@@ducksareurlords3782 Yes!! Was randomly listening to some baroque and remembered this composition, knew it was Bach who wrote it, but the only place I knew where to find it was Tetris lmao. Thank you!! :D
I'd listen to the tile screen music over and over again, when it ended I'd do the four finger solute, pressing A, B, Start and Select to restart the game.
That's not the full soundtrack. You're lacking the one playing when entering your score, and the one playing when the russians dance and when the rocket shows
1990 - got my GB at age 6. GB came with Tetris, which I disliked. Due to NES playing in the mall, I was mainly interested in games like Super Mario Land. Sometimes I played Tetris though, but got bored sooner or later. Nowadays I like Tetris and these tunes make me nostalgic. In fact I think these tunes are very well executed.
odd, A-type song is different on my version, the other 2 are the same. Was this changed in a later revision for some reason? edit: yep, tetris theme is only on version 1.1
I actually always picked type C because I thought it was really cool and intricate! Then 15 years later I was a music major and in music history we listened to Bach's French Suite #3.... we got to the minuet and I was like THAT'S TETRIS MUSIC C
nah ive noticed this problem before. it happens to me if i higher the game boy volume too much. ive recorded other video game music with the volume lowered a bit and most of the clipping disappeared

This style of music (classical chiptune) influenced me quite a lot as a musician.
Happy 30th year of existence Tetris
Type A: “Korobeiniki”, a Russian folk song
Type B: appearantly an original composition
Type C: a version of “French Suite #3 in B minor” by Bach
C-Type is so underrated, love it.
It is actually the French menuet #3 by J.S Bach.
lmao i love the idea of any of these compositions being underrated

When I was a kid, I would just listen to the music till the batteries died
jaredhaden1989 I don't blame you, I love the tetris soundtrack. It goes back to the 80s.

1991 same, dude
Agree. This version is not quite right though. It must be from an emulator.
i did come here just to put on loop while writing termodynamics equations on a ppt presentation, no regrets

no one ever played the third song.
I have to disagree, I choose C-Type a lot when I play Tetris. Although, I appreciate all of the tunes in the game.
you mean you appreciate all the Soviet marches in this game?
Maybe I do, Agus, maybe I do...
*dons a fur cap and stands out in the cold*
I did. It sounds like playing Tetris in Transylvania.

why the fuck is it so clippy?
Terminox probably the person recorded it on the gameboy and accidentally lowered the volume sometimes.
