      you are lucky, we have Kx in Russia, and they are cosmically expensive from 5,000-10,000 USD, so our salaries are also small, only the rich can afford such equipment(

    I just wish there was a kit to make this bike street legal, as well as for trail use. It would make an excellent all-purpose, do everything, Swill army knife kind of bike. And it could keep up with traffic in a 55mph two-lane as well. It would sure make the Z125 obsolete with its 30HP two-stroke engine, as opposed to the 10HP 4-stroke on the Z125!

      I hear you man,That would be great. I’ve actually seen some people add a headlight, taillight and blinkers and get license plates for 4 stroke dirtbikes, but I don’t think 2 strokes are allowed to be registered no more due to emissions.

    Man I wish Kawasaki would bring back like a KX250 with an 18 inch back wheel to run with Yamahas YZ250X. I want a 2 stroke 250, but the YZ250R is too motocross and the YZ250X is too tamed.

      I haven’t run into any cops but I assume they’ll probably tell me to get off the street. The area that I’m in it’s being developed still and the cops out here seem pretty cool about riding on the street.

      @@omar_perez1386 traffic rules are pretty insane. 4mph over speed limit will get you 200$ ticket. And 10mph can make you loose license in some cases😅

    It would be so nice if there were kits to make these bikes street legal. Really wish I could drive one of these around my town but police are more picky about off road vehicles being on the road

    Hey are these bikes really that much louder than a 4 stroke? I want a yz85 or kx100, but my dad says they are to loud…

    • @omar_perez1386
      @omar_perez1386  2 місяці тому

      Yes, they are much louder than a 4 stroke. That said, they are also way more fun to ride than a 4 stroke. They are lighter and more playful, and when you hit the power band they just take off. Also they have no engine brake which makes it feel more like a bike. The only thing that I found with my first 2 stroke is that at altitude where I’m at you have to adjust the jets or the air/fuel mix ratio. If I were you I would convince my dad to get the KX85, it’s definitely more fun than any other 4 stroke out there. Have fun and ride safe!

      @TUXzere Im about 5’10” 175lbs and the KX85 was plenty fast for me and I could plant my feet just fine, but I got the small wheel size not the big wheel. Now I’m trying to buy the 2025 KX112 now that I’m a little more experienced.

    23 85, 17 front and 14 rear. I’m 510 and currently at 185 and seriously thinking on the rm85 same size wheels, clearance deal, any cautions?

    • @omar_perez1386
      @omar_perez1386  Рік тому

      The only few things I’ve noticed are that the power delivery is not the same as a 4stroke bike, it’s a lot more aggressive on the power band (but makes it more fun),
      Also clearance I haven’t had an issue there but going up sidewalks or bigger bumps you need to be on the throttle for the suspension to absorb the hit or pull on the handle bars, I didn’t have that issue with my cbr250 but it also had bigger wheels. Other than that I think you’ll love the RM85 I’m at 5’10” as well and 180lbs and the bike still moves. I’m really considering getting the Kawasaki 112. That bike comes ready from the factory and has bigger wheels and more power.

      @@omar_perez1386 Thanks for the response. I’ll be 53 this year and currently own a 22 Crf450rl, it’s a nice bike, it’s big and heavy. I’ve been watching pit bike vids forever and see the fun in it. I was going to go with a klx110rl (big wheel) which is still smaller than the rm85. I had to take both left over models to escape additional dealer fees, they just want to move the old stock. 1291 off each bike plus no freight and admin which would be another 3 to 4 hundred. Nothing better than having a bike for a friend when they visit, plus the wife promises to give it a go.

      @@omar_perez1386I’m assuming you don’t have the 250rx and the 250f anymore, any regrets settling for the kx85, I’m assuming not.

    • @omar_perez1386
      @omar_perez1386  Рік тому

      @billp3995 the only regret was not waiting for the KX112. The 250RX was a lot of fun but it was too tall for me and I was having trouble stopping mid hill or climbing stuff. The 250F was perfect except it lacked acceleration, it was very mild power wise, it was a great beginner bike. I might upgrade to the KX112 next year. The KX85 is awesome but I wish it had slightly bigger wheels.

    • @billp3995
      @billp3995 Рік тому +1

      @@omar_perez1386 I bought the rm85. It doesn’t have the big wheels, I think the rm85 suspension is stiffer than the kx85 and the yz85, plus I tightened the rear spring. Would the bigger wheels make a difference, maybe, maybe not, maybe try tuning your suspension a little. I’m changing the jetting, fouled the plug right off the bat. So far I dropped the main jet from 128 to 125, also dropped the jet needle to the second position and turned the air screw out a quarter turn. I don’t know what the dealer mixed the gas at, sales guy said a little richer for the break in tank. I’m determined to burn the gas they used and keep the mix at recommendation, I did order some leaner pilot jets, I think the jetting will allow me to do more putting around instead of always cracking the throttle which of course is a hoot too. I’m going to part with the Honda, looking at some gas gas e-bikes, possibly another brand like Yamaha’s Moro 5 and 7.

      @omar_perez1386  4 місяці тому

      Hey bud, I’m not sure the age range. I would think it depends more on your abilities and how comfortable you are on a bike. I’m 36 years old and weight about 175lbs and the bike has plenty of power. If you never been on a 2 stroke I would recommend you start slow until you get used to the power band, they are incredibly fun to ride and super light weight.

    • @omar_perez1386
      @omar_perez1386  Рік тому +2

      2 strokes don’t have engine brake like 4 strokes do. I like to stay in gear instead of squeezing the clutch when slowing down so that’s what you hear. Who doesn’t love the power band on a 2 stroke lol.

      @DABEAST691 dude I know. I’m cringing. It’s not that there’s no engine braking that is hurting us @omar_perez1386 , it’s that slowing down without lubricating the engine is not good on it. When you “engine brake” a 2 stroke you’re not giving it any oil and gas mixture but requiring it to still revolve without getting the proper lubrication. You risk blowing it up. Cool vid tho

    • @omar_perez1386
      @omar_perez1386  Рік тому

      So how are you supposed to slow down? or, how would be the proper way to brake and to not have “engine brake”? Just curious.
