"Eddie Vedder, wherever you are, you're a genius. You know, The Ramones' songs may be two minutes long, but that speech was not. It was actually a very short speech just spoken very slowly." 😂😂😂
@@RPostVideos He calls them as "The Talkingheads" before that and getting it right at the end is obviously accidental, in the sense you wouldn't say "THE Beatles, get up here" but would probably just say "Beatles get up here."
@@MrDruplicon No you're making an assumption, in reality it's more likely that when he says "The Talking Heads" he is not necessarily acknowledging that the band is actually called "The Talking Heads", but rather he was using the word "the" in reference to describing how the band made him feel, - it's more like: "the; Talking Heads", he is describing how "the band (Talking Heads) made me feel good". I.e. he doesn't say "The Talking Heads get the hell up here" because at that point he was no longer using their name in a descriptive sense. The mere fact that he worded it in the particular way that he did is a clear indication that he does in fact realise that they're correct name is "Talking Heads", based on the assumption that he does possess very elementary grammar.
OKaY this MAN is suppperrr smart...so I don't know why he sounds kind of idiotic in this Speech. Listen to anything he's said in the past 5 years. WOW., very very articulate, but this was kind unclassy , didn't like.

What an interesting speech.
The camera quality here is so great for 2002
what a lovely speech
Anthony I love you
How beautifiul he is
Back then he was. Nowadays, not much anymore 😆 Time to put a shirt on, Anthony, you're 60 years old.
The suit must be a homage to 'Stop Making Sense'.
Anthony is the Tom Brady of singers. Guy ages backwards
@Andrew Carroll 😆
Meu Deus como ele ta lindo
Omg The First Song I Listened To Was Psycho Killer Too And I Started Be Obsess With It Too😂 I Was In My Bedroom With My Dad✌🏻
That’s a lie and your a saddo
Nice. Heartfelt, I think, and I can't disagree.
I've never ever seen him so nervous and he said umm over and over.
I know, right? Like what happened to him?
you try standing up all alone in front of 250+ people trying to make a good speech everyone will appreciate and that will honor the talking heads
@@aguila1077 I'd be nervous too tbh
Only miserable people dislike Anthony.
I clicked to see an award handover to the T.H.s … not to hear the self-indulgent reminiscing of some shaggy doofus.
Who doesn't like this man and Klinghoffer or people is 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Huge chili peppers fan here and I dislike Anthony
Me encanta 💖 😍 💕
I love him ❤❤❤
That’s not Anthony kiedis, he’s wearing a suit
hahaha
😆
What I remember first was the " And she was " video on tv...blew my mind...
And then Anthony got inducted with the Chili Peppers a decade later
Oh......Anthony......I’m a librarian😉 I’m 60 tho so that my not fly for your taste 😋
Yeah I didn’t recognize him without a sock on his John Thomas @FOOEL
H A N D S O M E
He is so high I'm supposed he didn't get altitude sickness
It's just Talking Heads not *THE* Talking Heads
Stop Making Sense!
hey, who's inducting us?
anthony kiedis.
huh?
He is friends with the band and they picked him to induct them
Anthony is very very high... hahahahah
On life
High on fame. No longer druggs
No. He is 1.75. Yes, Chad is tall 1.90 kkkkk
Amazing he still manages to get their name wrong. The name of this band is Talking Heads.
He says "Talking Heads, get the hell up here!" at the end of his speech. How is this wrong?

@@MrDruplicon Shut up...

Love AK, but the ums are killing me…. lol
Let’s face it, nobody came here for Talking Heads, we came here for Anthony.
Yes indeed
Yep. All 16 of you.
No
Nah

Love Anthony Kiedis, but this was 2002, the Talking Heads got inducted way before more important bands. Just my opinion. Nothing against them.
Talking Heads are great. But they also attracted lot of the pseudo intellectual critics who put them on a pedestal.
Perhapes the worst Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction speech ever.
Mostly terrible speech... He made it too much about himself.
If it said 6 minutes of this guy talking l wouldn't have wasted my time.
I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT A TALKING HEADS ALBUMS.NOW THEY ARE IN THE CHEAP SECTION.I WON'T BUY THEM EITHER. Just never like David's voice or singing? Style.
Father Finger, where are you?
@@Soundofsilver2007 HIS MUSIC HASN'T AGED VERY VERY VERY VERY WELL...
@@fatherfinger Talking Heads' music has aged wonderfully. You're a dope

Okay..? Do you want a fucking medal?
