Black Adam vs Hela. The Asgardian Goddess of Death vs the Champion of Kahndaq. Who would come out on top in a death match?
Black Adam is insanely strong, insanely fast, can shoot lightning from his fingertips and has absolutely no problem killing, while Hela is all that…but a woman. She’s crazy strong, is a warrior menace, and will mow down anyone on in her path
So…who would win between these two insanely powerful villains? Well today…thats what we’re gonna find out!

I doubt it was her pure grip strength. She’s so nerfed in the movies(as is everyone except cpt America). Her true powers in the comics is her Death Touch and I believe she used it to destroy the hammer.

Mjolinir is said to have the mass of an entire star. Which is why nobody can lift it unless they are "worthy". The magic is somehow keyed to morality and conviction - canceling the mass for those who are noble of heart. And why it cannot be stopped in mid flight. That's why lifting it is supposedly not about strength. Except if you can lift a star, you can lift Mjolinir. If you can throw the mass of a star around, you can wield Mjolinir without it's magic working for you.
Which means Hela is demonstrably strong enough to lift an entire star with ease. No wonder she was throwing Thor around like a rag doll. She was probably holding back just for fun.
Loved Kate Blanchett as Hela! They need to bring her back in the MCU!

Hela maybe on Adam’s level of durability and strength. Maybe even stronger. But it's the speed that's gonna hurt her. And we all know unlike Superman, he has no problem killing
Hela caught Thor's hammer mjolnir mid flight which store spins and throws at several times the speed of light (in the comics thousands of times the speed of light). Even in the second Thor movie we see the hammer it teleported to another planet in another realm by the space stone and it took it second to fly back to Thor on earth through space. That's faster then anything or anyone we have seen move in the MCU or DCEU up to this point

Black Adam can make people look like statues. Hela is physically more impressive. Especially when she's on Asgard. Many here seem to forget or don't know of the other powers and abilities Hela possesses. Black Adam is no threat to the Goddess of Death.
Hela easily crushed mjolnir while weakened. In an MCU guidebook, it was described that nidavellir's star exploded whole forging Mjolnir. That means Hela while weakened is star level. Black Adam is at best city level. Hela eviscerates Black Adam no diff.

I agree with everything said. Many in the comments mention black adam wins because of speed. I'd propose we'd pull directly from the movies. Black Adam didn't use his super speed not once when fighting hawk man or Sabat at the end. So.. I'd assume he wouldn't use it against Hella. As for Hella only being strong in Asgard.. we technically can't answer how strong she is outside of Asgard except for her capturing Mjolnor. However, the hammer is magical so it wasn't her strength that stopped the hammer but her magical abilities linked to the hammer. Just speculating here but I think Hella's abilities, even away from Asgard, would still be enough to deal with Black Adam.. the only thing he has over her is speed but we've seen that he doesn't even use it when dealing with one on one battles as I stated earlier (which i think is stupid but i get it.. with that kind of speed, there wouldn't be a battle between black adam and hawk man or black adam and sabat, they made him slow down to keep the fights interesting)

This one is a tough one cuz hela is stronger, more durable and an instantaneous healing factor so she's basically invincible to black Adam's attacks, but black adam is significantly faster and he can dodge just about any necro swords hela throws at him, black adam is for sure gonna get more hits on hela but none of his attack will permanently injure her, but helas necro swords are too slow and black adam could just dodge them. Hela still wins but this was a hard one.

@@R1kual even Atom Smasher squashed him. Why didn't he just dodge that slow hit? Thor snatched Loki from Tony in Avengers before Tony could react. That's Thor's reaction time. Moving at the speed of his hammer while accurately grabbing Loki within a second. Hela may have a similar reaction time. If so then Adam isn't fast enough to dodge everything coming at him.
Black Adam has much more speed. If she can grapple with him, maybe, but he doesn't really have to let her catch him.
True he's alot faster, but he himself as a character does not use that speed consistently. He lets bullets hit him, he lets people hit him, he lets missiles hit him. Basically what he doesn't feel like dodging he lets hit him
The scene where he was moving so fast the world stopped was more of a plot device to showcase his speed and to copy the quicksilver's scene. Difference is tho, if he lets hella hit him, he's probably dead if it hits his face or if she hits him consistently

@@Imb_tha_goat Hela can react to lightning point blank range we haven’t seen black Adam move that fast we’ve seen missiles slow down around him which isn’t that impressive a missile typically goes Mach 5 so he’s at best 2-3x faster in his perception all he has over Hela is travel speed as she cannot fly.
@@Marshkoon well now you're underplaying black Adams speed, we've also seen black Adams lightning slow down around him as well. And we haven't actually seen her move at the speeds of black Adam In combat, he blitzes opponents and she never does this so it's probably just her reaction time that moves this fast, and black Adams reaction time is just as fast if not faster and he moves faster in battle.

TOLD YOU!!! Hela wins with ease ! She is literally on ODIN LEVEL… Odin couldn’t just strip her of her power like he did Thor. NO. Odin had to em prison her until he couldn’t anymore because he was to weak and didn’t sleep long enough to fully energize his power back up. I don’t think hela is fully even dead yes she is weaken now because Asgard was destroyed but DIED?!? BA easily picked up that statue so we don’t really know what he scales to… we can assume he’s around Superman as that’s what the build up was for. As long as Hela isn’t on Asguard I think BA takes it. Her attacks are just way to slow.

It is very arguable if Black Adam scales to giant Surtur but I think it gives a hint to how defenseless Hela can be when her Necroswords are useless against her opponent. I still think based on showings Black Adam comes out on top whether or not they fight on Asgard, Thor's lightning is a joke in comparison, considering destructive capacity in combat

Hela has every advantage if she stayed on Asgard. She becomes stronger,faster,durable and even Deadlier the longer she keeps staying on Asgard the harder the fight coz BA isn't a slouch unfortunately he will lose with Hela giving him respect as a worthy opponent before she kills him.But on earth BA destroys and it's not even a question. Hela destroying Mjonhr is because of authority of having magic and a goodess not brute strength although I'll give it to her 6.4/10

Black Adam's consistent strength level is well below his best feat (naturally) due to struggling with those Fate clones, struggling with Hawkman in a brawl, failing to injure Sabbac with his hits, needing to electrify Sabbac with an out-of-control lightning burst to rip him apart, failing to damage the Crown even though the Intergang mercenaries were afraid of bullets hitting it, having to gain altitude to bust an eroding stone chair and Skill:
Hela was able to consistently keep Thor on his toes while they were fighting,
While Hela was less than impressed,
So Hela is one of the most skilled characters in the MCU.
Strength:
While at her absolute weakest she crushed Mjolnir with little to no difficulty,
Mjolnir survived the core of a star,
This makes her strength star level while she isn’t trying and at her weakest.
Durability:
Hela survived the most powerful lightning blast in the history of lightning,
This makes this lightning blast more powerful than the one which shook Jotunheim,
And caused this,
And exposed Space,
And this is 100 times bigger than the grand cannon,
And that makes Earth much smaller than Jotunheim,
So Hela’s durability is large planet level.
This lightning blast should also be more powerful than the one which destroyed the Aether,
Even though the Aether did reform Hela was only unconscious after being struck by a stronger lightning blast,
This means that Hela has a durability equal to that or greater than the Aether.
Power:
While on Asgard Hela possesses near limitless power,
She called the Casket Of Ancient Winters weak,
The casket can cover an entire planet in a new ice age.
And she says that the Tesseract is “not bad”,
Which can destroy a planet,
Her weapons can slice through Thor,
the same Thor who can take attacks from the Reality Stone and only get a few scratches,
The Aether can destroy the universe,
But if you want to say Malekith wasn’t using his full power then we’ll use the feat of destroying a star to scale the Aether in this scene,
And this means that Hela’s swords alone can destroy a star.
Want more proof? She easily killed Skurge,
Skurge’s armour is made of Uru,
This is the same metal Mjolnir is made of you know the one which survived the core of a star.
Heimdall said that Hela will consume the cosmos,
Cosmos is another word for universe,
And since Hela has near limitless power I’m going to say that Hela has the potential to become Universal!
So In Short:
Hela is very casually star level even at her weakest, solar system level to multi-solar system level throughout most of the movie and she has the potential to be universal.

No, she is not more durable than Black Adam. She may have higher survivability due to the healing, but that's not durability. She was stabbed through with a sword... so, the question then is, can she instantly heal if he rips her in half?

It’s funny cuz the only thing dc characters ever have over the mcu is their speed. Which is mostly cuz their big name characters are just slightly different versions of Superman. But mcu characters are faster than what we give them credit for. I just think dc does a better job of showing their speed. But in every other category, hela scales way above him. He’d punch her and she’d just think it’s cute. Meanwhile she’d could impale him at any given time. Cuz no matter how fast black Adam is, he still let slower characters tag him. A sword in the right place could end him

Were the battle to take place in Asgard, Hela would have an advantage but she's not invincible.
Thor's lightning is just that: natural lightning made more powerful when Thor doesn't hold back.
Black Adam's lightning is mystical and is powered by "gods" we know next to nothing of. But we do know BA is also a good practitioner of magic just as the Egyptian "gods" were and BA can tap into that power. That being said, BA's lightning powered by sorcery Hela had never felt before will hurt Hela especially if the battle isn't in Asgard or any of the Nine Realms.
Hela's decimation of the Asgardian forces wasn't all that impressive. The best warrior for Team Asgard in that conflict was Hogun the Grim. Hogun is an above average, highly skilled warrior born while the Soldiers of Asgard were just average Asgardian warriors.
Before he became Black Adam, he was described as a highly skilled warrior.
I daresay once Hela scores with those Night Blades BA would fight from a distance hitting Hela with the lightning and using his magic to keep her off balance and moving so fast Hela would not notice BA pierced her chest with the one of three items that could end the life of The Night Queen Hela: her own ebony blades. Odin's spear Gungnir and Surtur's sword Twilight being the remaining two.

Hela felt a sharp pain her neck and fell. When she opened her eyes, the Daughter of Odin was looking at the smiling face of Black Adam. Behind BA, her eyes fell upon something and she screamed in rage, pain and disbelief but no sound could be heard: "I am the Goddess of Death! Death cannot die. Death is eternal!"
Hela's body laid out on the ground, in a growing puddle of Hela's darkened blood. The hands grabbing for something to support the body still shaking violently with the head of Odin's firstborn, unaccustomed to pain, held firmly in the grasp of the warrior who somehow the only way to defeat Hela was to go for the head.
Hela was fully conscious and knew her conquerer flew higher into the gathering storm clouds and spoke his word, not once but twice. "I cannot kill you, Night Queen. And there are fates far worse than death."
Her body struck by lightning, thoroughly destroyed as her decapitated head emerged from a portal, doomed to float in space, screaming in an impotent rage.
" Away from Asgard, Hela could not draw upon the magics of her ancestors to replenish and sustain what little remained of her life force. Asgardians are not immortal. Away from the source of her power, time and space will do what I could not".
Asgard is gone......

1. The destruction of Asgard after the Death of Odin, Hela and Surtur releases a shockwave of power that travels in single direction. A small portion breaks away flying in the the opposite direction.
2. While New Asgard, Thor and Valkyrie will be training new warriors. After nightfall, Thor and Valkyrie are watching TV when Loki is trying to escape the TV when Thor and Valkyrie start getting physical. Loki keeps saying "Beware, brother... Thanos fears him for he preys upon Celestials.."
3. Hercules mace destroys the TV. Thor and Hercules fight, Hercules gets the better of Thor and starts flirting with Valkyrie.
4. Thor becomes lightning Thor and bests Hercules.
5. The ball of light hits Thor and he starts having visions of planets exploding and the explosion is drawn into a black hole

The simple fact that Hela is the actual Goddess of Death, just based on that fact alone, she is the very embodiment of Death , and because of that she has ultimate control over the mortality of all physical beings be they mortal or other Gods. And while Black Adam may have the powers of the Greek God's, he himself was not created a God, he's just a mortal human gifted Godly powers.

The Hype on Hela's feats based on Thor's scaling doesn't just cut it for me. The rings were frozen and all rocket and Thor did with their combined effort was break the ice, doesn't necessarily put Thor on small planet or moon buster level. The same with his durability taking the force of the dying star. He took just a fraction required to forge the stormbraker (and barely survived) but marvel fanboys hype the feat to a star level durability feat. I think this is quite close but I will go for black Adam because he has much more impressive brute strength and the only way Hela could defeat him is if her Necroswords could do any damage. Hela never had to face a contender at the level of Black Adam in the Mcu and Thor isn't even close with showings in combat, so its hard to tell how she will fare in the fight especially if her Necroswords are useless against Black Adam as they were against Surtur. Black Adam scales close to Clark in Dceu and Clark is said many times to be beyond planet busting level, so it is reasonable to conclude that Black Adam will come out on top in this fight as Hela didn't survive the planet busting energy from Surtur's destruction of Asgard
All this hype about the star fear Thor did didnt translate well in Endgame cuz Pizza,beer belly,and fortnite defeated the unbeatable MCU God...If pll think that feat couldnt be peformed easily by Superman or BA they are nuts.

With Black Adams speed, he can simply redirect all of Hellas swords and spears right back at her. Even if she threw a hailstorm of swords at Black Adam, they're all too slow to land a hit.
So once again, we're back to a stalemate. Neither one can significantly harm the other. Black Adam can land blows, but none can do significant harm. While Hela can do harm, she cannot land a blow.
But Hela would get a lucky shot in eventually. Eventually. And Black Adam needs time to heal himself. While this fight might go on for hours, perhaps even days, Hela still has a slight edge.

Mcu dceu it’s a close match but I think hela takes it, in Asgard it’s a no contest. If we are talking comics then hela absolutely stomps without any real issues. Let’s not forget that black Adam is still technically human and while he doesn’t age in his black Adam form due to magic of I think mehen, there’s no reason to believe that hela’s level of magic could easily scale above that and simply age him to death. Comics fight for me is low diff to hela.
