The drone aka "personal flying assistant" is very nice but how do you manage with the battery life as it seems short at only 15 minutes? Are you forced to carry an extra power bank or battery in your pocket?
I haven't had a problem with the battery life yet. No one would want to watch 15+ minutes of straight drone footage anyways. It's more for establishing the scene, or for unique shots.
There's a place in the NW UK, called Blackpool. It's like a combination of post explosion Chenobyl and Skid Row. It rains 51 weeks a year. Even the sea is brown. There's a guy there who has bought a hotel and reckons it will be an up and coming location for digital nomads. Personally I ain't holding my breath! Thailand looks just a tad nicer.

Chiang Mai. I was there during burning season, but I still loved it. That was 20 years ago. Also close to some hills so you can go up and cool down if you need to. Jomtien Beach . Just south of Pattaya, I found it to be a world different than Pattaya. Just a kilometer or due to the north. I was there with a young family and it felt fantastic.

Been in Pattaya for last 3 months now. Man time flew so quick. Last few days here, and I found a great apartment at Soi Pattayaklang 14. 3 min walk to the beach and 1 min walk to Soi Bhukao. 10k baht per month plus el and water excellent internet. Love your Ukraine content. And interesting to see you use new tech. I checked out the DJI store today, they have a small hand held gimbal for the Osmo camera. That would be excellent for you. Check it out. I think it has auto follow with an osmo action cam.

Pratumnak isn't Jomtien.....Close, but quite different...The 7 eleven there is great - certainly a nice place to watch the sunset... Soi Welcome/Richmond is good...Paul does a good bit of charity work and keeps the community going.
@JohnnyFD Fair enough...I guess Pratumnak is a little more HiSo and has the royal residences... It's also a huge hill... I generally prefer Jomtien for the flat long beach, street food vendors, and buses, although the construction of recent makes it fairly bad...

How can human traffickers cross the Thai-Myanmar border so easily? Why are they able to abduct people in Thailand without anyone at the border stepping in to stop them? These criminals likely have the protection of corrupt officials within the Thai government. The Thai authorities must take decisive action to eradicate human trafficking and restore safety and trust.
Those aren't tourists. They are people who sign up for ‘high-pay’ jobs scams or call center work and get their passports taken away. There is a lot of corruption in Myanmar's China backed government.

Most SE Asian countries are affordable and warm in winter. In some parts of Thailand, such as Chiang Mai, however, you need to be aware of the field burning season in Jan, which results in nasty air pollution. Alternatively, if you want low-cost flights and no hassles with visas, Alicante, Spain, is warm year round and a pleasant place to hang out on the beaches.
Been to Jomtien Beach, filled with surly Russians running from the war. Did not like it at all, after two months left to go back to Vienna then eventually back to Kyiv. Love Kyiv in the spring/summer and fall. Winter does get old there.

For the DTV visa, how do you show 'proof of employment with a registered company' if you are a freelancer working for yourself?

I ignore the Russians who live here, better they hide here than in trenches in Ukraine. I too prefer spring/summer/fall in Kyiv and will be back.
