      I know I should have filmed it. I’m so bad about filming plant chores. My space is so limited it’s hard to do it with all the equipment. But I do have an update on my TT if you have that! 💚💚

    Shannon! 🥰 omg your Zara is so beautiful! I totally agree with you, start with small anthuriums is the way to go… they grow fast and give you so much joy when they get bigger. Just bought a tiny Tezula RC X DC F2 Mag for my bday 🩷 looking forward to huge pink leaves

    Hi Shannon, thank you so much for these tips. I do really love to experiment with my plants, and I bought a huge but cheap Dark hybrid Anthurium but Got anxiety - what if I could not get a new leaf that was Big like the other 🙈🤪and I knew that it could start over from stumps, so I chopped it in three. But they havent done great, I had just put Them into the same soil mix. But now I put Them in Moss and 100% humidity, and I cant wait to see in a week or so, I trust the process and your tips 🤩.
    I just started my plant journey a year ago and I though that I would never get Anthuriums, but now I have the pallidoflorum, a clarinervium, a few pappililanum x seeds and some other cute hybrids. They have become easily accessable here in Denmark and I love that.

      @@MichelleDiget how exciting!! You are so brave to have chopped so soon into your journey growing them! I was sooo scared to prop them and I have still only propped my queen 😂 I’m so easy to prop any other genus but for some reason anthuriums make me scared hahah. I think it the close internodal spacing that makes me leary. But I have faith that they will restart for you beautifully! Make sure they are also under bright light if you can. That really helps too!! I love love love papilillaminum so much. They make such beautiful hybrids I would love to see yours when they grow up a bit. Follow me on insta if you have one so I can seeeee!!! The hobby is so much fun and so rewarding. I’m excited for you! Thank you for being here and for watching. I really appreciate you! 💚

    Hey Shanon, thanks for sharing your experience with us. I love your big and beautiful anthuriums and was wondered how you do it! I'm new to anthurium growing and recently bought a baby luxurians and would like to grow her well! Do you think baby anthuriums need lots of light?

    • @Planted386
      @Planted386  6 днів тому

      Oh yay!! I’m so happy you found this helpful!! Thank you for being here and for watching. In my experience yes, my baby anthuriums do well under brighter light. They may get a little bleached but they grow like crazy under light. Just be sure to water accordingly. Lux when little will need water as it grows into a more mature plant like mine it can go a little bit dry. I have found my velvet leafs absolutely don’t let them dry out but the non velvets are a little more resilient with water. I’m so excited for you!! Let me know if you have any questions and welcome to the very addicting anthurium club!! 🤩

    I’m thinking of buying the Pro Mix and not buy the Peat Moss and Perlite that would help $$$ wise. I will still use Tree Fern Fiber though I think that is a miracle drug for my plants.

    • @Planted386
      @Planted386  5 днів тому

      I’m telling you girl when you touch that soil for the first time you will totally get it. Tree fern is useful it’s just not for me. I like to water and it’s so humid here that I just don’t feel it necessary. Pro mix does it. I challenge you to try one plant without with just Promix I would be soooo curious!! Do it for me!! For science!! 😊😂

    How do you keep the moss on the soil moist? Do you spray them down every day? That’s my only concern about it because it’s a ton more work

    • @Planted386
      @Planted386  4 дні тому

      My moss stays wet the entire duration of the week. I do not mist it daily. Just when watering be sure to saturate it thoroughly if you use enough it should be fine. I also cut my moss with scissors into small bits which probably helps as well. It will def help. Because the soil layer below the moss remains damp it should also keep the moss damp. 😊

    I ordered a dorayaki silver x magnificum and I'm just hoping it comes in good condition. I've never had anthurium before, so this video was really helpful. It's also very dry where I live. My humidifier is already working overtime, so I set up a fish tank in my bathroom that will hopefully retain moisture better. I had a small grow tent at my last place, but it was super ugly. I think it's about time for me to finally get a milsbo. How was your experience setting it up? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    • @Planted386
      @Planted386  5 днів тому

      @@bedhead-studio oh how exciting!!! I’m sooooo happy for you. Yes if you are in dryer conditions I highly recommend a cabinet. The set up is a bit stressful I’m not going to lie. It’s totally worth it 💯 but it’s something you will need to take your time with. The glass was the hardest part to install for me and honestly I would have probably inserted the glass first before adding the top on in hindsight but I followed the directions. There is also tutorials on YT if you are a visual kind of learner like myself. Barrina also has some nice little set up’s if you check out the website but not as pretty as ikea. However my Barrina cabinet held humidity better than any of my ikeas. If you have any questions at all feel free to DM me on insta we can share photos there and that might be more beneficial if you need help on installing your cabinet. It’s such a fun experience and overall the vibe of adding a greenhouse cabinet is 💯 a game changer for finding zen. 💚
