions. Don't get discouraged your first time or first few times if you aren't happy with your performance. Also I highly recommend taking the old DAT that is available for download on ADEA (I think, it's out there somewhere!!) I found at least 2 question on my DAT that were repeats from the old exam. I took it 2 weeks before my real DAT while timing myself. It gave me a pretty good idea of how I was going to perform for THE day!! Practicing questions will help you focus on what your weaknesses are and improve them. Wishing you the best of luck in your studies!! Btw take a look at Roseman and apply here! ;)
Btw here is a source I found to answer any questions on DAT scoring: "The DAT grades you on 6 different subjects on a standard scale out of 30 points. The average test taker will score a 17 (50th percentile). The average for acceptance is a 19-20AA (~85th percentile). This is just an average though, a quick look at the ADEA Guide to Dental Schools shows that students get accepted with lower scores as well!" You got this 😘

I just enrolled in DAT bootcamp recently and I wish I enrolled earlier! it's really awesome and helpful. glad to know I'm on the right path XD I always loved your videos and I'm sure you'll come up with very resourceful and helpful videos for prospective and new students! I would love to go to the same school as you but unfortunately I'm from Canada and we have a reduced version of the DAT (no org Chem thank god) so I don't think I can go to the states. Anyways, all the best on your courses and boards. don't feel pressured to make videos if you don't have time. love you and good luck! 😘
