I did shift knob mod yesterday. Looked okay but now car does not believe it’s in Park after I shutoff. I suspect the wire you mentioned (I did not see such a wire).
I hope you see this but did you by any chance figure out how to fix it? Exact same problem for me, it shifts just fine but the door chime goes nuts when I open the driver door and remote start wont work. It has to be the same thing the car "doesn't believe its in park".
