- Is Dyfi bikepark as fun or as scary as it appears on social media. When I found out I was heading to the bikepark I was struck by fear. The fear of not have ridden my bike in 6 weeks, not hit a single jump and have been on a stable diet of takeaway food. Great! After watching a few videos on UA-cam of some other mountain bike channels going there I felt a little more at ease knowing that the place was not strictly full of these huge crazy jumps you seen online.
We spent the day getting shuttled to the top and trying to ride as many of the tracks in the bikepark as possible. I will say though, my fitness or my bike skill was nowhere near the level I was once and yet I had such a good day. All the boys in the group including my father was able to handle every trail we descended into and got out the other side with either a huge smile or a thrill of surviving a section. The Athertons have done an outstanding job on creating a bikepark that allows everyone to have a good time on the hill!

How you getting on with the brakes on that bike ? I’ve had nothing but grief 😅 sick shredding though ! Looks wicked
@@mikeo5754 they are not the best to be honest. A nice feel but not very powerful. Awful just after you change your pads too
@@JamesRobertMTB I’ve had issues since I’ve had it from bleeding etc 😅 I’ve just had to change my pads after 5 rides 😂
Great vid! I love it there 😊 One thing that’s hard to portray are the speeds you can achieve and some of the big berms are steep, almost shutes. Anyway, glad you mentioned your dad. Us oldies can shred the likes of Dyfi well enough to look cool with the younger gang - I’m 67 and my 60 yr old mate’s even ‘faster’. 🎉🎉🎉 Liked and subscribed!!!

That was my worry before going, but honestly even the reds are fine to get down. Everything is rollable on them, you can go as fast or as slow as you like!!!! You will love it !
Haha there is no way any of you are average riders! See my recent videos of the speed I took 50 Hits at and my inability to make any of the jumps but I'm only 2 years into having a full suspension bike so hopefully I can get to something like your levels soon 👍 EDIT - spotted my camper in the car park so must have been there on the same Saturday a few weeks ago 😁
As long as you are having fun, it does not matter what level you are at!! I just say despite the weather the day before the trails were in perfect condition 💨

Best place for sure. Nothing compares! It's getting pretty rough recently though, swooper used to be so smooth.
